I can't play Subway Surfers due to screen sensitivity – The phone is good. Battery, apps running smoothly. But the "goods" don't outweigh the bads. Let's begin with the screen. It comes with an inbuilt blue filter over the front camera. This isn't pleasant when using artificial light to conduct a selfie unless you can handle looking like a smurf. There is no screen sensitivity option, only touch and… Read more

hold delay. I spent hours researching and asking people but the issue is unfixable. It majorly affects my Subway Surfers gameplay and it's almost impossible to get a decent high score. I'd understand if it happened every now and then, but every run ends with the touch sensor not detecting my swipes. After turning my screen on, it entails a "wake-up call", touching or swiping the screen before I can enter my passcode. Which is how I ended up replacing my dodgy "Galaxy A21s phone case". It didn't have a gap in the phone case for the fingerprint sensor. I found a proper case in the market.

The phone connection receiver is poor. Picking up transmissions of wifi and even mobile data in a high signal area is a strain. I move the phone around in the air, hoping to catch something, but people think I'm weird. My Galaxy S7 has better receivers.

The final issue on the A21s is that it cannot conduct "tap and pay", or any form of cardless payments, money or otherwise. After further investigation, the settings for "NFC and contactless payments" just don't exist. This got me in a predicament at the supermarket the other day, and I was fluffing around at the counter, just for a chocolate bar. I really wasn't asking much, just a method of payment. Don't do this to us Samsung.

Worst phone. worst warranty don't buy from Samsung – I bought two phones for my kids, excited for an upgrade. Unfortunately, neither phone lived up to expectations, one became painfully slow, taking forever to load apps and lagging badly during games. Worse, the other phone suddenly stopped working altogether. We took the dead phone back to Officeworks, where they sent it to Samsung for repair.… Read more

After weeks of waiting, they came back with the claim of "internal damage", offering no explanation or warranty coverage. Frustrated, I reached out to Samsung on Facebook, hoping for clarification or assistance, but received the same dismissive response.

This entire experience has been incredibly disappointing. The phones themselves were unreliable, and Samsung's warranty process was slow, unhelpful, and ultimately pointless, I expected much better. I wouldn't recommend these phones or Samsung's warranty service to anyone.

Awful phone...SLOW!! – This phone is terrible. There is a 5-10 second lag/delay on this phone. Even typing this now it is leggy and glitchy. It freezes up tp the point that I have to tap the phone on my hand for it to unfreeze.. I cant make phone calls the majority of the time. Avoid at all costs!!!

Worst phone I've owned. I'd rate a zero if possible, and I'm not alone – I upgraded (apparently) from a Samsung J5 that was 3 years old and have regretted it ever since. BTW my Dad is loving my old J5. I miss the physical button at bottom centre. To screen shot you need the dexterity of a praying mantis, and this phone doesn't have NFC in Australia. What modern phone doesn't provide contacless payments? This one! The battery is great, but that's it. I'm selling and going back to an old J5. Show details

to Samsung at a location 30 min drive from my place because the problems never stopped. This morning when I called, they asked me to drop the mobile for the fourth time as they have to assess the problem. Not sure what they assessed for three times prior !! I have not had a mobile for the past one month due to this stupidity. I have asked them to return my money or give me a new mobile as I am still under warranty....Answer I got was, they have to assess the problem before they make the decision...bloody 4th time!!!! If you need a showpiece which does not do anything, this is the one for you !!! Bloody CRAP

Very Disappointing – I recently purchased a Samsung A21s and it is the worst phone I have ever purchased. Whilst it performs the main functions ok, it can be slow to get the full screen appearing, there is no NFC access ( for Google Pay, etc), the icon colours are not as bright as they should be and there no emoji search facility available. There are probably other glitches that I have yet to come across. I would have expected better from Samsung. Show details

Can You Believe It ? NO NFC – phone quite good, phone volume not so good, Used mainly messaging, camera good, used Google Pay on previous A 8, would naturally presume NFC on newer phone, otherwise happy, took me quite some time as to why I couldn’t access Google Pay. But no NFC no Google Pay unable to produce evidence of COVID Jabs, is very frustrating, we are told your Smart… Read more

a20 better than a21 – this screen is just dreadful and had I studied the specs before my purchase, I would not have brought this. So annoyed no nfc though all info says nfc available?! – Thought I was upgrading to a 'smarter' phone. What a joke, would have saved money staying with my old phone as no improvement with a21s. Two reasons im Disappointed – 1. The camera is slow. Press the shutter and it can take more than 10 seconds to actually take the photo. Tried resetting settings etc but no fix. 2. No NFC – No NFC on this phone. Without a doubt THE most overt example of built in obscelecence in a mobile handset in recent years. Defies logic why this increasingly ubiquitous option was not included as this feature is not the preserve of high end models. Assuming whoever decided this no longer works for Samsung?

No NFC! – This phone had everything that I wanted, but found out too late that it didn't have NFC. Why in the age of contactless payment would you even make a phone if it doesn't have NFC - I honestly thought this was stock standard on all phones considering the 4 year old lost phone that this replaced had it, the old (3 years old) Samsung borrowed while I got organised had it. Really disappointed. On the plus it has a headphone jack. Show details

Big phone, big promises, small delivery – Bought the phone to replace a Xaomi Mi Mix 3 as I broken the screen. I just wanted a phone with a decent sized screen, middling processor, ok camera and decent battery life. auto takes about 5 times longer to load. The camera is mediocre. Phone should be at least $100 cheaper to reflect how good it really is. Last time i purchase an over priced Samsung phone, my S7 was the last decent samsung without a silly curved glass screen. Speaking of dropped this phone from about 400mm and it shattered half the screen, it's weak as on this phone.

Bluetooth issues fixed – I received the phone for Christmas - came from JBHI-FI. All was well until later that day when the phone auto updated the firmware. This resulted in the Bluetooth refusing to auto connect in my car. It worked fine the first few times. So every time you started the car or walked away, you had to manually connect. I finally sorted the issue -… Read more

deleted the phone from the car & car from the phone. Then re-connect by using the phone answer button on the steering wheel -> follow the prompts. This worked. (The car manual says to use the Menu and screen interface - doesn't work properly?) So, with that, I'm now very happy with the phone. Hope this helps.

Great phone for price point – Great specs for price point. Apps run smooth. Videos load quick & look great. Great for work and emails. Love crisp, easy to read display. the pictures don't come out as good.. but I took some of a creek where the lighting was a little shaded and they look like they were taken by a pro. Didn't expect that from such a cheap phone.

I have seen this model was missing some tech that was advertised and needed by people.. I don't use my phone for payments so that hasn't bothered me. I saw one comment of a person with diabetes who relies on this. For those who have had this issue.. I would check who advertised the phone as such.. make contact with them about replacement or refund. If they aren't happy to do this, contact fair trading.
