Good little phone – My samsung galaxy ace plus is a good phone. I have no internet so use it for calls, sms and mms only. No problem with it. Still has original battery . Camera only fair but no complaints. I am happy with it. Show details · 1
Piece of garbage – Got this phone for a work phone, it is without doubt the most useless piece of junk I've ever had. As previous reviews sometimes when trying to make a call it can take up to 90 mins to start dialling, sometimes not at all. Have to take the battery out at least 10 times a day to reset it to make it work. I know its a cheap phone but one would thing… Read more
it would be able to do the most basic task as making a call!!! And you can forget about using it to access the internet, it is so slow I just give up. This will turn me off buying any Samsung phone in future I will stick to Apple Iphone.
Have the same problem – Got my Galaxy Ace Plus from Telstra thinking I was getting a phone that would work on the Bluetooth interface with my car. At the time I specifically mentioned I wanted a phone that would operate with my "Hands free" system in the car. Yes It sort of operates - It will receive phone calls but you cannot use your phonebook to dial out or any… Read more
features from the phone as they do not work with the cars phone system. Telstra shop at Knox just shrug their shoulders and say its the car manufactures fault. Have tried various other phones and they all work perfectly when connected through the cars "Bluetooth" system. The phone is a piece of junk sold under the pretext it will meet the average persons requirements - WRONG! It is a phone for your 10 year old so that they can phone home, not a phone for the average user. I would have thought that Telstra staff would take the time to advise and KNOW what each phone is capable of doing in their shop not just make a sale. So here I am with a phone I bought that does not do what I want and is incapable of being upgraded. DON"T buy this phone unless you want one that had a terrible screen is overloaded with Telstra junk App's and is hard to swipe to answer and use.
Don't buy this bit of junk – I purchased this phone as I was looking for something a bit smaller than my Galaxy S2, 11 months ago from the Telstra shop without doing research first; I thought as it was a Samsung smart phone it would be good. Wrong! If you want to use it as a smart phone, be prepared to wait. To call someone, I can wait up to 30 seconds for it to begin… Read more
dialling. I have to uninstall updates for the heaps of Samsung and Google apps on it (which you cannot delete), just to free up some memory for the things I do use. I can't update most of my apps due to insufficient space.
If I use it on wifi, then turn the wifi off and try to use the 3G, I have to reboot the phone to access email or Facebook. Some days I just simply have to reboot it for no reason at all, just to get it to work. Writing an SMS or using the keyboard function can be challenging, as some days it just refuses to activate the keyboard.
totally useless phone, which is about to be flung at the wall.
Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus T – I purchased this phone from Telstra on the advice it could be paired with the 2014 Mazda 3. unfortunately the Mazda dealer and Mazda Australia advised as it was a Telstra phone the software could not be updated by their computer .I had to buy a g4 Samsung smart phone not from Telstra. If it wasn't a Telstra phone it would have been compatible.
Avoid now – This phone could only be described as 'ok' for the most basic user but is now too obsolete to consider unless you have it as a cheap backup. Probably the most immediately apparent flaw is the woefully poor screen resolution that makes icons look very clumsy and poorly defined. It is quite under-powered processor wise. I am not someone who cares to… Read more
spend a fortune on phones but I upgraded to the Galaxy Ace 3 which was a breath of fresh air and made it very apparent just how outdated and low spec this phone was. Compact, cheap now Poor resolution, slow
Does the Job – I have had this phone for over a year now and I have been satisfied with it. It is easy to use (any young or tech savvy person should not have a problem). The display even though not the best quality is sufficient, as is the camera, recharging takes a long time also. Overall This is a good entry level smart phone! Memory expandable to 32 GB, 5mp… Read more
camera, inexpensive. Battery meter is inaccurate (appears to have over 50% plug it in and has under 30, takes long time to charge.
OK for the price – Have upgraded (?) from a 7 year old LG phone. The reception strength although given the Blue Tick is not as good as I expected. The older phone shows two bars compared with no signal on the new Samsung. When scheduling in a reminder the phone will only alert you with one short tone. I sent an email to Samsung asking if the tone could be be… Read more
extended until I stop it. (old non smart phone had this facility). They replied there is no way the reminder tone can be extended. So unless you have sensitive hearing (that leaves me out) or you carry the phone on you full time (which I don't) you will miss the scheduled reminder. May as well use a calender on the wallor reminders for all the good of the phone reminder. The quick quide provided with the phone is very inadequate and the online manual is only marginally better.
The price was reasonable. The battery life is OK although I would expect that with a new battery. This is my first smart (?) phone so there will be a high learning curve (with a poor online manual) I would recommend the phone due to its low price The price Country reception only average. Reminder schedule alert tone is not long enough
Great little phone – Works well and has a great battery life. Its not too big like other phones and fits into my pocket easily. Relatively easy to get accesories. It does everything i need it to and has plenty of apps available for free. The phone is quite robust and, although i have a rubber cover, I have dropped it numerous times without any damage Small size, micro-sim up to 32Gb is great, fast enough not very sensitive screen but this may be my screen protector.
Phone is Ok but user manual is poor – Not a bad mobile; however, the manual that comes with it tells you absolutely nothing. The online manual available for download, whilst a little more help, still doesn't tell you a lot. The only way to find out how to add, delete, go online, etc is via trial and error. That is pretty poor, not everyone is tech savvy - not for the older folk.… Read more
Fortunately, whilst one of the older folk, I'm pretty tech savvy and I can work out most tech items, but why should I have to? Based on the lack of a useable manual, I'd have to give the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus a very poor rating.. Touch screen, useability once familiar, User manual is abysmal, dificult for the older folk to use, initially difficult to work out how to use.
Not Impressed – "Upgraded" from a Sony Experia X10 as the X10 wasn't 3G compatible. So the Galaxy Ace does everything I want on 3G but the smaller screen and clarity of graphics are a pain. The pixel quality is TERRIBLE on this phone and I expected much more from a new, modern phone. DH's Motorola is MUCH better (although smaller) and came with heaps more… Read more
pre-loaded apps. Also, couldn't access my backup on Google or Bluetooth my X10 so had to transfer my data via the SIM. But hey, this is a $200 phone and you get what you pay for. Don't think I'll be keeping it for long. Quick Terrible screen quality
