Battery life was excellent for around the first year, then dropped dramatically. It went from charging every few days to daily, and more recently it can drop from ~15% to 0% in around 10 minutes, including dying overnight. The support process has been frustrating and circular. I sent the ring to Samsung Chermside for assessment and it was returned as “no fault found”, despite the battery behaviour. I was then advised to use the Samsung Members app if the problem continued. Members support took a long time to respond, and after further log analysis they advised it was suspected to be a hardware defect, but then directed me back to another service assessment again.

There also doesn’t appear to be a simple online booking pathway for Galaxy Ring service in Australia, which adds to the difficulty.

Overall: great when it worked, but the battery degradation and warranty/support experience has been very disappointing.

Purchased in at Samsung Physical store for $699.

Samsung has now closed the case and returning the device despite a formal ACL dispute. I have escalated the matter to the Office of Fair Trading Queensland.

Ring was fantastic for a year, then battery life dropped from lasting 5 days to 24 hours... it was send off to samsung and it was assessed as showing signs of physical damage. It has what i would consider to be normal wear. Because It has a few scratches, it was deemed as my fault for the battery failing and was charged $330. Disappointing because the ring is a good product.

Purchased in at Samsung Online store for $600.

Wore the ring for one year and the battery life went from the claimed 7+ days to 2. Took to Samsung and they said all was good. Avoid Samsung products.

Purchased in at Samsung for $600.

I received my Sansung Galaxy Ring's on 23rd October 2024. It worked great, did exactly what was promised. In June of 2025 the battery started rapidly discharging to the point I couldn't even get a night's use. Samsung replaced it for a service charge of AU $180 , because (they said) it wasn't covered under warranty because of "damage". They sent photos and circled the "damaged" bits, but I couldn't tell any difference. I received my new ring in July of 2025 and yesterday (2 November 2025) my battery was at 89% when I woke up. I'd charged it and put it on around 5 pm the afternoon before, so al okay so far. By that evening, it was flat. I put it back on charge and then put it back on at bedtime, around 1045pm. When I checked on it after waking, around 535am, it was flat again. I'm not spending money on getting it fixed again, I'll chalk it up to a bad experience and a bad product. I also have a Galaxy Watch 4 which has held up just fine. I do not recommend wasting money on the Ring.

Follow-up  · I did not bother having the Ring replaced again. They informed me my Ring was "damaged" the first time and wouldn't be covered under warranty. They sent me pictures with the "damage" circled but I couldn't see anything. The repair cost $180.00. For around 3 months of use, I was not prepared to go that route again. I did not notice any damage personally, only the normal small scratch marks one gets on a ring when worn all the time. I did start removing the Ring when showering on the replacement. Samsung service never explained what the "damage"was, they just sent me pictures with areas circled. As I mentioned earlier, I couldn't tell what the damage was. I now only have the Samsung Galaxy Watch (4) as my information source.
