Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

So far so good – S10 series were almost sold out and many S20 series were available at JB's and Goodguys towards the end of 2020. I was deciding between S10 series or wait until S21 series are released. S10 5G was $899 on Boxing day at JB Hi-fi. I paid $399 with the Telstra 12 month $65 plan. I have upgraded from S3 to S5 to J5 to S10 5G. For the less defect wise, I think S10 series are the current best choice of Samsung's S series. Show details
Beast phone – The time I'm writing this review is when S20 ultra 5g is already in the market. I'm a person who is always upgrading his devices time to time. To give you an idea I've had Samsung galaxy s7,s8, Note 8, s9 plus, and now s10 5G. For the first time in these many years have i given a thought of NOT upgrading simply because i do not need it. There's… Read more
nothing very intriguing about s20 ultra 5g which will make be buy that phone except for the fact that only specs which do not match my phone is the Camera upgrade. But, tbh i do not need such a massive camera setup which doesn't hold too much potential. Samsung needs to work it put a little bit more and obviously add some features which are totally missing in my phone . Overall i love this phone and feel like it is still a beast in market.
Good phone with not so good low light selfie camera – The look is so premium. However, the selfie camera is no good at taking photos in low light. The photos have a lot of noise and not worth posting on social media. Consider researching other phones if you're going to buy s10 5G for its camera. Show details
Great phone with great speeds – I was given this phone after trailing it for 6 weeks and it's great. I've gotten over 500mbs download speeds continuously. The images are great and smooth processer. I do think the amount of cameras on it is overkill and the price a bit steep. But I was gifted it so I'm happy. Show details · 1
Love it – Have always had iPhones...as I wasn't happy with the latest iPhone I decided to get the samsung galaxy s10 5g from Telstra on a plan, so impressed with this phone I don't think I will go back to apple...highly reccomend the S10 5g... Show details · 2
Awesome phone but the 5G in Au – Great phone, is larger than the regular S10 of other variants and come with 5G. Bright screen that runs smoothly. Only problem is that 5G is not widely available in Au at the moment. Show details
!!! Beaware, Samsung S10 phones have issue with bluetooth – hi everyone, i just purchased S10 5g and it has a major issue with bluetooth connectivity. It won't connect to my car bluetooth as a media device, it only connect as a phone to make phone call, and i can't play music. I have contacted Samsung about this issue and what they basically said " it is a well know issue to samsung and they are… Read more
"working on it", but they also asked me to buy a new Headunit for my car Lmao. they actually want me to spend $2000 so i can connect their phone with my car, which already has bluetooth connectivity and works well with every other phone. Samsung also contacted me here at Productreview.com.au about the issue and basically wasted my whole day telling me same thing what i had already heard on phone. so no help from samsung. so be aware and if playing music from your phone is a big deal for you then wait till they fix this issue.

Great phone but heavy – NOTE: This is S10 5G Review - for some reason the settings won't stick. I find this phone does everything I want; it takes great photo's, has enough storage, and has a fast enough processor to keep things ticking along. The battery life is amazing too - I have forgotten to charge it and managed to get through 48hrs including playing… Read more
music/youtubes while I walk (screen off mostly).
The downsides are that it is heavy - enough to make one handed operation awkward to impossible. There is a lack of cases generally in AU (I ordered a Spigen from USA), firmware updates seem to lag the more popular S10, and 5G is a bit mythical. I've not seen any 'speedtest' run on my phone that was "wow" yet - certainly nothing good 4G couldn't provide. Not a fault of the phone, just the lack of network - it will change in time. Oh, and there's no heart rate hardware on the 5G - or at least the software doesn't expose it. In hindsight, I would probably have been better off sticking with the S10+
So good phone, but unless you really crave the extra camera's (I still have yet to see an advantage over my wife's regular S10), you might be better with the S10+
better than the note 5 – to start off with I thought to have 3 cameras were not going to be anything special but oh my gosh do my photos come out amazing and clear. even the front camera is amazing and with the use of an otterbox case I haven't had to worry about the durability of my phone so I suggest a case the first day of buying the phone the brightness can be… Read more
controlled so at night it automatical dims and in sunlight, it goes brighter. I use my phone for everything from emails to video calls and tik tok videos. the speed of the 5g phone is amazing too when everything loads quickly and smoothly. if you have had a Samsung before you know how good they are and a lot of apple users are converting to Samsung. 10/10
