This review has been left as part of a promotion by Samsung. S23 held up over 2 years albeit with some bugs and performance issues on One UI 8 such as laggy Samsung Keyboard when on battery. Wish it had better on the spot support + 512GB option. Show reply
Love the Samsung S series phones however I'm finding this is operating at times with a high battery temperature. Not experiencing any service issues with the phone, at least yet, but am concerned for it's long term operation given the battery temperature gets quite warm. Show reply
The phone is great and it is great condition. The camera is amazing so much better than my old phone. Happy with time it took to deliever and the price was great too. The communication at first was different from normal purchases, no email or invoice. Had to go into Phonebot download or check progress until it was being shipped. Maybe the initial email should explain the communication process. Otherwise very happy and pleased with purchase. Show details · 1
Following contact from [Name Removed] at samsung my matter still hasn't been resolved. With samsung refusing to accept paperwork from telstra. Samsung products are inferior then they make excuses so they don't have fix the problem. Kim Show details
In feb 23 I attended telestra in city to purchase samsung s23. Phone was ordered by staff member and picked up in store. At the time i was provided with order paperwork only. Phone was used by myself then given to my 92 yr old mother (due to g3 network shut down). Due to mothers aged Phone was only used occasionally. Back of mobile phone fell off… Read more
due to swollen battery and Phone no longer functioning. Poor workmanship by samsung. Samsung provided Phone but would not accept order paperwork or electronic proof of warranty with imei number as proof of purchase. Samsung products not worth the money. Telestra and samsung need to improve after sales service. Attend stores in the morning and have to take your tea!

A great initiative and a great phone – I received my order very quickly after my payment. Being my first time buying a reconditioned phone I was a bit worried. When the phone arrived it was like brand new. I have had no problems with the phone and the battery lasts all day.i think it's a great initiative, recycling phones. Show reply
Goodo – Great condition, and as described. Worked really well from start up, no issues and immediately synced with my old phone. Still going well after about 2 weeks. Included a charger and phone case which was unexpected. Show reply
Great phone – I upgraded from my J5 Pro to an S23 base model last March. It was a big leap from the J5 Pro. I've been really impressed with it, no problems with it at all. I was looking at an iPhone before I upgraded, seriously thought about switching but decided to stick with Samsung. Yep, it's a top phone and being the same size as my old J5 Pro it's perfect for using with one hand. I'm not a fan of huge phones. Show details · 3
Easy to use, up a running within a few hours – I purchased this after my S10e died on me. I went with Samsung again because I was used to it and I needed one quickly for work. Pros: - it operates many apps fast and reliably, important for those who work. - camera has quick 0.6, 1 and 3 zoom options which is perfect for any situations (I have kids). The video is also great with image… Read more · 1
stabilisation. - screen is very clear and pleasant to watch Netflix - exterior very classy and elegant, but feels like it might break the glass if you drop it (best to get case) - I like the size of this phone, not to big for my hands and pocket, and not to small for me viewing eyes
Cons: - comes with useless apps that you can uninstall (not a big deal for me, but maybe for some) - doesn't come with a case, you'll have to buy one - when the screen protector is on, the fingerprint sensitivity must be turned up (sometimes it's not sensitive enough and this can get annoying so I've turned mine completely off, not a biggie for me)
Overall, I'm really happy with this phone. No complaints, it works really well and has been very reliable!
Compact and very useable – Upgraded from an S10 after cracking the screen. Found it to be a little heavier and bigger than the S10 but it is certainly compact and very easy to use with one hand (when/if required). I think the build quality is great, it performs really well and has excellent camera capabilities. What I don’t like is the way to turn it off and you don’t get a charger with it. Other than that, a pretty good phone. Show details · 1
Good, but JBhifi are a bit iffy – I bought the S23 at JBhifi, and they sought my opinion. I submitted but they were too scared to write. This is what I wrote; Good but overpriced. Good product but overpriced. Sadly, the Australian market is dominated by oligopolies. So, with limited market supply options, customers are faced with an array of product from the same few… Read more · 1
companies. Without effective competition, these companies can overblow pricing. And, for Australian customers, we have to pay significantly higher prices. And, the S23 is an example. The S22 is similar, but for a few uncostly features. The S22 can be bought for less than A$500 (in 3rd world countries). So, Samsung charge Australians A$900+ for the S22. To my mind, the S23 should sell for around A$700 (not double that).
Do not buy anything from Samsung Australia. Customer care do not exist. They take away money and don't provide item – 16/04/23. Ordered the phone via Samsung website, and paid the full price using credit card / Paypal. 21/04/23. Received the phone via Austpost. Found a dent on the box. I didn’t want to open the box as I was worried there could be something wrong with the phone. 22/04/23. Took the phone to a physical Samsung store in Garden City (Westfield Mt… Read more
Gravatt). Spoke to staff, and they told me they can’t help me as I ordered it via the Samsung website. They asked me to call Samsung to send the phone back for replacement. The same night I called Samsung and the person raised a return label to send back the phone. 24/04/23. I posted the phone at Austpost 26/04/23. Austpost sent me an email confirmation that they have delivered the phone to Samsung. 5/5/23. Contacted Samsung via online chat to check the status, if they have received the phone, etc. The person said it will take 30 days. I asked when does the “30 days” countdown start from? Then the person said “30 days will start on the date that the warehouse received the device”. I said when will the “Warehouse” going to confirm the receipt of the phone, after 1 month or 1 year? The person said, “Information of the warehouse doesn’t show up on our end”… 19/5/23. Contacted Samsung via online chat. The person said wait for the update within 2 to 10 business days. 22/5/23. Samsung raised another “Return label” and sent me an email to send the phone back. (At this point I was very afraid, frustrated and upset that Samsung may have lost the phone that was delivered back and I couldn’t understand why Samsung sent me this email, when the phone was actually receipted by Samsung back in 26/04/23). 23/5/23. Contacted Samsung via online chat. The person said disregard the latest email regarding return of the phone, and wait for an update. 26/05/23. Contacted Samsung via online chat. Asked for an update. The person said the same thing again. Warehouse hasn’t confirmed the receipt of the phone. I mentioned about their terms and condition mentioned in the below link. And the rep said it usually takes max 10 business days for warehouse to confirm the returned item. It has been 30 days, and I still have not received an update. I asked what will Samsung do if they have lost the returned phone or someone in the organization stole it? They rep couldn’t give me an answer. It seems like they will never give me a refund. They will just keep blaming their warehouse not confirming the receipt of the returned phone and they have escalated the matter to the "Back Office". I have had enough dealing with Samsung. Every time their answer is the same. Warehouse needs to confirm and they have escalated the matter to the "Back Office".. I feel like Samsung will never resolve this issue, and I will never get refund form them.

Samsung story aside, I also have an issue with Asurion, who takes care of the order with trade-in phones. As Asurion don’t talk with Samsung, despite I told Asurion the full story they wouldn’t care, they took $31 from my credit card on 6th May 2023 as I couldn't send my old phone. How can I send my old phone, when I don't have a new phone?
No customers need to wait for an update for such a long time. A company can't continue say to the customers they have escalated the issue, and warehouse needs to confirm.. (This is like saying, we got your money. We are not going to help you - go away). Can't you think and act better ways to solve the your own issue?
I just want to warn people, do not buy any Samsung products as their customer service do not exist. If there was anything wrong with the products you purchased, whether that happened during delivery, after delivery, during a warranty period, etc... read the review here for Samsung store.. There are lots of reviews similar to mine.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Review: A Powerful Smartphone with Impressive Features – The Samsung Galaxy S23 is a powerful and feature-packed smartphone that was released in February 2023. As someone who has used the phone for some time, I can attest to its impressive workmanship and trendy design. The phone's build quality is top-notch, and it looks sleek and modern. It's a phone that you'll be proud to show off to your friends… Read more · 1
and family.
In addition to its great design, the Samsung Galaxy S23 delivers competent performance that can handle even the most demanding tasks. Its processor is fast and responsive, and it can easily multitask between apps without any lag or stuttering. This makes it a great choice for anyone who uses their phone for work or play.
One of the standout features of the Samsung Galaxy S23 is its excellent camera system. The phone boasts a triple-lens rear camera setup that produces stunning images and videos. The main camera is a 64-megapixel sensor that captures clear and sharp photos even in low light. The ultrawide lens is perfect for capturing expansive landscapes, while the telephoto lens allows for up-close and personal shots. With the Galaxy S23, you can take professional-quality photos without the need for a dedicated camera.
Another area where the Samsung Galaxy S23 excels is its long battery life. The phone has a large battery that can easily last all day, even with heavy usage. This is a great feature for people who are constantly on the go and need a phone that can keep up with their busy lifestyle.
However, there are a few downsides to the Samsung Galaxy S23 that are worth mentioning. One of the main issues is the amount of unwanted, pre-installed apps that come with the phone. These apps can take up valuable storage space and be annoying to deal with. Thankfully, most of these apps can be uninstalled or disabled, but it's still an annoyance that should be addressed.
Another downside is that the fast charging technology on the Samsung Galaxy S23 still lags behind the competition. While the phone charges relatively quickly, it's not as fast as some of the other phones on the market. This is a minor issue, but it may be a concern for people who need to charge their phone quickly and don't have a lot of time to spare.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S23 is a great smartphone that offers a range of impressive features. Its excellent camera system, long battery life, and competent performance make it a top choice for anyone in the market for a new phone. While it does have a few minor flaws, such as the unwanted pre-installed apps and slower fast charging, these issues are easily outweighed by the phone's many strengths. If you're in the market for a new smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S23 is definitely worth considering.
