  Fair Incentive Galaxy S24 Ultra

This review has been left as part of a promotion by Samsung. After using the S24 Ultra as my daily driver for the last year and a half, I can honestly say it's the most reliable and impressive phone I've ever owned. It has held up incredibly well, and the flat display with its anti-reflective coating is a feature I appreciate every single day—it… Read more ·  1

still looks amazing, even in bright sunlight. Even after all this time, the battery life is still a beast, easily getting me through the most demanding days with power to spare. The performance remains as fast and smooth as the day I unboxed it, and having the S Pen always ready for notes or quick photo edits is a productivity hack I truly can't live without.

What's surprised me most is how the Galaxy AI features have gone from new tricks to indispensable tools. I use "Circle to Search" countless times a day; I honestly can't imagine going back. The camera system has also been a constant highlight, proving incredibly versatile for everything from family photos to amazing vacation shots. That 5x zoom lens, in particular, has become my absolute go-to for stunning, high-quality photos. It’s just a complete package that hasn't missed a beat, and 1.5 years in, I still have zero desire to upgrade. It’s truly that good.

Highly recommended phone, very happy so far – A really good phone overall. Great camera with clear, sharp pics. The audio and video are also crisp and clear. Battery life is much better than the S22 Ultra. The included S-Pen is super useful and neatly secured. This is a game-changer for my job where I often need to draw. I bought this during Black Friday Sales and made use of the Samsung… Read more ·  1

trade-in, which was a fantastic bargain. The price paid below is in USD. The phone came with a lot of bloatware, which were promptly uninstalled or disabled. The phone is smooth and feels slippery, so I bought a case to protect the front and back. I haven't used Google Gemini on this because it's not backwards compatible with the Google Assistant routine I set up on the old phone with Google Home, but this is more a problem with Google rather than the phone.

Good mobile phone – Satisfied with this phone. It is a bit big and awkward though. But has everything you need and a very good camera. Buy a good protective cover for it. Cost was high but it is what it is. I checked a few others out and this phone was the best. Be aware that Samsung provide the bare minimum as in cords and such Show details ·  1

Very dissapointing product – Have bought the s ultra each year since 2020. It peaked around s 21 and since has more buzz but less real improvement. I have spent over $10,000 on Samsung phones over the years. They may not care about me as a customer, but I can at least provide my feedback. Perhaps that improves phones for all later. I tried to get help from Samsung, but… Read more

Samsung was useless. Like talking to bad AI.

No one has provided the email addresses yet, so I will: a. The email address for the CEO KS Choi, is kschoi@samsung.com according to my internet search.

b. The email address for the CEO of Australia, is ???

I think Louis Kim, President of Samsung Electronics Australia and surmise LKim@samsung.com but am not sure.

A device that can handle anything – This phone is near perfect. There's a reason MKBHD gave the Galaxy S24 Ultra the prestigious 'Phone of the Year' award for 2024. I use multiple phones for work. I have daily driven flagship Android phones and iPhone Pro models for a number of years now. I can safely say that this is the most consistently high performing phone I have ever used,… Read more ·  2

and I use many of its high-end features (e.g. Dex, HDMI out, Video Editing software, screen mirroring whilst live streaming... etc.).

Photos and videos are brilliant. It has all the portrait mode, bokeh style A.I. effects common to flagship smartphones and the ability to record up to 8K videos. Night mode still yields usable photos and videos, however a small portable light with some manual in-app adjustments means that the main camera performs smoothly at night as well.

Every app I've used runs smoothly, including editing software like Lumafusion and CapCut. I've put Lumafusion through its paces, running it via Dex on my desktop monitor, and whilst there are limits to editing on the S24 Ultra compared to video editing on my Macbook Pro, it handles small to medium sized file editing and rendering in this format very well. Large files or longer videos with more assets gave me longer file loading & rendering times, and for this reason I wouldn't recommend using the device for bigger video edits.

Social media, email, gaming, word processing and content streaming is seamless and enjoyable with a large, clear, anti-reflective screen and excellent speakers. Split-screen functionality means that I can write in the notes while watching YouTube, or google imdb info without interrupting my Netflix show when I'm on the go.

I WAS able to make the device overheat by Livestreaming to Tiktok while using the camera app on Dex to monitor the rear camera, AND connecting a sound desk & microphone to a USB hub that plugs into the charging port, BUT it was able to handle this advanced setup for just short of an hour. I found by clipping a Blackshark cooling fan to the back of the phone I was able to avoid any overheating and stream like this for hours. This means the S24 Ultra also functions as my livestreaming device, the hub for my sound gear, and any of my add-on camera lenses from Moment or Neewer, while also using HDMI out functionality to monitor the visual.

Whether it's Samsung's gesture functionality, or the assignable long press of the power button (to turn on the flashlight for example), or the ability to automate routines that change the way your phone behaves at certain times or places (i.e. Automatically turn your phone to silent when it detects that you've arrived at work), the Android experience on Galaxy S24 Ultra is smooth, and as advanced & nuanced as you want it to be. This phone can be incredible at all the things you'd want a phone to do in today's world, and can act more like a laptop or suite of other devices if required.

I couldn't recommend this highly enough. Money well spent, and a very happy customer.

Pretty great phone – Incredible camera, especially macro, and telephoto. The night camera is good, but not the best I've ever seen. Extremely responsive phone, but best to keep it in battery saver mode any time it is not plugged in as it does go through power fairly quickly. Pretty great gaming phone, though best to game while plugged in. Show details ·  1

SAMSUNG S24 ULTRA – I have own Samsung phone over the years and the Samsung S24 Ultra is proven why I stuck with the brand and the quality hasn't let me down with perfect screen display and the phone fits snuggly in the palm of your hand. There are so many great features to list, but believe me, you won't be disappointed in the Samsung S24 Ultra and worth paying the dollar tag for a great phone . Show 2 replies

The best phone of 2024 – Another top phone that leaves the iphone in the dust. Great build quality. Great feature set. Amazing cameras. Decent mobile coverage with very powerful modems. Nice and bright. S pen is very useful. So many advanced features that we won't see on competitors for a few years. This is the best phone of 2024 I feel and I do have an iPhone too but it's just collecting dust now. Show reply

$2000 Worthless Brick with Even Worse Customer Care – Deeply disappointed and disgusted with the level of service provided by Samsung. Myself and my partner are long time Samsung customers and own multiple Samsung phones and appliances. At present we own 3 Samsung Galaxy Ultra's, 1 X Samsung A55, Samsung Galaxy s10 and also numerous appliances from them. I had purchased an S24 Ultra on release as a… Read more

gift for my wife and the phone has been giving us nothing but trouble since purchase. The battery keeps dissipating very quickly, and the call quality and audio is terrible. She has to resort to using her headphones for anyone to be able to hear her during calls. We know for a fact that the issue lies with the recent S24 ultra, since the other Samsung phones we own didn't give us any similar issues. We also naively believed that Samsung would help us since the phone is less an 8 months old, under warranty and we also purchased the Samsung care+ extension. However despite being loyal customers and never complaining about other devices, the company has refused to help in any way or accept that the phone is faulty. What's even worse is that they have not even offered us any solution or alternative and essentially their attitude has been "You're making up all these issues and tough luck". I have better things to do in my life than waste my time and effort by arguing with customer care over a faulty mobile phone and will have to accept that buying this phone was an expensive mistake. Samsung customer care attitude in this matter has been horrendous, and ensured that this will be the last Samsung product I will ever purchase going forward. Google/Apple will be getting my money going forward since their customer care is far superior. I've also narrated this horrendous experience to my friends/family and warned them on purchasing any Samsung devices and instead consider Google or Apple.

No Customer Care at Samsung – I would advise against buying a Samsung product due to the lack of customer care. I bought the latest and greatest phone outright, bought a case and protective cover and took out insurance. Unfortunately after 2 month the phone died. It had to be sent away and then I was told after 48hrs that it was the motherboard. I lost 2 months of work. This… Read more

is not covered by the insurance. I then was told if I wanted my money back I wouldn't get reimbursed for the Samsung protective cover and case and Samsung Care Plus package so I would be out of pocket another $500. To buy a top of the line phone and the most expensive phone on the market which I need for work and to be treated so poorly is disgraceful. There is no system in place for co-ordinating a new phone when it is their fault. They also said I have to go and arrange with the Samsung Care Plus insurer to swap the insurance over to the new phone when it arrives. The whole process is poor. I have had Samsung phones for 15 years but this will be my last.

Perfect work and personal use – Perfect phone for work and personal use. It had seamless functionality that makes my life easy. The speed of hot spotting is great and the clarity of phone calls are good. It also takes wonderful photos with the assistance of AI to make a bad photo into a professional looking one. Show details ·  1

Bloatware and gimmickry at expense of good basic phone attributes – Great looking phone, fabulous looking images from 200GB camera but very poor in all other respects. customer rather than obviously problematic phone. I've done my research and the phone is a lemon. Have reverted to my previous s22 and things are much better. Although a new battery will probably improve things. No doubt that will prove monstrously difficult. It's a shame we are locked into this technological prison with deceitful and duplicitous corporations in such powerful positions. How I would love to be writing a glowing review of this attractive looking device but unfortunately I am unable to and that is a function of the gross attitude of corporate ineptitude and hubris which insists on pushing out these machines and updates so regularly but without appropriate care in design and execution. Very poor indeed.

Buy the S23 Ultra – I would love to give this phone 5 stars, and it would be, if not for the terrible camera and faulty display. The phone itself is brilliant, as is battery, performance and software. But... The camera is a major step down from other equivalently priced phones, and is terribly inconsistent. Frankly, it's pathetic and the way Samsung has handled this… Read more

Also, this dim screen issue which causes blotching on the screen is clearly a defect that Samsung refuses to warrant and should never have made it onto a $2000 phone.

Buy the S23 Ultra instead.

Best phone of my life – Amazing product! The display is amazing, lightning fast, and the S Pen is so cool. Easily the best phone of my life. The ability to multitask is simply amazing for both my personal enjoyment and work time, as I am able to have multiple apps open. The display is so beautiful and can get really nice and bright. The 2,600nit peak brightness ensures I can see everything crystal clear, even when I'm out and about. Let's talk features. The AI-powered notes organization is a total game-changer. Makes keeping track of my stuff effortless. Plus, the AI spelling and grammar checker? Absolute lifesaver. Used it right here to polish things up. Bottom line? The 24+ Ultra is worth every cent.
