Samsung make phones that are not designed for everyday use such as Samsung Flip 7. These phone will see screen faults even with dust or grains in your pockets damaging the screen. Samsung then will not honour warrenty. Look on websites such as JB Hi Fi or Harvey Norman and EBay etc, selling refurbished units.. big dollars to buy and nearly guaranteed to fail you early in the peace, I mean the first 3 months... Show details

My wife purchased a Samsung Flip 7 for $1800 from JB Hi Fi in Jamisontown in January 2026. In march 2026 the screen had a white and red line across it. We took it back to JB HiFi and the manager had a look and told my wife she had damaged it. She stated she is very careful with the phone and has not knowingly caused any damage to it. The manager… Read more

stated that a technician will say otherwise and it could have been damaged by a spec of dust or sand. So this phone cannot withstand normal and reasonable daily use. The manager made my 49 year old wife who is an ICU registered nurse and emergency registered nurse and trusted member of society, feel like a child ignoring her comments, as she stated that she had not damaged it. The manager stated it will probably cost you $700 to get a new screen. This response is outrageous and unreasonable. I have spent a lot of money in this store and this is the first time they have let me down. Samsung obviously are producing inferior phones such as this flip 7 that are not built for normal daily use and can't even last 2 to 3 months with JB Hi Fi supporting the inferior product. $1800 flip 7 in the draw at home and can't be used. JB Hi Fi you have let us down by not listening or believing your customers, giving zero support. Its actually disgusting behaviour and dishonest. My wife went to the Samsung store in Blacktown NSW and was treat the same, if not worse. The Samsung Flip 7 is a poorly made phone and any potential buyers should be warned, it is likely to have the same outcome, which most likely is why there are so many refurbished ones on line.

ADDITION: I received a brand new Flip 7 and love it. The one I originally received was clearly faulty, but this replacement is great. Service from Samsung though (as outlined below) was very disappointing. My learning would be not to buy a brand new product as soon as it comes out - wait till a few people have tested it. Be careful, after two… Read more

weeks of use the bottom half of my Flip 7's screen started to flicker. Within another week the bottom half of the screen was basically black.

I took it to an authorised repairer, then heard nothing from them or Samsung. I had to call Samsung Australia, where I spoke to someone not in Australia with no authority and no ability to help me. Eventually I got a text message offering me a replacement phone, which would take 5 to 10 days to arrive. At this point I have no phone, no explanation or apology and nothing but a replacement offered for a faulty phone which I'm paying a lot of money for, even though I'm without it. I'm very disappointed as I've always bought Samsung products, but this product and experience has been terrible.

I am extremely disappointed with Samsung’s product quality and after sales service. I’ve had my phone for only four months, and it developed a pixel burn. When I took it to Samsung for repair, I was told it was “physical damage.” It does not look like physical damage at all — but even if it were, it would only highlight how poor the build quality… Read more

is.

The phone has always been handled with care. It was inside my handbag when the issue appeared, and the bag wasn’t even full, so there was no pressure on it. It was simply resting on my lap. The phone has never been dropped or mishandled in any way. I’ve never experienced anything like this with any other brand.

Samsung refused to cover the repair under warranty and insisted on charging a AUD66 assessment fee. If I don’t pay it, they won’t return my phone — essentially holding it hostage. The repair cost quoted was AUD662, which is more than a third of the price of the phone itself. For a company of this size, the lack of accountability and customer support is incredibly frustrating. I will not be buying Samsung products again.

I've had my Filp 7 for about a month now. I'm really enjoying how compact it is. It is quite different to my Galaxy Ultra S22, which I loved, but I was wanting to try something more compact. The Flip 7 is easy to use. Great camera, build quality is… Read more ·  1

excellent, display looks great, apps run smoothly; I have no real complaints. It doesn't have the pen like the S22 had, but so far, I'm not missing it too much. The screen is smaller than my old S22, but again, I'm not finding it an issue for my needs. If you're looking for a compact easy to use mobile phone, I have no issue recommending this Flip 7. But please, do your own research for your needs!

Follow-up  · Some replies to questions:- *I have not used it for gaming, that's not my thing. *The battery life has been great, I don't need to charge during the day. I just pop it on the charger at night as a matter of routine. *The phone, without a cover, is light and very smooth; I was keen to get a cover as I thought I might drop the phone as it was so smooth. With the cover, it feels much safer in my hand.

Always had the iPhone when it first came out & now switched to this phone as I found iPhone boring. Have to admit I will never go back to iPhone. This little phone is a beauty as you can do most things from the front screen when flipped closed. Fits in pocket easy & in small handbags. This phone has been a talking point & people ask me if they can look at it as it is so cute. I am now hooked & will continue to stick with this beauty. Show details ·  1

Give to caesar what belongs to caesar! The Samsung Z Flip 7 it’s a fun to have phone and for the first time I’m enjoying a product since last iPhone SE 2022. After a bit of drama with the rubber decor which dislodged by itself and Tecworks repairs’ subcontractor blamed me, Samsung customer service case manager Damian (apologies if I didn’t get the… Read more ·  2

name right) offered to replace it for free. Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity and find a better repairs’ contractor for your reputation sake:) “Tout est bien qui finit bien”

This phone has good battery life, excellent screen resolution, easy to handle fits well in your pocket and has good speed. A good improvement on the older models, i am very impressed with this one compared to the old one. Show reply
