Galaxy Z Fold 6 Screen Failure: Samsung Denies "Full Warranty" Over General Wear and Tear. Avoid the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. The screen near the fold developed internal bleeding lines within the warranty period with absolutely zero major impacts or screen cracks. When I took it to an authorized service centre, their case managers refused to honor the warranty, falsely claiming the device suffered "physical damage." However, the official Service Request report they handed me explicitly checked the box for "Full Warranty" and legally classified the minor exterior marks on the hinge under Remarks as "general wear and tear". Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL), general wear and tear cannot be used to void your consumer guarantees, nor does it magically cause an internal LCD failure while the glass remains completely perfect. To make matters worse, they claimed a "thorough technical assessment" was done by their team, but the phone never even left the store room of the collection point. It sat there the entire time. While I was at the store picking it up unrepaired, another customer was standing right next to me with the exact same Z Fold 6 display failure near the hinge. This is a clear manufacturing defect that Samsung Australia is systematically trying to dodge by blaming customers for normal everyday use. I am lodging a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs Victoria and taking this straight to VCAT. Save your money and avoid Samsung's folding phones until they learn to respect Australian consumer laws.

Actually I have the z fold 7, but it's not listed. I have only had it 3 months and the screen started turning black. I sent it in and I was told that it's not covered under warranty because of case damage. Yes the outside case where the phone folds into it's self has a scratch. I have had a protective case on it since I purchased it at an AT and T store. They installed it and it's never been off. This is the second Z fold that has had the screen started turning black. For phones that cost 1800.00 dollars and now I am told that they need 600.00 to fix the phone. When I took the phone in to an authorized Samsung warranty repair. I was told that Samsung is having issues with the screens and that they will not fix the issue. The person further stated that he would never own one because of the issue and Samsung not doing anything about it. So I cancelled the ticket and asked to have my phone sent back. I have bought Samsung for 30 years or more and for my children. With this service I am done with them and I will not buy any more for me or my family and I hope my friends and their friends stop buying their products. 1800.00 dollars might not be much for you, but I am a disabled veteran on a limited budget. THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT OR LACK OF.

Z Fold 6 - non durable, pointless warranty and no customer service from Samsung – I have been a Samsung user for many years and this will be the last time I'm afraid. I purchased a brand new Z Fold 6 on release day and the phone has been great - UNTIL this week when I unfolded the phone as per normal use and the inner screen tore down the middle of the crease. This caused a screen bleed and eventually the screen stopped working. I contacted Samsung who requested the phone be assessed at an approved repair place. Took the phone to Mobile House in Oakleigh VIC (who were not very helpful) and had the phone checked. In their wisdom, their report came back stating that the phone crease had torn but there were 2 miniscule 'puncture marks' in either side of the screen. These were shown to me and barely visible I might add. How they are determined as puncture marks is beyond me. They quoted $895 to repair?? Under warranty??? I asked for the assessment to be escalated as I think its grossly unfair to have this result - All I did was unfold as per normal use. I treat my phone carefully as I always have and have never had this happen in any generation of Fold phone (Have had them all over the years) I need my phone and cannot afford to be without it for extended periods of time - already without it 2 days this week. It is my work phone, my calendar etc. No loan phones are available and my phone does not use a physical SIM - I have no spare phone at home just laying around waiting for breakage. Finally speak to the VOC area - HOw they can call themselves Voice of Customer is a complete mystery.... Their solution - Return my phone to have it assessed again and be without it until their determination. How is this fair? I have complied with the warranty requirements in having it assessed already. I escalated to a Supervisor who again said all he can do is have the phone reassessed - No understanding that I cannot be without my phone. No other remedies or solutions. I am now faced with the dilemma of having a broken phone (which I did NOT do), no solution or help from the help area and potentially being without my phone for another period of time, especially over Christmas when everything will shut down anyways. This is NOT the sort of warranty experience I expected. Further, my other choices are to pay $895 for a new screen or take up the Samsung Care option of paying $299 for a refurbished phone. Why should I pay out of pocket for an obvious warranty issue? I am sick of large companies treating users like fools and apportioning blame to deny any claim. I understand its my word and have no way of proving, but to turn it back on me is unfair and unjust. I have lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs and Choice in order to get some traction as I keep facing brick walls - Nobody wants to help or offer a suitable solution. The product failed - Pure and simple. I didn't break it, it failed. The so called 'puncture marks' are barely visible and did not have any affect on the screen prior. They are raised and appear to be small dust fragments which have lodged under the screen protector. How I could puncture the screen from within is a mystery!! The phone itself is in Pristine condition as I always use a case to protect it. I am hugely disappointed with Samsung and this will be my last ever Samsung purchase.
