August 21st 2018 Update: Worst customer service for a faulty product

Our samsung television wifi connection crashed for the first time within a couple of months of purchase and the same issue has happened 3 times within 1 and a half years. This is definitely a faulty product which even their repairer accepted. We asked him if the product should be replaced. He did the paperwork for replacement and tried to put the onus on us saying that we want a replacement. When we questioned him he said he thinks it should be replaced but he won’t recommend it. We don’t really know where we stand now as its a SMART TV without internet. The guy neither repaired it nor recommended replacement.

A standard Samsung TV which require a lot of concerns – The TV owns enough ports, but the Samsung TV always turn on and off by itself. I bought the TV less than one year, so this kind of problem haven't happened yet. But our old one always on and off by itself. Very classic TV, need to be concern about the price.  Show details

If you Google Samsung TV crack there's many people with the same issue with these new Tv's. Next TV I buy will be either Sony or Panasonic and even though I buy Samsung phones for my household I will avoid the brand altogether. Samsung still haven't supplied the requested technician report and the report the condition TV was in when left warehouse as I am taking them through VCAT as I know 100% that there was no way I could have caused this damage. All my family and friends that see the TV are shocked that they have treated us this way and keep asking about the TV and it's progress which keeps rubbing salt into my wound as I haven't even been able to watch one thing clearly on the brand new tv. a refreshing change to the previous, cumbersome and detailed Samsung remotes, now more user friendly, intuitive and prompt in response times. Where the unit can be frustrating is the delayed refreshing time when scrolling through the TV's guide. Slow and apparently common with this series. I also noticed the horizontal bottom scroll panel on the screen only shows icons of a couple of channels recently watched rather than a wider selection of channels I've visited previously. There must be a way to restore them in the scroll panel but as yet I'm a little lost as to how. One major dilemma I had was a screen problem issue. There was quite a bit of obvious dark grey, blurry clouding all around the edges of the screen that encroached considerably into the screen's viewing area. Disappointing, although Samsung were quick to explain and organise collection for repairs to the unit - a case of replacing the relevant LED tubes. Roughly five working days later, it was returned safely and reinstalled, at no cost. In my opinion, I recommend buying an extended warranty whenever purchasing an expensive item such as this product. It can be an added level of insurance and comfort when emotions can escalate after things go wrong with a product. Bumps? Yes there were a couple of teething problems but the customer service level in accessing Samsung's remedial services was prompt and helpful, thus restoring my faith in the Samsung brand.

Big tvs are great – The tv is great it has voice control all though I don’t use it much! The controller is easy and all my apps are in one place it run multiple USB devises at a time! experience but I have found the guide for free to air TV can take some time to load compared to my previous tv's. Still, a great choice if you're looking to go 4K.
