how to setup the temperature?
The settings are inside in the fridge door right side.
Hi, I bought this fridge few years ago (can't remember year) and now tempreature dispaly is not working so unable to reset its temperature. Now what are options I have?
Had same problem in 2012. Bought new in 2011 and the display faded then stopped working. Fridge still worked as far as I know on temperatures set when display working. Samsung replaced the display after some grief by delivery company who told me that they could not come up my drive - Samsung were originally going to replace the whole fridge! They ended up replacing the display.
Display has held out to now though it is not a bright as it used to be.
Noticed displays on outdoor solar converter units (not Samsung) seem to dull too. Had one bought around the same time as fridge fade to nothing over the years. Wonder whether it may have been a display issue not isolated to Samsung fridges?
Otherwise fridge still going along okay. No other problems with it and it works as expected. Good luck with getting a fix. I expect the fridge will be problem free like ours is.
Note: we tend to set and forget temperature. Maybe just leaving the display off and using a rotating knob inside with a temperature scale would be okay. Just me, I would rather have thing simple with less to go wrong.

We’re having the same problem that it appears everyone else has had with this model... buzzing and whirling sounds from the fan, icing on the lower shelf and finally a lack of cooling of the fridge side.
I would be really interested to know if anyone has had any luck with the responses received from Samsung. They all appear to direct you to private conversations on Facebook - so I can’t tell if the issue was ever resolved.
Alternatively, if anyone knows if it is economical to repair the issue, I’d love to know.
Thank you

Does anyone know how much an hour they cost to run?
no cooling motor seems fine to me but nothing cooling in fridge any help please?
If nothing is cooling in the fridge your motor may have a build up of ice. I usually had to turn fridge off for 24 hours and start again.
I have defrosted the fridge due to the noisy fan. When I turned it back on the display panel does not seem to be working. Completely blank except for one small blue light in the shape of an l. This is closest to the fridge button. Have tried pressing all buttons and switching on and off the fridge but nothing working. Any help?
Need to know how to set the fridge/freezer temperature by display penal?
Press the fridge button to change the temp. Same for freezer. They will cycle through the numbers. Stop when you reach the temp you want. To lock the buttons so that the kids can't change the temp, hold down freezer and fridge buttons together for 3 seconds. From memory, there will be a beep perhaps? If you cant change the temp, perhaps this lock is activated. Hold both down for three seconds to unlock. The manual is available online I think.
My fridge/freezer was turned off due to an electrical disruption in the area and now the freezer is sitting on minus 23. How can I change it please
I had no problems with the freezer side, just my fridge side kept getting hot at the top and icing up at the bottom. I don't know how to help you with this problem, have you tried the up and down buttons on the freezer temp( I guess you have tried that already and you don't need someone suggesting it again)
Hey my fridge is for some reason not working, and I was wondering how the buttons work, because I can't figure it out?
Hi angie, As I said in my review I am not nor do I claim to be a fridge repairman or technician, but I do know that the only buttons that I know of are the 4 on the front of the freezer door with a blue lighted display and what they do is only control the temperature and also do a 'power freeze' and 'power cool' for the freezer and refrigerator sections so they have nothing to do with your fridge not working as far as I know, however if you mean 'it's not working' by it not getting cold enough you can change the settings by holding down the 2 right buttons simultaneously until you hear a chime tone and it will then unlock the temperature settings for you to then adjust to your liking ... hope that helps.
I haven't really every used the buttons on the front, only to try and change the temp when the fridge was playing up. To adjust the temp press the button and it goes down/up a degree.
