Today my machine overflowed and has flooded my house. The water doesn’t cut off so I have had to turn it off at the wall. Recently it would only let me wash on the Cotton cycle so I cannot use any other cycle. When I bought this machine new 5 years ago i thought I was buying a top of the line washing machine that would last me at least 10 years. Being a single mum with 3 small kids I cannot afford to just go out and replace this one nor get a fixit man to come and fix it. Does anybody know how to get it working again?
Our machine is 7 years old now and the spin cycle is always have a unbalanced error code is it worth fixing
The bowl is faulty and Samsung replaced mine out of warranty which I appreciated but only replaced it with the same faulty bowl and it ended up doing the same thing.
Purchased new around 10 years ago. Drum Self destructed after a couple of years and was repaired by Samsung without question. Balancing issue - 5 years ago failed and got that repaired….hot water master water valve corrodes and causes meltdown of pcr board during cycle. Not real certain that a Samsung will be my next choice.
Went through the same nightmare with the drum having a balancing problem. Samsung agreed to replace the drum out of warranty but they are replacing with the same faulty drum. Balancing problems happened again and Samsung refused to help. I have a washing machine sitting in laundry that I can’t use.
Why is my washing machine making horrible grinding noises?
How much should I sell it for
have above washing machine and last 6 months dirty washing have don about 20 tub cleans, cleaned filters but after Tub Clean lots of grey muck in bowl have vacumed out but get more each time I do a Tub Clean and cloths come out covered in grey fluff cant get a clean wash

Hi my machine washed good but comes off balance every time regardless of load size setting. When trying to just spin the load its off balance or starts filling again just want to spin
Hey Zoe, mine did the same thing and Samsung replaced the main bowl as it has some sought of balancing unit built in around the top of bowl. About a year later it started doing the same thing and now Samsung don’t want to know about it. End result is I’ll never buy another Samsung product again as they obviously don’t back their products and don’t care about customers. The cost or replacing the bowl isn’t worth doing.

is there a cheap, quick fix to the drainage pump problem, I am a single dad and another wash or 2 before I have to pay to fix would be nice
I’m sorry to hear about this James. You can try the steps below to see if this resolves your problem. > Check the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. > Straighten the drain hoses. Eliminate kinked hoses. If there is a drain restriction, call for service. > Close the lid and press the Start/Pause button. For your safety, your washer will not spin unless the lid is closed.
If you’re unable to resolve this issue with the steps above, would you be able to send a PM through Facebook messenger with a copy of this review so we can look further into this?

not switching on was working 2 hrs ago but not turning on at all what could it be
What could it be!? Bad design features designed to maximise repair costs. Best advice I can give is to drop it off at the local tip and purchase another brand of machine!

My machine is only about 5 years old and the spin cycle quit on me. It would get horribly out of balance so I had to pull out half of the washing before it would spin, then it would only spin a quarter load, then barely two t-shirts. At the advice of a friend who works on washing machines, we cleaned the filters and made sure none of the holes in the bowl were blocked. My husband turned it upside down to check the springs were all equal in tension. The machine now will spin a quarter load, which is an improvement, but still won't spin a full load. There did seem to be a lot of grit on the clothes afterwards which could be a build-up of previous dirty loads. Would a tub clean fix this? I've never actually run it on the tub clean cycle. P.S. I am also not impressed with how well it cleans clothes. My last machine I could adjust the wash length to soak and it would get stains out so much more effectively. The metal lid has also become extremely rusty. Apart from the fact that this machine is bigger and does a larger load, all in all I am not happy I bought this machine. In hindsight I feel the salesman at the appliance shop was very keen to get rid of this model.

Same thing happen to me and it’s about the age
I am now going through the same issues, I have not seen a good review on these machines... duds
where is the lint (coin) trap on my Samsung wa456 washer?
Samsung made some without a lint filter; ours had two lint filters opposite each other in the tub. Grey, about 20 cm x 10 cm with a mesh inlet.
Hi Juan, please refer to page 29 of your user manual to clean the filter;

How do I change the shock absorbers and how many are there?
I been having nothinh but problems with top loader WA455 10kg. Does not wash properly its doing my head has anyone else had problems with this machine
Yes, its a rubbish machine.
Have u had same problem. What so i do? Call Samsung i am stuck
Hi, I have been using samsung wa 406 for more than a year and eveytime I do the laundry, it has too much residue and dusts. Even though I do with very small amount of laundy like my newborn baby's clothes, they always end up with having residue. I always use liquid detergent, keep the filters clean and do the tub clean every two week. Where does the dusts come from anyway??? Please let me know.
good question! i honestly dont know. I wash my husbands dirty work clothes every week and only end up with residue when the filters need cleaning. I can only think that maybe u need to select the "heavy" soil option, maybe this will give you a higher water level and a better rinse. hope this helps, not sure what else to suggest.
It's because the machine only uses about 2 inches of water no matter the load size because of how it was designed as a water saving model. Pause your machine mid cycle when you have a full load on and you will see the clothes are not even fully covered by water so how can they possibly get washed and all the lint, dirt and washing detergent washed away? It can't, that's why I fought with Samsung for 2 months to finally get a refund. Posted a review recently if you want to read it.
Besides replacing the pump kit for WA456 model what are the other known issues for this model? The broken pump flooded our finished basement and now the repairman is telling me it looks like the drum is separating. :(
i did not have any issues with the structure of the machine, used it for about 2 years. it just did not clean the clothes, i expect to put 'normal' soiled clothes in a machine and have them come out clean. the machine could not even do that. I have since done a lot of research on washing machines and found that ones without the high agitator just do not do the job, i have since bought a miele front loader (first front loader and very skeptical about getting one) and could not be happier with it, i am lucky i am in a position to do this. I will try and sell the samsung as a 'second' machine for someone with dog blankets or similar, as that is all its good for. Not sure if this helps.
I had the same problem with the pump. Our repairman replaced it with a retrofit kit that Samsung made because it's a known problem. We haven't had an issue with the drum separating YET. We have found that running our machine on a Manual setting tends to work better to clean clothes. We have also had a problem with clothes shrinking because it does no mix the hot and cold as it runs into the machine. It runs either hot or cold to get the desired temperature. I have had it set for "cool" water but it will still start out with scalding hot water and then mix in the cold water. So much wrong with this machine. I will never buy a Samsung washer or dryer again.
Washer comes on, but no water will come on to fill the washer?? Help
Make sure the taps are on otherwise call the service centre.. Also try disinfecting the pier for 10 min it may reset
What is the loud and continuous clicking sound now emanating from within the machine after only 11 months use which, when it occurs, does not allow the machine to progress its wash cycle any further until the machine is switched off and a wash cycle begun once again? Pardon the language but I'm pretty darn annoyed with having spent so much money on this machine only to conclude that I've probably bought a lemon! Unless I'm supplied with a satisfactory answer I intend to take the matter a whole lot further!
Ours does this too, biggest pile of crap.
A machine with this same model number exploded last week. I run a Samsung consumer support group to help people deal with Samsung. If you are still having problems with melting rims or strange noises please let me know. Retailers are now refunding this model.
