Excellent! Still working after 8 year! – No complaints, we didn’t have any issue yet except the slight noice started last week which I think the drum bearing. It’s around $60 on eBay if really need to replace as the machine is still working with no issues. I’m extremely happy with the machine and can’t except more than this after 8 years of daily running  Show details

Someones trash now proudly my treasure (FREE Upgrade!) – Found this beauty ($700 machine 2nd hand) on nature strip amongst thrown out for hard waste council pick up just up the road (I even offered the guy $50 to take off his hands, he didn't want money said its problem machine, comes up E5 error code = pump failure, IF needed its only $30 $40 new pump online delivered) & now proudly mine & saved from… Read more

landfill.

Took it home surprised it still fired up, but upon testing cycles found water outlet pump didn't work all that well,& as stated above after 2-3 tries to go through cycles, sure enough E5 Error, will not release water.

I took out pump, just a few screws & clamps & gave it all a good flush out & wipe down inside & out, taken pump apart cleaned, flushed out impeller & blew out the pump chambers & lint filters (bottom right of machine) with water in a bucket & then my air compressor (looked like someone used it to wash small stones, large sand pebble & build up lint fragments, build up over sometime & not maintained at all by looks of it)

Upon refit & restarting for testing.. I'm in AWE! does this thing wash well?, YES! very well & efficient machine wash compared to my old Hoover Top Loader 30yrs still going,,in comparison this uses smaller amount of water & detergent, only 1 to 1.5 scoop concentrated detergent, If you use too much eg; 2 scoop will leave wash soapy. For a little bit of work (around an hour) I got a FREE upgrade, NICE!

Just to see what else it could do after a general clothes washing load, (T-shirts, socks, jocks, jeans, overalls etc & emptying that lot, I thought I'd try it on the queen bed doona, pillow cases & bed sheets to push it up a notch in test, & it thoroughly clean all bedding with ease, all up a very excellent working, quiet running, 7kg load machine, impressive powerful spin & rinse cycles, very nice water temperature control settings too, I didn't even have the manual & it's very intuitive to use, later I found manual downloadable online, had machine for around 2yrs now, trouble free use.

I cant see what other people reviews complain of these machines, must be either bad luck (re; lemon) or lack of outlet filter pump maintenance. I think its more the latter as ppl are not inclined not to look after their appliances, yet ppl go out of way to change oil in cars etc, Very simple maintenance can go a very long way to reduce future heartache & headaches. cheers

All form and no content - looks good but breaks too easily – We replaced our old machine which had given fault free service for 15 years with a Samsung front loader. Within a year the front door seal had failed. It cost $280.00 dollars to replace. Tonight in response to an E5 alert I tried to clean the debris filter. The cap came off but the filter could not be removed. In the end I tried to remove it… Read more

with a screw drive and the part broke. It is still in the machine. Also of note is that the new rubber front seal is starting to deteriorate after only being replaced 6 months. The machine is a lemon. At about the same time as buying the front loader we purchased a Samsung fridge freezer and if any fluid such as meat juices (blood) or milk leak they get stuck between the clear plastic cover and the white plastic of the body of the drawers and there is no way to separate these for cleaning. If there had been any testing done on this machine prior to mass manufacture this would have turned up which indicates that Samsung wants to look good (Form) but has little care for quality behind the facade (content). They do make good TV’s but the white ware is poor quality and the service guy said the parts are horrendously expensive.

Lasted 4 1/2 years – This model is easy to use and repair. It performed perfectly for 4 1/2 years (3 people in household). We would wash clothes, beddings, towels, curtains, even bath mats. When the bath mats were new, the lint filter would get clogged and we had to clean it. After 4 1/2 years, the front loader began to malfunction. We turned the machine upside down,… Read more

unscrewed the drain pump and googled its part number. We found the drain pump being sold for $35 on Ebay and including postage of $15, we bought the defective part. The front loader is now working perfectly.

I am thankful for the January and July 2014 reviews on this site, as these helped me diagnose the problem with our machine.

TERRIBLE – Bought in 2009 for $1100 with 5 year extended warranty that cost $200... I have never had as much problems with any other washing machine i have owned over the years of owning appliance... from the faulty door handle to the locking mechanism that locks the door to the leaking all over my floor. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE, the pump fails, the washing… Read more

powder tray grows mould and the cement leveler cracks all over my floor. I brought as a solo mum with my 4 teen aged kids expecting it to last for years and to be handed down to my daughter . instead it has failed multiple times and the repair company AKA "(Five Star Service)" located 394 Grey Street Hamilton has refused to repair as they said we miss used our washing machine and the damage is to our fault even though the problems with the machine are covered under the warranty... very very sad Mum from hamilton.

Lasted 3 years – After three years of average use ( 2 people in household ) The machine started to play up, and we are told that both the motor And pump need replacing. Really ? After only three years ? The cost of repair is prohibitive, and the technician has told me that Samsung are notoriously bad when it comes to whiteware. Out of pocket and very… Read more

disappointed. For three years it did everything it was supposed to ie: Washed stuff. Not made to last and parts expensive.

Excellent after 4 years – I am a single dad with two teenage children. I wash about 6-7 loads a week. After a month the pump failed due to washing a new bath mat. For those that don't know, this is a bad thing to do to any washer because the lint from the new mat blocks the filter and the pump runs dry. This happened to me while I was at work so the pump was ruined. … Read more

The service man explained the problem, replaced the pump under warranty but said that they would not replace it under warranty if it happened again.

The machine has run flawlessly ever since.

My advice, get a good cheap washer like this one with a five year warranty. I have had expensive washers in the past and had nothing but trouble after the one year warranty ran out. And they can be very expensive to repair, more that the purchase price of this washer. Good price, good support Does not have the option to use my own hot water

quality of plastic is bad – I have used that washing machine for 3 years and it would be good product except 2 issues that quite annoying and basically ruined it: 1) I am not sure how they designed water saving feature but unless I set full 5 cylces(maximum) of rinse clothes are not well rinsed and you can fill clothes are still "soapy" even on settings 3 and 4. I never… Read more

bothered to set 1 or 2 as it is clearly visible that machine unable to rinse well clothes unless set on maximum setting. Water savings? forget it.

2) Plastic door - broken/cracked twice in 2 years. Cracked in same place - top latch, therefore starting to fell off unless you put something underneath the door to keep it in line. Had to buy same replacement part twice ~ $65. Usage is very moderate - 1-2 times per week. It seems Samsung has used bad quality plastic, or bad design. I feel that need to purchase door every year to keep machine running. Not happy. Samsung support is hopeless - best what they have offered - advice to purchase replacement part.

These two issues lead to believe me that this product very far from top notch and normal; issues are mainly in design/quality of the product. Wouldn't buy anymore products from Samsung and wouldn't recommend anybody else. Washing itself was pretty good. build quality, rinse proccess, water saving, very bad quality of plastic that cracks after 2 years in key component.

An excellent front-loader – Coming from Europe, I've owned many front-loading machines, and this has to be one of the best. I've had this model for 3 years and it's never given me a day's trouble. It washes efficiently, even on the fast cycle, and is a good water-saver. I especially like the feature of being able to add items I've forgotten, which is rare in a front-loader. Good value for money, reliable

I was deleting emails and came in for a quick look at the site – I have come to the conclusion that people will write when a product wont work but wont say anything when it works well. A friend and i bought this machine over 4 years ago. To say i was impressed with the wash would be an understatement after having a top loader for about 22 years. White was finally white. It has a quick wash, 28 min which is… Read more ·  1

what i use . To say that it saves on water and electricity is an understatement compared to the top loader. In over 4 years i have had no issues. I do double bed blankets and donas in it as well as fragile woolen jumpers. I have never had any piling since a bought it. Used to drive me crazy no matter how expensive the clothes were. Very Quite. Cant Hear it untill it starts to spin. Very effecient. Does what its supposed to do very well. Wash

Do not honour warranty – 3 months in the machine leaked, Samsung came and replaced seal. 6 months in machine leaked, Samsung came and replaced seal. 8.5 months in machine leaked, the lovely indian Samsung tech comes out and his expert opinion is that my dog had nipped a small 10c piece size tear out of the seal,,,,dude he's a 37kilo Labrador, if he really wanted a piece… Read more

of that machine, he'd do way more damage than that. Several phone "conversations" followed resulting in Samsung refusing to honour their warranty - thank god I bought from the good guys as they credited the $900 I paid toward a new machine. Never buy anything samsung again,,,their warranty is worthless! Great apart from leaking The company that made it have absolutely no moral fibre when it comes to warranty

Lemon – We too had purchased this "lemon" machine. After 6 weeks we had the serviceman out to fix the incomplete wash cycle making it impossible to release the door lock... Looks like it was a problem that occurs with this model. We have received nothing but the run around from customer service, can't complain about the serice because there is isn't… Read more

any.... even if it is under warranty they seem to not want to know about any problems that occur after a sale. We have vowed NEVER to buy another Samsung product again. It is now 7 days and we still have washing in the machine which we are unable to remove from the machine and are still waiting for a service man to attend. Very very very poor service. Not a thing Door lock does ot release, Very very poor warranty service

Terrible – Very disappointed, particularly when my last washing machine lasted 10 years with no faults or repairs in that time at all. machine started making a huge noise in the spin cycle, almost as if a plane was taking off in our back yard - the repair man said that the drum had dropped and he had not seen anything like this in a machine under 3 years old. We are still waiting for parts to arrive and it has now been 3 weeks since it was looked at. Samsung will not confirm a date that the parts will be available and will not help us out in any other way. we have had to hire a washing machine to help us through the weeks we cant use ours and even though we took out an extended warranty on the machine and the fact that it is still in the first year manufacturer's warranty, Samsung will not assist in the rental of the other machine. Very, very poor service and communication, we will never buy samsung again.

Terrible – Only one person household with 1 load of washing a week. Bought it in March 2010. Loud banging when washing on July (4 months). Samsung refuse replacement as its more than 3 months of purchase!!! Unrealiable defective product. Poor after sale service. WILL NEVER BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCT.

Stress you out to deal with samsung and the samsung repairer when the machine break down and it break down only after around 20 washing. So unreliable.

Excellent – I have had my washer for 12 months now and use it several times a week with full loads of kids clothes etc. This washer has been absolutely brilliant from day one - the only time I can hear it running is when it hits the spin cycle (and then we joke that it sounds like Samsung Airways is ready for takeoff, but it's not particularly loud). Not… Read more

having to hook it up to the hot tap is a bonus, and it has wash cycles for everything (I set mine to a custom wash when I first got it and use that for most loads, but it is really easy to operate and set it for special laundry - even my kids can do it). I'm surprised that others have had mechanical issues - my washer has run smoothly and quietly for 12 months so far without any issues and looks like it will continue to do so for a long time yet. I use a liquid detergent (Earths Choice) with mine and it only takes one tiny capful (about 15ml) to wash a full load really clean. Quiet, efficient, compact, self-heating, gets clothes really clean with only a tiny amount of detergent.

Excellent – I think we paid $549 from narvey norman so it is definately one of the more affordable 7kg front loaders on the market, I love it, its easy to use and easy to keep clean, the filter is easily accessble and the powder compartment is detachable to tidy up any build up. Its just perfect and im 100% happy I love it!!! we had to buy a new machine after… Read more

our tiny top loader broke so we settled on this on and I think its fantastic!! It has a child lock technique so children cant turn the dial or stop/open the machine. It has heaps of washing options and the heavy duty works absolute wonders on my husbands work clothes! The first time I used it I was absolutely shocked at how different our clothes came up compared to being washed by our old machine! no cons at all

Excellent – I moved from a top loader to front loader. I was skeptical about front loaders at first due to some people say cloth don't come out clean. But nothing like that at all. I do few washes a week and small portions each time(few garments) maybe that have something to do with it. Nevertheless, I'm very pleased with the results. Plenty of pre-programmed washing options, water and energy efficient
