5 MONTHS OLD AND FELL APART – We purchase this front loading washing machine 5 months ago, it was working great until the other day when it made the worst noise possible on the spin cycle, we went through the usual warranty process and Samsung sent out their local reps to inspect it. The tech that turned up lifted of the lid and said "yeah just as i thought that's the second one this week". The concrete block that should have been attached to the drum had ripped out of its mounting plate and put a hole in the drum. After the report when to back to SAMSUNG they contacted me with an offer of a free repair, i requested a replacement for the faulty machine and the reason why or a refund as i was not happy with the product and as i also checked with the ACCC website this i believe should come under a major fault which would allow a replacement or refund to be issued but SAMSUNG refused my request and said they were not willing to do that. We have been Samsung customers for over 10 years and stayed with them because of the customer service however this has put us of ever buying a Samsung product again

Works well, but leaks and very poor experience with customer service – Its a great washer, however upon delivery would leak every cycle. Purchased from the Good Guys, the claim was escalated to Samsung. Samsung sent out a subcontractor to check it out and confirmed the drum was cracked. He speculated it would be too costly to repair. After about a week and a half, I finally had to call Samsung back for an update. I was told that there were no units available (despite the store of purchase at that point having them in stock), and my options were to refund or get store credit, and would not include delivery. Additionally, the unit's price has gone up, so effectively I'm expected to pay $175 to rectify the problem. Unfortunately as Good Guys escalated to Samsung, they cannot simply come and swap the faulty one for a new unit.
Purchased in at The Good Guys for $1,079.
Update: The replacement washing machine broke at the 2 year mark. Samsung is attempting to service, but the local partner (Priority Appliance Repairs) won't schedule a tech for another week. Samsung is unable to help me at this stage either. I do not recommend.

Update: I ended up talking to the store manager at the Good Guys, who said he would take care of it. After confirming details with Samsung, a store credit was arranged (with multiple delays from Sansung), and a replacement unit delivered and installed within days at not cost. Thank you GoodGuys for correcting this issue and making things right for me. Best of luck to anyone who has to deal with Samsung's customer service. All I can say is be persistant and follow up regularly to ensure your responses are recorded in the right system.
