Only had this mattress for two days. Initial thoughts are that as we required a bed with good back support we chose the "King Firm "which is "very firm". We have been assured that this will soften during the first few weeks and look forward to a solid nights sleep. Perhaps a medium mattress would have been a better choice. Show details · 1
A most comfortable mattress for my adjustable bed and it has maintained its original firmness. I'm very happy with my choice and feel it has helped overcome some previous problems I have had with my back. I do tend to sleep in the same position through the night. Show details · 1

So disappointed – Purchased Sealy Posturepedic Vancouver on sale from Harvey Norman March 2019 its now April 2022 it has a big lump in middle with both sides sagged, so disappointing. The 'guarantee' tag ripped off within months so can't return it according to their Sealy policy, even though I have the receipt! Bed was fine for 12 months but now very uncomfortable. Show details
Perfect for bed sharing – If you share your bed with an insomniac this mattress is perfect as there is no dip in the middle or movement when getting in or out Its just really comfortable all round. Had it for more than 5 yrs already Show details

given it a nearly a year (after spending $6,800 for this bed we cannot afford another) and now I have a chiropractor’s bill to add to the price we paid for the mattresses. There is no getting used to these sinking uncomfortable pieces of foam. There is no way to stop the aching body I wake with each morning. I’m devastated, I hope Sealy will reach out to me with a solution.

absolutely dreadful – We bought this mattress from David Jones 15 months ago. I explained that I needed a supportive but soft bed due to my hip and back problems. develops a deep hole while sleeping which makes it difficult to move around and my whole body is now out of alignment. We rotate that mattress every few weeks as recommended but still no good. I spoke with David Jones a few months after purchase and they said there's nothing we can do. Having seen this review today I'm hoping Sealy may come back with some kind of response.

Terrible mattress, soggy, limp and customer service is a joke – We went looking for a new mattress after 15 years, at a very well known store we were pointed at this Sealy Optimum mattress, on sale but still nearly $5k. Having never encountered a latex mattress before when we laid on it we felt it was weird but we were told once we got used to it there would be no better. We bought it and took it home. weeks later we complained to the store that it was terrible to sleep on, they said it takes time to get used to so we persisted. Now its a few months later and we complained to Sealy Customer support, after a few emails and photos back and forth we were told to get used to it because they could see nothing wrong and would not be helping us in any way, case closed! The problem is when you lay on the mattress you sink into a big hole, the hole is so deep that when you lay on your side your legs don't touch the mattress from the knees to your feet. You are bent up like a banana. Then when you try to roll over or move you need to climb out of this hole and try to sleep on the edge while you wait for the mattress to reform behind you... If you move to close to the edge during the night the mattress collapses under you and almost tips you out of bed!! Absolute rubbish and a complete waste of money as it is now in the spare room on the floor and we are sleeping on the trusty old inner spring mattress.
Would I but Sealy again? no way.
Update 19 Jan 2020 - The Sealy National Customer Care Manager has contacted us and has listened to our concerns. Sealy have agreed to allow us to return this Optimum mattress and select a different mattress of similar value which is fantastic news. We have been to Harvey Norman and selected the mattress we like and now its over to Sealy/Harvey Norman to arrange the exchange. Thankyou Sealy and Harvey Norman Mackay.

Posturepedic Optimum Mattress & Adjustable Base – We purchased 2 long single mattress and adjustable base. A firm mattress for my husband who is an arthritis sufferer. He is now able to get a good nights sleep. I have a medium mattress and we are both extremely happy with the beds as they a very comfortable with great support. Very happy with our new bed! – We purchased our new bed in the hope that it would assist with better comfort for my shoulders and back. So far my sleep has improved and I am waking up relaxed each morning. The massage function is handy and my wife loves being able to raise the head and feet of the bed.
