Sealy Orthocare

Would not recommend – I bought this mattress for my teenage son who found it to be to firm so I ended up swapping mine for his. After a year I ended up having to purchase a thick mattress topper because you could feel the springs. I wake up every morning feeling like I have been hit by a bus so am having to buy a new mattress after 3 years.

I hate this mattress – I prefer the 30 year old broken spring saggy in the middle double mattress I slept on before I wasted my money on this. Since buying this mattress 2 years ago I suddenly have bursitis of the hip and shoulder shock horror on the side of my body that I sleep on on this bed. Also within 12 months you can feel the springs, so I had to fork out $400 for a memory foam topper.

Love my new mattress - back to the basics like the good old days! – After spending nearly $1600 on one of these new fancy mattresses out there two years ago and still having upper back pain I found out on an overseas holiday recenlty that my back prefers a firmer mattress. I hunted around for a good old basic and came up with the Sealy Orthocare which has springs wired throughought and none of these big fancy toppers on top. There is enough padding over the springs fo you not to feel them and I love the fact that the bed was firm whilst at the same time supportive.

Even better still the full price for a Queen is only $699 but I managed to get it on sale. Is of a normal height (not huge like these ones with fancy toppers). Does not overheat my body at night. Nothing from my perspective probably just that I wish I had of bought it initially instead of wasting my money on these wizz, bang fandangle mattresses being shown to us as 'the best' these days!
