Seed Organic Pod

Brilliant - three children later and still like new – When we first purchased this we did notice a funny smell although this quickly disappeared. A durable, transportable and attractive baby basket which has served us very well over several years and three children - now used by our baby niece! Would highly recommend to any new parents - even second hand.

Fantastic! I love it! – We have used this moses basket for both our daughters. Larger than most. Very sturdy. Gorgeous. We traveled with the basket off the stand.

I put my mattess in the sun for a day and never had a problem with the smell.

Great customer service. One of my bolts was thread when assembling and the company had a new one sent out straight away. Aesthetic and convenience.

Looks good, but better options out there – I used this for two children every night as newborns until approx 3 weeks old and then when we were visiting family/friends instead of a portacot until they were approx 3 months or 9kg (I have big babies). isn't a problem if your bub isn't moving. I would not feel comfortable having a bub who could roll over in the bassinet because I would be scared they would fall out the side if the basket breaks or goes out of shape.

I had some bedding made to fit the bassinet as it was useful to have extra fitted sheets for the mattress. I also used it with a bassinet sized mattress protector so never had a problem with smelly latex.

I also found the frame needed tightening regularly to avoid it being rickety/wobbly.

Moving it around the house was somewhat easy, but in hindsight a bassinet on wheels would have been a better choice. Particularly if wanting to have it next to your bed in the early days and being able to push it away so you can get in and out of bed. I think the king parrod one looks like what I would get if I had my time over again. Not that I have used it, but it seems to do everything I would expect from a bassinet.

The other thing that I would find useful in a bassinet is the ability to elevate the head of the baby if they are suffering from reflux. I put a small towel under the wooden base of this bassinet for this purpose.

I did find that I couldn't lean my arm on the side of the bassinet when settling because it wasn't strong enough to bear the weight. Aesthetics, lightweight, transportable Not as sturdy as others on the market, not suitable for bubs that can roll over (unless basket is off the stand and on the floor), fragile basket

The smell is awful! – I regret purchasing this product as the smell of the mattress is unbearable. I refuse to put my newborn on it as I would never sleep on it myself. Terrible – We have had the seed pod bassinet set up for two months now prior to the arrival of our baby. luck. If the smell is offensive to us we are worried the effect it may have on our baby. Unfortunately we cannot get a refund or exchange at the store we purchased it from in malvern, VIC. we have looked into getting a custom-made mattress to replace the existing, but the cost far out weighs the convenience. We are now looking to replace it completely. We are extremely disappointed with this product and hope this experience makes others weary. Convenient size, attractive in home. The smell from latex foam mattress is unbearable.

months, the smell is still incredibly offensive and we do not feel comfortable with our newborn sleeping so close to a surface that has a smell similar to that of petrol............any suggestion would be greatly appreciated as the store we purchased it from will not consider a refund. Saved my life!!!! – This is the best bassinet ever created. my baby slept in it until he was 6mths old and just slept like a log! it was fantastic being able to take it to friends and on holidays and not have to worry about him being unable to sleep or having to assemble a porta-cot. and it looks divine. Beautiful, simple design – I loved this Moses basket as soon as I saw it, as it was extremely stylish and was not covered in frills and ruffles like so many other bassinets. It has been absolutely fantastic! It takes up next to no space in our bedroom and is lightweight enough to move around if we need to. Having used this basket now for 3 months, I think it is worth the price tag. Although it probably only has use for 5 or 6 months before baby outgrows it, bubs uses it every night making it very worthwhile. Stylish good looks, lightweight Expensive

we have quite a long baby and I'm sure he would be nearly too tall for some other bassinets by now!

My only problem with it is that when I put my hands in to try and soothe/settle my baby I rest my arms on the sides of the basket. When I remove my arms as he falls asleep it makes a loud noise as the basket moves and this scares bub and wakes him up! Very frustrating but this is the nature of the basket material - this is definitely not something I considered when buying it and is maybe something for others to ponder...!! Fantastic – We purchased this for our first baby and he slept in it for nearly 6 months. It's quite a roomy bassinet/moses basket being long and wider than most on the market. that the latex mattress was smelly, true it is but if you put it in the sunshine the smell disappears. I also used an organic cotton mattress pad on top of ours. A few years ago I did find it hard to find sheets to fit this size mattress because of the length so I made my own, however now there are plenty on the market especially the organic type.

I did have a problem also when I washed the mattress cover with it shrinking, the manufacturer was fantastic and replaced it no questions asked and without me even returning the original cover. I had to ring the manufacturer/importer as the shop I purchased it from had gone bankrupt.

The base it stands on folds flat for easy storage later as well.

We have just pulled it out of storage for our 2nd baby to use and I am sure it will last for more children than this if we choose to have anymore.

The latex does smell, but put it in the sun and this disappears, latex isn't really organic so perhaps the manufacturer should look at using an organic wool or cotton futton in it instead.

Classy, stable, perfect addition to our room – We looove our Seed Organic Pod. Yes the mattress is latex, but hey all latex mattresses have the latex smell. well...very handy! I think the basket the the stand are very sturdy and well made. It's not too heavy for me to move around as well. Since my son had tummy pains from gas, we were able to tilt the basket with the supporting ropes so it would be more comfortable for him (this was our idea, not recommended by Seed Organic Pod). We loved our Seed Organic Pod and so does our son as he gets to stay in our room for his first 6 months! Sturdy, well made, portable, comes with two mattress covers, easy to install, and not too heavy. Not cheap, but still affordable, slight smell from latex mattress

Excellent – The is a beautiful bassinet that will fit in any sized room. Baby is at a good height, is safe and sleeping in a bed that was good for her and the environment! During the day, I was able to move the baby out into our living room so she got use to noise and light. The mattress is made from latex and our baby slept really well in it. What really appealed, besides the style and organic nature, was the length of the bassinet. It meant that the baby had lots of room to grow. It is also easy to assemble.
