handle makes carrying it outside easy. One feature which I do not like about this product is the holes in the lid. The holes attract fruit flies and can make the house smell, especially on hot days. The bin comes with one washable charcoal filter. I find the filter continuously falls out of the bin. I do not believe the holes are needed for any reason apart from the company wanting return customers to purchase additional charcoal filters. I did contact customer service, and they were very responsive and helpful. They are sending me two complimentary charcoal filters; however, they are unable to offer a different lid or provide a refund.
