Seiki 1500W Ceramic Heater

Seiki Foot Heater - Don’t waste your money! – Purchased several Seiki Foot Heaters from Coles. They are absolutely useless. Don’t waste your money! The thermostat heating element switches off and on constantly every 3 seconds. Coles stop stocking rubbish china brands.
I'm still cold! – This heater was purchased from Coles -$59. I would have expected a decent fan heater for this price, but it barely warms my toes when they are stuck up right against it. The cheaper ones far outperform it! The other thing is that it has heating vents coming out from all four sides, but the cord is so short you would always have it up against the wall which defeats the purpose of a 4 sided heater. Not recommended.
Coles Seiki 360 Ceramic Heater - Disappointing Heater with Poor Performance – Spotted this in Coles and thought I would try it. Ceramic heaters tend to perform well and I liked the idea of one that would produce heat in all directions (ie the 360 degrees as advertised) to give a more even distribution of heat to the room. Its features read well, but unfortunately this Seiki heater seems quite underpowered in its ability to… Read more
push warm air compared to the other 1500W ceramic heater I have.
See the review I left on the same sized but much better Heller heater here: https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/1595535b-0105-550e-a472-f105ea4934ab
Same specification heaters, same room, same price, but this Coles Seiki heater simply does not generate enough heat to make a noticeable difference in the room temperature. The Heller one will keep the room warm on its lowest setting quite happily.
Even stranger is that on the 750W mode it only blows lukewarm air out of the back and right hand side grills (ie not 360 degrees as advertised, but 180 only) so if it is facing you which is logical as that's where the controls are (mine is under my desk) it blows cool air on you (not heated - I can put my fingers directly on the grill and leave them there) out of the front grill. It is only when it is on the 1500W setting that it blows warmer air from all 4 sides. What a terrible design - and it's noisy.... but that's the least of its problems.
I tried to return the Seiki to Coles in all its original packaging, but was told as it has been used it can't be returned. Fair enough. I would however suggest perhaps buying your heaters from Office Works, Harvey Norman or Bunnings as they may be more flexible in their policies. Aldi and Bunnings certainly are. You don't want to get stuck with a Coles dud.
Not a heater I would recommend.
