Sennheiser MX 470

Excellent and inexpensive – As a casual music listener, these earphones were perfect. I cannot complain about the sound quality which was excellent and very clear. However the foam covers were poor quality and fell apart in a short time. The cords tangled very easily, and I always wish there was a button to answer calls.

good sound – I really enjoy the sound it this , so clear! The cost was a bit steep, but worth the durability. (i'm glad to say I still use these now, almost been a year!) however my small ear hurt when having these in for a long time so beware of that.

Decent quality earbuds – I have just replaced my first pair of MX470 earbuds after approximately 3 years of constant use. I used them every day, took them on holiday, on the train, pulled them in and out of my bag a million times, even fell asleep wearing them a few times, so I thought they lasted well. I was pleased to see that the same model is still available and am now happily using my second pair. I hope they will last as well as the first pair.

I mostly listen to podcasts (spoken word) on an iPod, so I cannot comment on the sound quality for music. I am happy with the sound quality for my purposes - I plug them in and they sound good.

I don't remember what I paid for the first pair, but this pair was $28. Decent sound, last well, stay in ears Eventually the wires will fail (as you bend and stress the cord), the cord is rather long (I had to wind it onto a bobbin)
