Easily broken if sat on, average sound quality - not a great product but not many alternatives – When you're spending $100+ on a pair of over ear headphones (like the AKG K553 Pros) you get a lot for your money with over-ear full size headphones, and start getting decent fitting IEMs. Not so in the middle ground - these have a weak fold, trap hair in the headband, aren't particularly comfortable for large heads AND sit poorly on big ears. My… Read more

wife tried to use them for Audible late at night, rolled over on them and snapped them irreparably - they're not built to withstand abuse but a 50kg girl shouldn't kill a product like these so easily imo. They're okay for purpose - cutting out background noise is ok if you have small/medium ears and they're even across all types of music. But they're very lo-fi options even compared to the HD 280 Pro's or other similarly priced Sennheisers.

Good performance with a good price – I purchased on about 5 years ago. Now now my daughter took it. So I have to purchase a new one. The quality is as good as the old one. And it's light but a bit tight for me. The price is good with 20% discount on ebay, only about 60AUD.  Show details

Great value for money – I work in a loud environment, bought these to cut out noise and listen to music, worked great. Great sound for the price. Built quality is impressive. Great for all types of uses. Nice and comfortable on my head, would be the same for yours. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks.  Show details

You asked for it – I would be lying if I said I wasn't mad at Sennheiser right now. These head phones actually sounded great for about a week.... then one side stopped working. Always kept in case, hardly used. The problem is at the jack end of the lead. I emailed Sennheiser and politely asked if they could fix the problem and they have chosen to ignore me. Thus my review.

Terrible – So disappointing. Have had the headphones for about three months and the right headphone has completely stopped working. Bought the item from DigitalRev who have an incredibly difficult and expensive returns policy. Would absolutely not recommend this product. I have read several reviews stating they have stopped working - don't run the risk!

Decent headphones - fill a gap in the market – I've had mine for more than a decade now and they've recently been retired - but the only problem I've found is the ear padding has perished and kept leaving bits of black on my ears! Otherwise they're still fine. They also had a pretty tough life - countless times the headphones ended up being sqeezed into bags with the cord wrapped around the… Read more

folding headband, rather than being put into the case.

Speaking of which, the protective case takes a bit of getting used to, but does work ok once you get used to it.

The best aspect of these headphones is that they are compact, and fit over the ear comfortably without much leakage of music, so you're not disturbing others. There aren't many alternatives around that offer this. The sound quality is much better than most if not all in-ear headphones.

My only gripe is that there is at least one better sounding option. I tried a very similar Sennheiser model which had vents on the outside of the earpieces. There was of course more sound leakage, but the reproduction quality was noticeably better. Guess that's a trade-off with having such a compact set of headphones that don't disturb others. Compact, reliable, good-quality sound. Insulates sound pretty well given it doesn't go fully over the ear. There are better sounding options especially if you are prepared to have a bit more sound leakage.

Very impressed – These are compact and lightweight with the added bonus of being collapsible which is a great asset for travelling when space is a problem. The sound is clear and the phones seem to block out most outside noise. I have yet to test them during a plane trip.... that will be the ultimate test for me. Size and collapsible

Good quality travel headphones – I bought these in an airport prior to a flight thinking they were going to be ideal travellers. Whilst they are good, I had difficulty watching a movie on my iPhone with them as they weren't really loud enough. That said, when using them normally (not in a plane) they sound very clear & crisp. There is a lacking of bass so if you're a bass… Read more

head then these won't be your favourite headphones.

I now use these as my main headphones (over iPhone buds & sennheiser canal buds) as they are quite comfy and the sound is great, nice and brassy with nice punch. They're just not doof doof bassy!

Overall I think they are priced at the high end of their market segment, but not overly expensive.

I would recommend them to people after comfy, nice sounding headphones. Not for bass heads. Comfy, compact, sound quality. Lacks deep bass.

These are really great – I got these as a replacement for Sennheiser bluetooth version - see review here. I got the 200 IIi version which supports iPhone as it has the mic. The sound on these I feel is fantastic for a small form factor style of headphone. They're still not cheap but are probably much better than the cheaper version of these where the earpieces are… Read more

not enclosed.

They fold also which is handy. Sound quality excellent - I'm sure these easily match the EQ Dr Dre Beats headphones that seem popular, but without the bulky look and feel. Nothing really but I wish Sennheiser were smart enough to make a neat way to wrap the chord around the headphones when folded.

Good – I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend on headphones, but still want some high-quality headphones and thought I would try these as I saw a special offer online to get these for under fifty dollars. They have some of the best audio quality I have experienced in this price range - which I had expected from the Sennheiser brand. I still think it… Read more

was quite a good buy and nothing can compare that I have tried in such a price range from any brand. Comes with a case, headphones can be folded up into the size of a pair of sunglasses and fit in the provided hard-case. Unconfortable when wearing for moderate to long periods. The connector on my pair is not L-shaped and doesn't appear to be very durable.

OK – I got these head phones many yeas ago and to this day they are still in new condition. That says something about the manufacturing quality as my Sony earphones which cost more had wires fraying after two years. The sound on these headphones are good. I do not rate it highly though. I would say it is middle of the road. The headphones are… Read more

comfortable to wear for some time but will hurt your ears as they push them down after long use.

These are good portable headphones but I would suggest searching for something better. A good set of mid range headphones. Sound quality is better on other headphones.

Excellent – The fact that these are still available is a testament to how good they are. I use them solely for use away from home and while travelling, mostly on airliners. No one has complained that they can hear my music while I am listening with them. The airline plug is an excellent addition. The carry case is large enough for my headphones, the two… Read more

supplied adapters and my MP3 player to fit inside.

Excellent value for money. Small, compact, lightweight and comes with a handy carry case.

Excellent overall sound quality. Lots of bass, midrange and highs.

Airline double plug and 5mm adapter included. Can't fault them.

Excellent – They are DEFINITELY worth the money, and i would want everone to go out and get them just for the reason that they will purely enjoy their musci more!!!! The sound quality of the px-200s is great! im surprised at how good these headphones sound. I used to use the headphones that came with my ipod, but listening to my ipod through these has brought… Read more

a whole new dimension to my music! they are extremely comfortable, and great for travelling as they are small, lightweight and you dont even notice that youve got them on!!! The product advertises that it reduces 'unwanted sound' however you can still hear outside things at about half volume. At about 3/4, all you can hear is the incredible sound quality, and so it is not a big deal at all. Outside sound is reduced, but only a little muffled.
