ear cover falling apart – I also had the PXC250 and upgraded to PXC450.The problem with them is the ear covers. You cannot buy covers for the PXC250 so in the bin it goes. Ear cushions for the 450 are $70-00 and last about two years , not good enough. Buy the PXC450 and in two years time there may be no covers also.

Great ! – Had these for about a year now. Purchased these because the PXC-250s served me so well for so long. The sound quality is fantastic and has a really good dynamic range. Very comfortable and minimal sound leakage. There is 'talk' button on the side of the right ear cup to stop all sound and noise reduction so you can hear and talk to someone without having to remove the headphones. Especially useful on plane flights when I'm constantly asked if I want something to drink, eat, etc. Unlike the 250s, the low battery warning light is situated on an ear cup so it's not possible to see it blinking - but really there is no other solution to this unless you want an inline battery compartment. Overall - fantastic!

Excellent product – I bought these headphones today. Couldn 't wait to get them home and try them. I found them to be the perfect choice for me. I tried both the Bose Q3 and QC models and found the Q3 whilst great noise cancellation had large amounts of leakage as well as lots of pressure/suction on the ears. I actually preferred the QC over the Q3 for comfort but found the really basey and hot on the ears. Don t think I could wear them all day. The PXC 450 were almost perfect they feel great have a good balance of sound quality Evernote at low volumes. They don t get hot on the ears at all but do let a little more outside noise in than the Bose. The talk button function is a excellent idea and works really when needed. Shop around for price through as I found a big difference prices range from $350 online to $699 at Harvey Norman. I manage to get mine for $489 from local Hifi shop and with duty free will come down even more. Overall a great purchase! Excellent look and feel. With talk button Wide price range between outlets and slight outside noise in noise canceling
