Do not buy. Purchased cameras to operate off solar and after 3 months batteries could not hold enough power overnight shutting down and then eventually would shutdown during daylight hours. Picture quality is average, wifi connectivity intermittent, app is full of ads etc etc. Contacted Sentinel for support, what a joke! All they offered was to… Read more

connect to power ( see reason for purchasing above) and test and retry. Have lodged CA Vic complaint as these are just short of scamming. Save your money, do not buy!

Do not buy. Bought 2 to provide internal shed cover on rural property, Clunky to setup. Solar panel flimsy. App V 380 Pro is a con. Full of ads, unable to turn off permanently, sometimes turn off option not on menu, intermittent wifi connection, camera does not consistently detect, couldn’t get either camera to detect vehicles. A big… Read more

disappointment considering the marketing hype. Email trail with “support” re ads on app a waste of time. FAQ on website re blocking ads states they can be blocked permanently. I did ask for this to be corrected but as of 26/4/ it hasn’t been . The only way to remove ads is to subscribe to a cloud based subscription service.

I am surprised at some of the negative reviews given. I bought a camera about a year ago, followed the clear instructions and it just worked as expected. At one point, I changed my phone and needed assistance to get it set up again, no problem. The lady at Sentinel is amazing, she couldnt be more helpful and patient with me I do agree with some of… Read more

the commments about the software being full of advertising but this is not Sentinel's fault, it is the app developers. You can turn the advertising off and I have done I can view my home at any time frpm anywhere so long as I have data available on my phone, I have even checked it from Israel and I live in Queensland so - YES, it am very pleased with mny purchase

Bought the 4G camera and a wifi cam off marketplace, still in the box. Got them mounted. The wifi cam at the house works ok. REASON FOR BUYING Monitor the front gate 400m from my house. Send alerts when a vehicle, animal, person is entering. SET UP… Read more

The solar panel mount is flimsy. The app we'll get to later. CAMERA PERFORMANCE 1. The motion detection doesn't work reliably. During day light, It picks up movement on the farm across the road 50 meters away and some vehicles on the road 30 meters away but not once has it detected a vehicle entering the gate 15 meters away. It detects vehicles leaving. At night time it also picks up vehicles leaving but not entering. 2. For battery management I have the camera set to record on motion detection only rather than continuous record. This is the same setting as my existing trail cam which has done a fine job for 8 years but doesn't have remote access via 4G. 3. It doesn't send alerts to my phone. It took forever to go through every menu option in the two set up options to find the alert options. 4. IMPORTANTLY. Most of the camera's functions only work with a monthly

Follow-up  · The picture quality is good : HD. Customer support is non existent. The app required a monthly subscription so I gave it a shot. In short, It's PIR range is too short and it missed recording important activities, despite those activities being in the designated target area. I cancelled the account after 4 weeks and took it down and swapped to a… Read more

Don't be mislead, these cameras are despatched from China not Adelaide Australia, as their website would infer. Therefore they take 3 - 4 weeks from despatch to arrival in Australia. Once the camera arrives and you've had a chance to install it and realise it's shortcomings, the 30 day satisfaction guarantee has well and truly expired. You are… Read more

stuck with advertisements coming up each time you open the app on your phone. Apparently there is a way to override these 'pop-ups' however the override needs to be done every 2 weeks........indefinitely. What a shame! Also, when we first ordered the camera online it came up with a deal when you purchased an extra camera. We declined the offer but were charged for two anyway. We then had to contact them to arrange a refund and to stop the additional camera from being despatched. Have a approached the company for a refund but were declined.

Wasted about $800 on this rubbish, and countless hours with the “[Name Removed]” Customer support robot “[Name Removed]”. This Company has NO TELEPHONE CONTACT NUMBER . First of all the advert , is very misleading - talks about on farm use. No wifi- no worries, uses 4G generic statements. One would assume from that it’d be like mobile phone -… Read more

when wifi fails , 4 G kicks in . But no, they sent me 4 cameras Wifi only . No 4 g. Trying to return them under the 30 day guarantee is a bad joke too . ALSO VERY MISLEADING . Skirted around providing me with an address where I could send them , to get a refund and basically stalled me by offering to sell me another four 4G only cameras that would allegedly fulfill my security needs. Made out it was a good deal - I can keep the wifi cameras ( (. $800 worth) ,that I’d like a refund for ( whoopie ) , and they’d generously sell me another 4 cameras for $89 dollars each. After 8 weeks perseverance I’ve decided to contact the Ombudsman and see if I can get refunded , or at least get them prosecuted. Only one camera has been unpacked from its box and set up , also with much difficulty using their app which frequently disconnects and bombards me with ads and other traps , to download rubbish accidentally by touching the screen trying to get rid of it but instead starts to download it ! 30 day return policy is a con. The only use this product is good for,in my opinion is to place on the property as “ dummy camera deterrent “ A bloody expensive one albeit !! Most expensive dummy cameras on the market !

DO NOT BUY!!! These cameras and the operating app are an absolute waste of time and money. The app is nothing but a [Name Removed] ad in disguise. You are constantly bombarded with ads for cloud backup and viewing. The app won't connect to the cameras 99% of the time (despite me receiving alerts). The "tracking" feature does not work even when… Read more

vehicles etc are only metres from the cameras. The app constantly requires me to sign in / log in. There is absolutely no reply from the supposed "customer service" team. The cameras constantly require rebooting and that can only be done by physically pushing the reset button - so much for being useful at remote sites. All of these issues are related to the 4G network that constantly has four or five bars of reception. If I do not get a reply from "customer service"??? I will be escalating my situation to the ACCC. All in all a complete waste of money. I've only given these cameras one star as I can't submit my review. There should be an option for negative star reviews.

Buyer beware. Firstly, Sentinel Cameras advertise themselves as an Adelaide based Australian company which they probably are, but they are just another drop-shipper probably based in someone's linen closet. They send your order straight to [Content Removed] and you receive the goods direct from [Content Removed] about 3 weeks later. In my case,… Read more

all was present and correct however one of the included MicroSD cards was faulty which cost me another $23 to replace. To their credit, Customer Support have since informed me they will send a replacement MicroSD card.

The cameras are NOT RTSP CAPABLE which means you are stuck with and locked into the bug and advert infested V380 app to control them which only runs on your mobile. No desktop version. The app is quite buggy and slow with inconsistent recording and alarm messages that sometimes work and sometimes don't. You can set a period when you want alarms till you're blue in the face but the app continues to send alerts at any time of the day or night. If my wireless router reboots for any reason, none of my five cameras automatically reconnect. I have to walk up to each camera with my mobile phone held close to each camera and they finally reconnect to the wireless. My other 17 wireless devices all reconnect perfectly every time. This is another reason why the missing RTSP capability is such a big deal, the V380 app we're limited to is truly hopeless.

The camera tracking is very hit and miss, works sometimes but not every time.

Each camera has to be armed and disarmed individually, there is no facility to disarm or arm all cameras in a block. With a bit of thought this would have been easy to implement as there is a Grouping feature.

Picture quality is pretty grainy for an alleged 2k resolution, very difficult to make out a face more than 3 or 4 metres away. Digital zoom is a very grainy, blurry mess.

Every 15 days you have to turn ads off in the app. This only turns off most of the persistent full screen ads, not the constant nagging to sign up for a cloud storage subscription and/or "AI Insights". The cost of each of these is about $USD3.00 per feature per camera per month which would work out about $USD72.00 per year per camera.

The solar panel and it's bracket are very flimsy and I have grave doubts about their survival in any strong wind.

Support at Sentinel Cameras is not good, it seems to be some poor implementation of an AI bot support system designed to fob off people with genuine "too hard" problems by assigning them time consuming tasks in the guise of "helping to solve the problem". Then ending with a shoulder-shrugging "WE GIVE UP" email which doesn't solve ANYTHING. All their support seems to be script based and cannot answer questions when the answers are not in the script.

All in all I would not recommend these cameras and wish I hadn't bought them. Better to stick with a more expensive but quality brand like Eufy.
