DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU EXPECT THE CONVECTION OVEN TO HEAT TO THE SET TEMPERATURE. I have used two oven thermometers to check the operating temperature and this oven is consistently below what is expected. Set for 220 degrees and recorded 160 degrees on the thermometer. Spoke with Sharp Australia (1300742770) and was informed that a… Read more
technician would visit and test the oven. If the oven operated according to specifications then I would be charged for the service fee. My concern is being told that even though the oven does not reach the required operating temperature is not a fault according to the T & C's. (the usual weasel words used by companies). This microwave/convection oven is not fit for purpose as the external cabinet gets very hot during operation so it is obvious where the heat is being lost.
R321CA FST Exactly what everyone else says. It's virtually useless. This is the worst Convection Microwave I have ever owned. The microwave is ok. The Oven doesn't get hot, the Grill takes 30 minutes to melt cheese, on the high rack, with no hint of browning at all and the Air Fryer....what air fryer? I have started a warranty claim today and if… Read more
they find nothing wrong, I will ask for a different brand replacement or a refund. If I'm unsuccessful I will go to the ACCC. Seriously, it's THAT bad. IT IS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
RUBBISH AS AN AIR FRYER. Bought this as Sharp and Good Guys states it is also a convection oven, air fryer, and grill. It is totally useless as an air fryer, soooooo disappointed. What can be achieved in a small air fryer takes about four times longer and it still isn't cooked properly. So 15-30 minutes turns into over 60-90 minutes and still… Read more
not right. The oven temperature set at 180 C won't cook in that time. That disappointing result is after the temp is turned up to the max temp of 230 C. DO NOT BUY unless you just want a microwave, in which case buy one at half the price without it claiming to do things it simply cannot.
Soo disappointing, ok as a microwave but useless as air fryer or oven, just not hot enough. Unfortunately it’s screwed into a boat galley and we will need a carpenter to get it out and fit a new one.Going out now to buy an air fryer . Don’t waste your money. Show details
This is supposed to be a microwave, oven, grill and airfryer: described as Convection Microwave Oven with grill and the manual has recipes and instructions for all these functions. It does its job as a microwave but not the rest of the functions. I've taken it to be assessed multiple times and the assessor says it works the way it should and… Read more
that I don't understand it e.g. (1) oven set at 210 heats to 180 and "that's what should happen", and (2) the grill doesn't go red: he says it's not supposed to but the manual says if it doesn't go red, raise a service query (it doesn't turn red & I've raised a query multiple times). I would accept the oven working as if it is on 210 when it heats to 180 but that doesn't happen.... it works more like it's on 150. Grill and airfryer are both useless. I've tried endlessly to return it/ have someone explain to me why 180 is really 210 but to no end. It just doesn't do the job, and no-one can give any advice on the reason. And while the assessor told me it's working to spec - without him doing anything - the contact centre (who are very nice but you speak to a different person every time) tell me he's replaced parts. So after months of effort it's all too hard and costing me too much stress in wasted time and ingredients. I've tried following their recipes: they almost work but not good enough as nothing is sufficiently hot. Recipes include filet mignon, roast vegetables & meat, chocolate cake... no way. I'm struggling to supply photos - it's not easy to show a piece of fish that's not cooked through (see photo- in paper & delicious cooked in my oven), or veggies that go chewy rather than crisp, or meat that just warms rather than cooks. I did get the chocolate chip cookies to cook after increasing the temperature and time. For my own sanity I'm giving in - I'll just write off my almost $500 as a terrible waste. Writing this review is my final time-wasting act on this extremely disappointing product! It's also quite tricky to clean - I'm not sure how to clean the roof around the grill racks - would be sensible to be able to remove for cleaning. Definitely not recommended.
Jack of all master of none – We are extremely limited for space in our kitchen so decided that a multipurpose microwave/grill/oven/... Etc. (5in1). could be what we need so purchased the Sharp but we couldn't be more disappointed. As a microwave oven it's fine (not great) and that's it. In airfryer or oven it's cold and take much longer than the built in recipes predict. … Read more
In Grill mode it's soooo slow to toast. The onboard menus are frustrating and limiting. The turntable also makes it limiting. It really just can't do all the things it says to do in an efficient and practical way. Personally wouldn't buy again a better (as we now have) buy a separate air fryer/griller and use this as a microwave (or save money and just bye a dedicated microwave. But this machine just can't do it all.
