prone to hot/cold spots. Generally it’s easy to use, even my elderly grandparents felt okay using it (side note they never really used any of the preset features). A real shame though because it still gives the illusion of working, it turns on and rotates and everything, however the light gave out (years ago) and tonight it stopped heating our food. I’ve read some stuff in an attempt to fix it but it doesn’t seem worth the trouble (or safe enough) if the magnetron/diode or some internal part is broken. Overall okay microwave! Just a shame that it gave out kind of randomly and definitely at an inconvenient time for me!

Junk, Worthless Stops working after 1 year – We thought that our new Sharp Microwave would last much longer than our previous Model from LG as that lasted 2 years. However we were wrong. Enquiry to 2 repairers state: These microwaves are failing in very large numbers. It is the Magnetron they state and over $150 to fix. Cheap manufactured rubbish. The old Japanese made models lasted decades. We have decided now to do without a Microwave permanently. No more opportunity for Meg Company capitalistic exploitation of consumers at our expense. Had promise re design & features Built to only last until warranty expires it seems. Stopped working just over 1 year old .

Died 3 months outside warranty – Looks good but made a 'thud' noise after 15 months occasional use and now does not heat. I have always been annoyed at the quiet alarm noise (don't you want us to hear it?) so glad it has now busted! see this model has already been deleted by Sharp - I wonder why?? Won't be buying another Sharp. Looks good, nice large cooking cavity Alarm too quiet. Stopped heating after only 15 months occasional use.

So easy to use even Grandma will love it – One push of the button and it senses the quantity of food and times the cooking accordingly. 1100 Watts gives it the edge on fast results and no techno savvy required. Good value for money and easy to clean - best we have owned Top of the case is a bit thin on the metal but no problems so far.
