Sound is good but Quality is dismal – Have had nothing but problems with Shure earphones, earphone cables and Bluetooth cables for my Shure 425 earphones. Cables fray and wire pokes through, Bluetooth cable just stopped working and now the body of one 425 has split at the glue in the seam. These earphones are not cheap +$300 AUD I am going back to Sennheiser earphones. German quality. Show details
Brilliantly balanced – These IEMS are for the purist, with a clear, vibrant sound reproduction. It is true, bass is somewhat lacking but the beauty of the 425s is that they respond pretty well to equalisation. As someone who was using a pair of KZ ZS3s for a while, I definitely noticed the lack of low end, but now I love how other sounds are conveyed. The default pair… Read more
of ear tips fit perfectly, and it is amazing how much noise they bock out. Fitting them on can be a test of your dexterity, as the cable plugs into the earphone with a circular plug, meaning they swivel around. It is ultimately worth it for the listening experience.
Great Noise Cancelling Earphones! – These earphones are great, the noise cancelling is great and they are very comfortable. Awesome how you can replace the cable, though in 2 years I have not needed to (kevlar coated cable is pretty bulletproof! They don't colour the sound as far as I can tell. If you want extra bass go for the SP215 (with expanded bass, I had a pair before… Read more
this), but if you just want good clean sound, great sound cancelling, bulletproof replaceable cable, comfort, at a reasonable price you could do a lot worse!
Not as good as my Sony XBA2h – These are a great pair of headphones but somewhat lack bass. Was kind of disappointed. but the clarity and sound quality of these is outstanding. They come with a super thick cable but the connections near the earplugs isn't firm, they move around freely and don't lock in place. Show details
Good solid earphones – When I bought these. It took me ages to get them comfortable. There was no base what so ever. I was just about to write off to the supplier, when almost by magic they just stated to give this warm detailed sound that I felt in love with. It was almost as if they needed to warm up. I now know that it has more to do with getting them to fit in the… Read more
ear correctly then anything else. To this day it still takes a bit of fiddling to get them to fit. One year on though, and they still keep me from distraction whilst working.
I am very impressed – These are great headphones if you want natural sound. They have a well rounded sound that does not include a large amount of bass. If you are looking for a lot of bass these are probably not best for you. If you want to hear great detail in your music with crisp sound quality and decent balanced and tight bass these are great value for money (alot less than higher models and still great sound). Great headphones that you will grow to love – It takes a bit of time getting use to. Would encourage to try the different ear pieces as it is absolutely essential to get the right fit. It's probably the best headphones i've had so far. It's really clear and crisp. I don't think I can go back after having these headphones. It does lack bass but Shure does not advertise this as a feature… Read more
for these headphones. I have a Filo Montblanc which compensates for this though maybe it would've been better to buy the next model up if you want the extra bass. Didn't fall in love with it straight away but grew to love it.
