Worst mattress ever – Worsts mattress ever was so firm, felt like sleeping on the floor boards booked in a council pick up to take it the tip and brought a new one wasted my money at least l got rid of it before we both needed a chiropractor Show details
4 years strong and still love it – We purchased this 4 years ago after looking for a firm mattress without a pillow top. Loved it since, still no partner disturbance, no sinking in feeling. Often sleep in the bed with the kids in many directions and no odd / uncomfortable spots anywhere on the mattress. We have previously purchased firm mattresses in other brand in other sizes and… Read more
they do not come close. Will be our first choice when we have to replace the other mattresses. Worth the investment.
Absolutely love it – One of the best mattresses out there, have tried many others mostly bed in a box and they don’t even compare to this. Had one small issue with it but the company fixed it straight away no worries. It is so comfortable and it’s just amazing Show details
Would have been better to buy a sack and sleep on floor – The worst mattress we’ve ever bought. We purchased one and had it returned within the 90 day sleep guarantee, got a softer one the next time, it’s sunk so uncomfortable my husband and I have had to see a chiropractor to have our backs fixed, wake up with chronic headaches and back pain. We have now put the mattress In the spare room and sleeping on a $100 mattress we got from marketplace much better!!! Show details
Spend time testing in store – I purchased a Silent Partner Cosmopolitan Firm Queen Size bed from Forty Winks. I tried the bed in-store by lying on it and comparing to others. What I only discovered at home once installed was the "Motion Deflector Barrier" in the centre of the bed is like having a board running lengthways in the centre of the bed as it was so firm. This wasn't… Read more
explained to me when purchasing much to my detriment. As I sleep alone and spread out in bed I found lying across the centre Deflector Barrier very uncomfortable and hurt my hip and back. Even when rolling from one side to the other it felt like I had to "climb" over the Barrier to get to the other side. This system probably works adequately to avoid disrupting a partner when moving but the Barrier running down the centre of the bed is uncomfortable. The assistant at Forty Winks understood the issue after testing the bed in-store when I explained the problem and agreed I could exchange the bed under their 90 day comfort guarantee. Unfortunately the exchange could only be used for another bed from the same manufacturer Silent Partner (after I found a more comfortable King Koil bed in-store but it was not possible to exchange). The next bed up the Silent Partner range w/out the Barrier would have cost $1,000 extra so my option was to exchange the Firm Cosmopolitan bed for a Medium that had an extra pillowtop that covered the Barrier but also cost $300 more. This Med pillowtop mattress was much better. My lesson from this experience is to spend as much time as possible testing a bed and lying all-over the bed to find any possible issues. The Firm beds with the Motion Deflector Barrier need to be explained that the Barrier may not be comfortable for everyone. I have previously only purchased King Koil beds but Forty Winks didn't have a display model to try when purchasing and convinced me the Silent Partner Cosmopolitan was also a good bed. Again, spend half an hour testing a bed, it's a big investment and needs to be just right!
Dont waste your money – My mattress was great for the first three months. Since then even though I have been rotating the mattress the pillow top has lost its spring back into place where I sleep, especially around my hip area. Apparently body indentations are normal and not covered by warranty. I'm not a big person. It's terribly uncomfortable, sleeping in a hole each night. My whole back is aching. I'd rather sleep on the floor. Show details
Like sleeping on cobblestones - Silent Partner Cosmopolitan – We purchased this bed a week ago and it is the most appallingly uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in, or should I say not slept in! The idea is you won't feel your partner move. If an army of people slept beside you, you wouldn't feel them move!! The bed is rock solid as opposed to firm. I contacted Forty Winks and told them we actually feel… Read more
sore all over. They agreed that this was not right and said they would get the manufacturer to contact us. The manufacturer did contact us and their comment was "it takes 12 weeks to get used to a bed" and there was nothing they could do. We decided we couldn't cope with another 11 weeks of aches and pains and feeling sore, so bought a new mattress. Oh what bliss. Should have bought a Sealy to start with. What a waste of money. Please don't waste your money.
