Did not see any difference – I bought it for $250 at shoppers drug mart. I was very excited. I tried it immediately on my face after reading the guide book. Now its been a month an my chin hair is still same. I'm very disappointed and can't return it because the return policy is expired.
Purchased in for $250.

Much Better Than I Expected – I bought this about 3 months ago - unable to wax anymore for medical reasons and not going to shave my legs every couple of days for the rest of my life! Results have been much better than I expected. I've used it every 2 weeks up until a month ago, and have seen a very noticeable difference in the amount of hair on my legs and under my arms. You have to shave before you use it (I'm guessing so there's a blunt hair shaft at skin level for the light pulse to travel down) so I can easily judge the amount of regrowth between treatments.
I used to have "gorilla" legs - now the hair is more sparse over a lot of my leg area, and I could see the difference after only 4 treatments. I expect it to improve further if I continue to use it until next summer (5 - 6 months away) - I'll be disappointed if doesn't. The reduction so far is encouraging but I'd expect more than this for an end result.
Under my arms is only a soft peach fuzz regrowth - very happy with that.
On the first use I did a test patch on my upper thigh, where the hair is much blonder and not as thick - I've had NO regrowth in that patch since the first treatment.
It's not painful at all - feels like a flash of heat, but definitely not painful.
I found the glide function to be not very usefu - on the lowest setting it fires every second, so even if you glide it slooowly over your skin, you'll be missing areas with the glide.
I use it at the highest setting, which takes 3.5 seconds to recharge between pulses, and I move it carefully between each pulse to cover the entire area. It takes about half an hour to do each leg like this, but with the TV or radio on, it's fine. Underarms takes about 10 minutes to do both. I figure if you visited a salon, you'd be there for about the same time.
I've even used it on my chin - starting to get the awful wiry hair that comes with middle age! They're only sparse, I think it's making a difference but as I generally pluck them as soon as they start to grow back, it's a bit harder to tell! Even though it says not to expose skin to bright sunlight after treatment, I've had no irritation on my face, even when using it at highest power. .do take note of the hair and skin colour guide when you buy it though, it's on the outside of the packaging so you can't miss it.
The laser won't fire unless the light area is completely covered by your skin, so you can't accidentally give yourself a shot right in your eyes.
It hasn't escaped my attention that in salons, everyone wears protective glasses.
Given that, there'a still a noticeable flash when it fires, so I wouldn't look directly at it when using it. Especially as I use a mirror to do under my arms - I make sure I close my eyes & turn my head away when I fire it. On my legs it's easier, I can just sit so my thigh blocks the line of sight.
It doesn't require refill cartridges, as it contains 150 000 pulses. Hopefully should last me a lifetime, or at least until I. o longer care!
I thought the $400 was pretty steep at first, but when weighed against the cost of salon laser treatment (I'm in Hobart & it's over $100 a treatment here), or even waxing for the next 20 years, it's actually good value.
I'd definitely recommend it, wish I'd had the option years ago.
