was a disaster, the pears were firm at purchase, as they should be, but even after a week, were still hard, but with soft patches and skin discolouration and when cut open were very dry and with no taste. They were composted. I have just cut a magnificent (looking) nectarine open which has resisted all attempts to get softer over more than a week, but it too is dry and virtually tasteless. These nectarines have obviously been in long-time storage as well. I'm not wasting my time or money in this store again, the local supermarket has better fruit at lower prices and willingly exchanges should ever the need arise, unlike the proprietor of Castlemaine Fruit Supplies, who is not a nice person at all

Good – I like the concept of fresh veggies and fruits and like the fact that they actually are fresh. I reckon buying veggies and fruits from coles or woolworths is really not worth it and one should buy them fresh from a fresh supermarket. Excellent – There are two simply fresh stores in Canberra one in Woden, another one in Civic. Which offers quite a lot of fresh vege and fruits that are in much better natural quality than supermarket. vegetables usually can only be found in Asian groceries. such as snake bean, Italian flat bean, bitter melon, lotus root, green papaya, dragon fruit and custard apple etc. Not much. If they can accept credit card payment (even if less than $10 limit) rather than just cacsh that would be more convenient.
