Simpson use to be a great Product, but how bad their washing machines are today this 7kg isn't worth a cent, what a piece of Rubbish not even 3yrs old has problems spinning and draining, you should be thrown out of Australia, and the stores.

Very reliable machine – We've had this machine 5 years and it's been flawless. We now have two children (eldest is 2.5 years old) and use cloth nappies, so it gets used a lot, at least once daily. No problems at all with it, love the ability to delay the wash overnight so washing is ready to be put out in the morning. Show details

Okay Until It Was Dangerous – Had unit for approx 3.5 years. Use: Family of three at start, +1 newborn at one-year mark. General family use, once per day on one-hour cycle (usually) Pros: did the job. Cons: Unable to add clothes mid-wash No child-proof tampering for controls (important with a toddler) Difficult to reset back to defaults (had wife call me several times… Read more

at work to find out how to do it)

At 3.5 year mark internal wiring near plug became exposed, resulting in unit no longer working and crackling/sparkling at exposed point and smell of smoke (this was not through misuse or neglect) Scary!! 24 month warranty and not worth pursuing under Australian Consumer Law. Not worth paying for repair.

I can see this product has now been discontinued and that Simpson products no longer seem to be available at major retailers (e.g. Harvey Norman, The Good Guys) Unsurprised. Will be glad to get an upgrade.

No issues at all – My daughter has this machine and has had no issues at all, We unfortunately have to sell it as she has moved home due to the rental crisis. If we could store it for her we would but it’s not good to store washing machines for long periods of time once they have been used ( that’s what we have been told anyway) Show details

Front loader dead after 2.5 yrs – We bought this 2.5 yrs ago and of course it’s only got a 24 month warranty. It got progressively louder in spin cycle and then the clothes started smelling like gearbox oil .. it now looks like its had a total prolapse and can’t even close the door !! It’s stuffed now , and of course it’s not fixable .. This is not what you expect when purchasing… Read more

an item with the brand simpson !! Clearly they are no longer a reputable company to buy reliable white goods from - don't do it get another brand

Wouldn't purchase again – I have this nearly 2yrs now and the grime that builds up and stains ALL your clothes is ridiculous. I carry out a clean on this at least once a month if not more since I purchased it but it does NOT do anything to help stop it. I was advised to purchase a washine machine cleaner, this didn't work to remove grime! This is not something covered… Read more

under warranty so il have to just purchase another washine machine as its costing so much to replace all the clothes! Won't be buying simpson! Also, it only has one hose inlet for cold water which I didn't realised at time of purchasing! This adds to grime build up not having hot water run through it.

Three years on and happy with the product – I don't resile from the relatively minor negatives in my original road test, especially the buttons and the need to be careful in their use, but this has been a good purchase and remains highly commended. I find it a little surprising that some have cleaning issues, which is not a problem I experience. I continue to take the steps my late wife did… Read more

and don't have an accumulated lint problem and nor are there nasty smells. Every couple of months i set it on the Daily 60 cycle and run it without detergent but with about a cup of white vinegar and half a cup of bicarbonate of soda, following that with a second run with nothing added. The machine is as clean as new and smells great.

Never buying Simpson again and customer service is terrible – Washing machine washes clothes in an inch of water. It rinses them in more water... but after an hour of washing it is still turning them over in literally one inch of water. In the picture in the manual the water goes halfway up the door... In your fantasies. I put my clothes through twice and they are still dirty. Changed to expensive washing… Read more

liquid and they're still dirty. Contacted customer support was told too bad that's my bad for buying a front loader and she hung up on me when I said it wasn't good enough that I expected my machine to actually clean my clothes like my previous el cheapo machine. In the picture I've attached, where you see the line of suds at the bottom of the photo... That's the high water mark! Utterly ridiculous that they can refuse to do anything about a washing machine that simply turns clothes over in a trickle of water. I always use the longest cycle too.

Disappointed – Purchased my first front loader washing machine as I was told that they wash a lot better than top loaders. I only have a small gap to fit a washing machine and most top loaders are too big for my gap. I wanted a washing machine that had a soak option and this was the only front loader that had this option. I washed a dress that had a buckle… Read more

attached to it on a gentle cycle and it ripped the buckle of the dress. If I’m washing a jumper by it’s self sometimes it won’t spin and the jumpers come out with a lot pile on them. I don’t feel this washing machine washes very well.

So difficult to clean – This machine is so difficult to clean. At first we thought we were doing something wrong, then we referred manuals and talk to customer care. We cleaned in and out of the machine. Pipes cleaned. Filter cleaned. We started keeping door open after every wash. Running clean wash every month. Fast forward 3 months, it's very dirty.. all white clothes getting black spots.. Just not worth it to have this. Never gonna buy budget washer again Show details

Disappointed – I bought my Simpson 8kg EziSet Inverter SWF8025DQWA in January this year. I can say it washes well, unfortunately when it comes to washing the towels they come out like they have been eaten against a brick wall. I have tried putting them through on every program and get the same result. 8 have even gone for a lower spin with no difference. My machine also moves around I don’t know whether it’s the spin cycle seems really rough. Show details

Clean clothes, fast wash cycles – We have the 7kg EziSensor Front Load machine, and it does a great job for washing several loads on a weekend. I like that there is a 30 min Quick Wash cycle, but also a more thorough 1hr Time-Save cycle (which you can do at 65'- 90'C) perfect for quickly washing a load of smelly or dirty teenagers sports and school uniforms etc. A full Colour… Read more

Cycle is 2.5hr, a full Whites Cycle is 3hrs. The 7kg capacity is large enough to wash about 3-4 full size bath towels at once, but it still fits neatly under the laundry counter. We use liquid detergent in ours and have never had an issue. Excellent lint filter - which magically filters forgotten tissues, bits of paper, dog hair and hair ties into the lint trap - before they are shredded over your clothes. Ours is well balanced and I'm often amazed at how there is no movement or shuddering of the machine - even at 1200 rpm. A good purchase and would buy again.

Warranty Service Dreadful – Had to buy this as it was the only model available in the COVID lockdown. Works well enough, but balance has been an issue from day 1. Finally got a Warranty call. 3 and a half weeks wait, then an Electrolux tech arrived. No tools, not even a spirit level. Told me my bathroom floor was horrible, not level, which he said he could tell by just… Read more

looking at it. Used two of my fridge magnets to level the machine. Not very slick or professional. That lasted one wash. I was happy enough before, it did its work, but the quality of treatment from the Electrolux people, in phone calls and face to face, was hair raising and horrific. A real comedy of errors. I have now levelled the machine myself, using all 4 legs, and a pair of multis, and a small spirit level. I wish I had done that before. Never deal with Electrolux again.

A few issues – Recently purchased this machine which was delivered on a Saturday. First issue was the user manual which doesn't explain that you need to remove the whole detergent dispenser from the machine to adjust the flap for liquid or powder detergent. I called the Simpson help line and the operator just said "pull it out" but there are no instructions… Read more

about a lever or release button to remove the drawer. The operator insisted you "just pull it out". I called the retailer and the sales staff said the same thing - "it's easy, the drawer just comes out". It was so frustrating to have liquid detergent and not be able to adjust the drawer to be able to do a load of washing. After numerous attempts to pull out the drawer I noticed a small word "push" on the softener tray and by pushing the side of the drawer at this arrow it released and came out! I was so disappointed that Simpson/Electrolux, the retailer and the manual didn't mention this! Another issue are the buttons, the on/off switch doesn't respond to being pressed, the program control buttons are sensitive and fly through too fast at the touch of the program button. The cycles are not quick enough for my liking. You can't do a quick cold wash, it has to be at 30 degrees. The other issue is the travelling of the machine during spin cycle, even though it is perfectly level. The clothes are wetter and I have had to program another spin dry after the first cycle. I also tried the soak option which was for 3 hours and decided to soak the clothes in a bucket instead. Hopefully, I will get used to this machine after these initial problems have been sorted out.

Clean washing – Firstly never use powder for the quick and daily wash for best results use a liquid or biozet quick wash, liquids dissolve hell lot quicker than powder. You should only use the quick wash to freshen up that one or two sets of clothes that have been sitting in the cupboard for long time or that shirt you wore for like half a day.. I use the whites… Read more

program for a full load of clothes and also for my towels at 40 or 60 temp. 1200 spin the time it takes doesn't bother me as I can get all my house work done while it's washing,it's a good thing it's gotten the oldest stains out that my previous top loader couldn't get out.. the wash times don't bother me the longer the better means clean clothes. I also like the vapour makes towels light and steamy. I really like this machine I use the daily for sheets and bedding for blankets. Maybe watch some informative videos on youtube to better understand the wash programs there are a lot of washing machine enthusiast out there

Good price but lacking ease of use – I've been using this machine for 6 months now, but don't rate it as highly as my previous machine, a 7.5 kg LG. Capacity is 7 kg, which is fine for a small household, but it's clunky. The ON/OFF button is a small square silver button standing proud of the display, and needs to be pushed in just the right way, precisely in the centre, for the… Read more

display to light up. This is annoying, and I can see it would be a problem for people with arthritis, etc. There is a Program button to scroll through the display, which also needs to be pushed precisely (as in, it is not very touch sensitive). Start/Pause is a useful function, but again, the button needs to be pressed firmly. The detergent dispenser box also has to be treated with care; no good trying to give it a quick push back in place if you're in a hurry. While I like the variety of program options, I generally use the 1-hour Daily wash option as the spin speed is more efficient. I find the Quick 15 minute cycle doesn't spin clothes very well (they are still kind of soggy when you take them out of the machine) and there is no option to increase the Spin speed. (My previous LG had a 30-min quick wash, which was very efficient in terms of wash and spin quality.) I've used the Bedding option several times, which is very good and takes 1 hr 37 mins. I'm curious about the Energy Saver option, but when you select this option, the display indicates that the cycle takes 3 hrs 59 mins, which seems excessive. Final word: Had I known a bit more about this model, I would have spent more on something a bit more user-friendly. However, other reviews say it's built to last, so that's good.

This one should be preserved in the museum – This is my first review. This product made me write a review. I have bought this product in 2013. We run this machine for at least 2 times a week with a truck load of clothes. This is not a washing machine, it is a battle tank. No matter what amount of cloths you put, how many times you run, it does not care, just gets the job done. It is loud… Read more

Efficent – Best washing machine ive had so far, I find the front loader washes better than the top loaders. My towels stay fluffy and if l forget a tissue in one of the hidden pockets, with front loaders the tissue stays in the pocket unlike top loaders where the tissue ruins the whole wash!! Show details

Good but no lint filter – There is no lint filter so eventually you get hair and lint all over your clothes. But you can use epsom salts or something similar and clean the machine, then it seems ok. You have to do this every few weeks though. Show details

Do not buy. False advertsing. Not a 7kg machine. Wont spin towels – (How strange productreview doesn't have a separate rating for PERFORMANCE!!!) I bought this on 27/12/18. It was seldom used in my bach. Then I started discovering it was not washing properly. On the 15 minute wash there was even undissolved soap powder left in the wash. And the spin won't spin at full speed only 800 rpm (so SLOW dry for your… Read more

"quick" wash.) Then it started not draining. Wet, and full of suds, after the daily wash. This seemed to happen when washing towels and bath mats. Even 2 towels and a bath mat on quick wash. Now it's happening all the time and washing come out smelly and soapy. I looked at the manual to see if there was anything I could do about the ridiculous 15 minute wash which basically didn't wash. In the small print on PAGE 28 it said QUICK WASH =1.5KG MAX LOAD. DAILY WASH-4KG. This is NOT a 7KG washing machine. unless you have time for half day per wash and want to wear out your linen. And it is CERTAINLY not the " perfect washing machine for busy families." which it says in the brochure. Not unless by "busy" they mean spending several days a week doing teeny washes, and re-rinsing and spinning "quick" washes. I have owned numerous washing machines and several front loaders. I have NEVER come across a washing machine with design flaws and inadequate components like this one. The whole benefit of front loaders is that they can cope with any size of wash as they toss the clothes around evenly. Simpson has discovered a way to get around this so this machine DOESN'T. Why they didn't make a 30 minute wash which gets a full wash properly clean like my previous Samsung and Ariston is beyond me. And clearly their pumps and/or spin are so weak/defective they cannot cope with normal bath mats and towels.

Also it ran longer than the specified times. I watched it sit on 3 minutes for ages. And could never get it to beep when wash ended - seems you must remember how to set it for each wash. (No beep button.)

Great machine for the price – Bought the machine from the Good Guys (who wont be getting 5 stars for their service). 7kg front loader, I wanted cheap but reliable. of the cheaper options available - I opted for the Simpson brand as I trust it. I haven't been disappointed. Price was on point and it washes quickly, cleanly with several cycle options. Highly recommend.
