Finally died in Oct 2025 – Came with house and is a 2005-era washing machine, still going in 2024 and has not seen a service call yet for any reason. Has had the lint filter cleaned regularly and has had water taps and power switched off when not in use. Washes dirty clothes fine, a fairly noisy machine in spin cycle but reliable service and long life trumps anything else… Read more

Edit - finally died in Oct 2025 suspected power unit failure or integrated circuit board failure - no lights or error codes displayed.

beast – use it for my work clothes, im a heavy fitter working on mining gear, put this machine thru hell, brought it second hand 7 years ago. still goes strong. had a problem over flowing once, it was the cold water solenoid sticking open, fixed it my self easy enough. that was at least 6 years ago.  Show details

Mine must have been built on a Wednesday – The previous Simpson washer I had lasted 12 years. I purchased another Simpson based on the excellent local customer service for parts when I refurbished it during its half life. The new one looks weak and flimsy, and the dumb computer timer is no match for the old manual rotary dial, alas it's still working without issues so I think I have got my moneys worth. Now in 2016 I bet they make new ones out of laminated cardboard. You can't win..

Solid machine – I've had this machine 3.5 years, and I've been pretty happy with it. The seal has gone on the cold water inlet and the hose needs replacing to correct it, but the part isn't expensive so I'm okay with that. Never had any issues with it damaging clothing. Occasionally unbalances but no more than any other washing machine I've ever used. I wish… Read more ·  1

Worst washing machine ever – Having used Simpson washing machines for close on 50 years, brand alliance encouraged the purchase of this 7.5kg top loader about 3 years ago. From day one it bangs, crunches and worst of all distributes lint among the clothing like I never witnessed in any other machine. Would have to be the worst washing machine ever and one to avoid. Show details

Simpson Eziset 750 7.5 kg Model 22S750N Top Loader Washing Machine – Purchased this machine about 8 years ago and after about a year, it began to get out of balance, stop mid cycle regularly even with light loads and make a lot of noise in the spin cycle. The machine rusted out fairly quickly at the back as well. Will never buy a simpson product again.  Show details

Problematic from the start – We bought Simpson because we thought they had a solid reputation however only a month after using this machine it started beeping and stopping constantly mid cycle. We had it looked at several times under warranty where they said it was the electrical board but the problem never got fixed. Eventually the warranty ran out and we were stuck with… Read more

this malfunctioning machine.

To the machines credit it did this stop, start ,change settings, beeping carry on for 8 years before it refused to work anymore. At this point we'd had enough and switched to LG. Why oh why did we suffer for that long!!! LG is the best!

Terrible machine – Have had continuous getting out of balance, more on light loads, have replaced the computer board, have retired it to dump, avoid like the plague. Washes clothes clean when it works without banging and jumping across the floor. Apparently the getting out of balance is a common problem with this machine.  Show details

Unbalancing EVERY spin cycle – I bought a Simpson ezi set 750 because Simpson used to be a great brand. The machine has had a few problems. I purchased the parts to repair the circuit board, all good. BUT it unbalances EVERY spin cycle and bangs so loud and jumps so much that I have to move it back into position by 40cm or more. I have to race to stop it and it’s so loud… Read more

banging my neighbours can hear it. I will not buy another Simpson and have researched reviews and YouTube video’s to find out this problem of not automatically switching off when it unbalanced is very common. I cannot put the washing on and go and do something else. I now have to stay with the machine and that’s not what I bought an automatic washing machine for. I have never had a problem like this in over 45 years of washing clothes. It has become the bain of my life. Shame on you Simpson.

Lots of Faults with this product – No Power. Problem with control panel. Power button no longer works. Unbalances very easy. Unfortunately no longer under warranty so you just have to pay your local serviceman $140 call out fee to repair. Do not recommend Simpson washing machines. Obviously, lots of people are having exactly the same problem with this machine. Off balance now every wash, so stop & restart regularly. However, not starting at all now.  Show details

Unbalanced now NO POWER- DON'T BUY SIMPSON/ELECTROLUX – Had a simpson for 10 years. After having my daughter I needed a bigger one. Purchased new one in 2013, have had the guy out to fix it 3 times (extremely rude) problem was with unbalancing - he said I can NOT use ECO setting as it is only there to help sell the product ! Took advice - still unbalancing followed more advice was treated like an idiot… Read more

Ripping off disabled pensioners – balance on this machine has been hopeless since day one ,now the final insult , no power at all , power points are fine ,also rusting on the outside, i guess this is because on the rinse cycle it just sprays water from top to bottom wetting the lid and everything in between , very very very disappointed after all the mental anguish this has… Read more

washing. How Frustrating this is every time I wash, I thought it was supposed to be an automatic washing machine but it seems to be a manual. Machine Rusting on the outside – I had my last Simpson washing machine for around 15 years and then it was time for a new one. So obviously I bought another Simpson just over 2 and a half years ago. I do find it a little noisy (my other one was quieter) but I am happy with it. My main concern is that it is rusting on the outside just in the little groove that sit near the top of the machine. I never had this with my other Simpson so I am not very happy with this.  Show details

At exactly '25 minute' the spin cycle takes off and moves the maching around with much power. Used t – No other part has ever been a problem in these approx 7 years. Easy to clean inside and out. Washes well. Could be a little shorter cycle. Does not harm the different materials and soft fabrics. I always keep bras and special clothing in slip covers so no problem. Winter clothing, bedding, any type has not been damaged.  Show details

Shocking unbalance problems – Positives. Washes clothes OK. Lint filtering works well. Negatives. Severe unbalance problems worsening since new. Requires manual intervention to reposition load nearly every spin cycle. Even when load is manually redistributed, the tub action dumps clothes to one side and causes unbalance trip again. Needs constant monitoring while washing.… Read more

Would be easier to use and faster to use an old wringer/ washer. Very noisy on all cycles and spends a lot of time stopped and making whoosh whoosh noises. (Pump I assume). Purchased this machine because our previous Simpson machine performed well and lasted beyond expectations. Will try another brand next time.

Machine was going off balance – Purchased the machine in Feb 2011 and it would often go off balance quite easily. Also, it always made a great deal of noise on all cycles. However, in the last 3 to 4 months it would become unbalanced with every wash regardless of the size of the load or the volume of water, and bang around violently. The bowl appeared to be sitting at an angle -… Read more

leaning close to the back of the cabinet. I removed the top, lifted the suspension rod at the back corner at my right hand side and removed the nylon retainer at the top of the rod. I inserted a nylon spacer/washer that I fashioned by drilling a hole in a piece of 4mm thick nylon cut almost the same diameter as the retainer. The spacer was placed on the rod and the retainer replaced with the short shaft of the retainer passing through the spacer, which now sat between the retainer and its seating. This had the effect of moving the the bowl slightly further away from the back of the cabinet. After three loads in the last few days the machine has worked perfectly and is also far quieter in general.

Same Problem as Most other complaints.. Continual out of Balance Spin cycle – spin cycle out of balance all the time to the point outside casing of machine has been dinted, Does anyone have a solution how to tighten or resolve. The associated noise is overbearing. Also the entire time of full cycle far to long.  Show details

Have to stand over the machine every time for the 50 minute cycle. I'm afraid it will explode into – Extremely loud when it goes off center. Every wash is off balance even when same items are strategically placed. I'm sure my neighbours now hate me as the noise is extremely loud. Just found out my ex husband had the same machine and same problem. Not happy at all. Thank you.  Show details

Not happy at all – I've had several wonderful Simpson Washing machines over the years and had no hesitation, when moving towns on talking my partner into buying a new one. Ripped off again! – I will never buy Simpson again! We had a Simpson back in the 80s and this washing machine was the top of the range. blew out then the lid started to rust then it started making this hellish noise then the hot water hose started leaking plus it always cuts out because things are out of balance.

Am I upset? YES!

We had the extended warranty and yes we had the problems fixed under warranty but as for the out of balance banging and clanging problem well it just seems that it's a endearing trait of Simpson washing machines that seems to be intentionally engineered into this crap box.

I vote with my hard earned cash so Simpson you have lost my vote!

Hopeless machine – No wonder this model has been discontinued. We had ours for about 4 years before we had to replace the motherboard. Less than 6 months later the machine's suspension went and the gearbox was spitting oil out which would have cost more than a new machine. Will never buy another Simpson again.

Not a good machine for a family with lots of washing – we have had ours for 3-4 years, it is leaking water from the hoses, the lint filter does not work, the rinse cycle does not properly rinse so our dark clothes come out with powder streaks on them, the whole cycle takes too long so it is is not energy conservative

Not recommened – I have owned this machine for a couple of years. I believe it to be overpriced and cheaply made. The first thing that went wrong, within the first year, were the rods holding the bowl in place so it stays in balance. They literally broke as they are made of plastic. I purchased more rods as I couldn't wait 2 weeks for a service rep to repair it.… Read more

Then the PC Board went and of course I was a month out of warranty so had to pay for that as well. I have to say that since replacing the rods and the pc board that it is working better than when I bought it. Although since changing the pc board there is a lag from switch on to start up. Wash time is quite long, but it does sing to you when it's finished. :/ Keeps playing an annoying melody when it's finished which makes you hang the washing out immediately. Has cost me a bucket since purchase

Worst washing machine ever purchased!!! – I have had this machine for a few years now and after a year and half the washing machine constantly goes out of balance. I have put up with it for so long because repairmen want a fortune to come out. It leaves so much lint on the clothes and it does not wash well either. It is very hard on the clothes, it has ripped a new dress I bought for my daughter. I would never buy Simpson again.
