Regret this washing machine purchase – New machine failed this year. Spin cycle didn’t work. Machine taken away. Apparently lost. 2 months later and $400 spent at laundromat, new machine arrives. 5 months old. E50 error.
Good washing machine – Bought it second hand in 2016 and it's still going strong. The people that moan that it's off balance have probably never had a top loader and also probably wash half loads (it's a 9.5kg machine people). Taking it off eco rinse solves the leftover detergent problem. Got a PU code error today and thinking it stands for pump (seeing as it was full… Read more
of water too) I cleaned out the pump and now it works a treat again. As a stay at home dad I'm greatful that it keeps beeping after a cycle or the washing would never get hanged out. :-D Yes it has some niggles but seriously, what washing machine doesn't. I've had great service from it and it definitely beats doing it by hand like my grandmother used to.
Long-lasting strong washing machine! – I bought this machine before I married 20yrs ago. She’s been a Brilliant machine. Never needed servicing No discolouration Still works well but beginning to sound quite unwell, moaning-and-groaning during loads. Parts no longer available Im upgrading to another Simpson! Very reliable – We're just buying a new machine after about 10 years of faithful service from this machine. I can't believe how many people have had trouble. Ours is rock solid and doesn't move around at all. We've had no trouble until now and it is likely from us overloading it. We were told that it probably wasn't worth fixing due to the age, but will happily be buying Simpson again. Show details
Amazing bit of gear !! – This has been the BEST. Thing EVER. It has been to hell and back with 2 diesel mechanics ,a car mechanic, and a truck driver for boys that's also all ride motor bikes, this poor machine is the best , then be able to still wash my clothes I love it , it's a few years old now and has just started to loose balance from time to time , And then today I come looking for the codes coz it has a E F. Code , Show reply
No problems in 7 years – I bought this machine for the size, as I wanted to be able to wash Queen woollen blankets and quilts. I have also washed King-sized quilts. I have had no problems with the machine, after reading the manual through. Any problems with washing usually has to do with too many clothes placed in the machine at Extra-high, or too many heavy-when-wet… Read more · 1
articles in the bowl - eg thick towels or doonas. This latter once in a while results in a "burning" smell. Not the machine's fault. Easy-to-clean lint filter in the top of the agitator. You don't have to sit on the floor and take it out of the machine's base. No problems with staining or powder on clothes as long as you dissolve the powder first in hot water - as it says in the manual. No problems with tangling as long as you place large items (sheets or towls) in the bowl first. Fairly obvious. Good value for the money. 9.5 kilos of washing. 4 star water rating. Easy to use. Digital display lets you know what the machine is doing. Have just rust-proofed the insides of the outer shell, as the bottom front 4cm was beginning to rust. Probably because of using the "Extra-high" too often. Next time I purchase a new washing machine I'll apply anti-rust paint when I get it.

Regrettable purchase – Too many issues to list over it's 7 year troublesome life, wish had read reviews before purchase, Last and final problem was only slid washer forward to clean behind it and now will only fill, no program display just keeps filling regardless of program selector, won't make same mistake again. Its Ok but stupid – works fine but does some of the most stupid things. When you turn it on you would think its a simple as valve on valve off but it makes all these noises and chugs etc like its performing a water analysis almost like the orange juicer out of the Simpsons. The kicker is at the end of the cycle it beeps and beeps and beeps and beeps. You know how… Read more
they say after a nuclear war the only thing that will survive are the cockroaches but they are wrong in the background if you listen carefully under the rubble you will still hear the beeping of these machines.
A tip don't put the wash on before you go to bed if you want a good nights sleep
What a waste of money - should have read the reviews before purchasing.l – Need to be leveled at almost every wash to stop it moving around the laundry. Leaves powder residue on the wash. I only use Fab/Omo Rarely finishes a full cycle without alarms going off so can't leave machine to wash during work time/over night WasHing linen/towels is a nightmare as it stops mid cycle and I need to re-arrange the wash I have… Read more
replaced the filter basket because it tore along the seams
NOW THE INFORMATION/CYCLE LABELING HAS ALMOST DISAPPEARED - WASHED OFF THE INSTRUCTION PANEL!!!!!
I have been using Hoover/Fisher & Paykel washers for over 45 years - this is the first and last Simpson I will purchase. Should have stuck with tried and proven.
VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS MACHINE.

Worst washer EVA – I've had this for 7 years now, just mind, it's been fixed that many times. Beeps and error codes are always flashing, takes FOREVER to wash, wobbles and is a dam grumpy washer. It's worse than an ariston I had years ago. Terrible, awful piece of whitewate, you should be ashamed of yourself Simpson as my washer Is not. Show details
This is the most useless heap of garbage I've ever owned – This is the most useless heap of garbage I've ever owned. Throughout it's pathetic life it has crashed and wobbled and carried on like a pork chop, beeping whenever it feels the need for attention - regardless of whether it's mid-cycle or end of cycle. it is the worst washing machine we've owned. it is currently stuck part cycle full of water and… Read more
beeping every 30 seconds with some PU message. We have tried numerous settings to get it to work. Finally putting it on rinse & spin to see if we could at least drain. Drain indeed! Water went everywhere except through the outlet hose. Truly the greatest load of rubbish ever made by Simpson. I will not be buying another Simpson washing machine. In April this year we had a technician attend to fix a similar problem and he replaced the suspension rods. 7 months later, deja vu. I'm not even going to get someone out to look at it. I'll be buying another brand, definitely NOT Simpson! Oh, did I mention that when this piece of crud actually works, it feels led to tell me every few freaking minutes when it is finished: like I care! I know when clothes are on. Beep once maybe, but not every few freaking minutes for the rest of freaking eternity!

Useless and a waste of money. Drives me insane – I actually have to hold the agitator while it's spinning. Not just with this model but it seems to be a problem with them all. Otherwise it stops altogether. It's always off balance. It's also slow to wash and can't stop it beeping continuously after each load which means you can't use them at night. Awful things don't buy one. Get another brand Show details

This machine is pure CRAP – Very load, makes weird noises, and gets out of balance daily (where it shakes itself violently and jumps around like a madman. It is like a small child - if you take your eyes off it you are in trouble. You can't risk putting a load on and leaving the house (which we used to be able to do with our previous washer.) Doesn't rinse properly and it… Read more
beeps incessantly - if it manages to complete a cycle. If I could afford it, I would take it to the dump and get another brand washer. The neighbors are annoyed at me because they are annoyed by the beeping also. I swear I will never buy anything with simpson on it again.

Crap – Loud never rinses properly, machine won't drain and spin have to wait and do it desperately lid doesn't lock half the time. Keeps coming up with PU error. Always takes like an hour to do just the wash and rinse. Would like to know how to fix problem if someone could contact me Show details
has done its job for some time now – i would be worn out as well if i had to do the amount of washers by hand it now wont spin dry all else is good error code is ob or 06 not sure which one can enyone tell me whats the problem im quite handy and would like to have a go at it if i could narrow it down i dont want to replace and see method as that can get quite costly Show details
Very disappointed with the Simpson brand – I have purchased Simpson washing machines in the past and always been happy with them. However I purchased the Eziset 950 and it is a disaster. The comments other people have posted state exactly what my machine is doing. Continuous codes appear and you have to manually change to spin to finish the process after the items haven't been washed. I… Read more
have given up the battle and am now looking to purchase another brand. There is obviously a major defect with this model. Simpson, I believe you have a duty of care to assist your customers and replace these machines. This is causing considerable harm to your previously loved brand.

Shocking – My machine is roughly 3 years old and has died , I paid very good money to try and buy the best , but I was advised only the models that were belt driven were any good and mine is not worth fixing , I will never buy a Simpson product again, and the one I bought is know by Electrolux to be defective and has been discontinued , that says a lot to me , I'm disgusted that people can be ripped off by large companies in Australia

Dissapointed – I used to think Simpson was the best brand, now I'm not so sure. My machine takes forever to run a quick wash cycle, like hours! It keeps resetting itself, and makes a god awful noise when draining and spinning.i keep getting EF and PU codes come up and have to turn off machine, leave for 30 minutes then switch to spin drain cycle to finish load off. Can't afford a new machine. Wish I'd kept my twin tub.

Washing Crap Machine – Same problem as most others in out of balance and beeping when stopped. About to dump this one as now will only run for a few minutes and then the screen goes blank and locks lid. No feature other than capacity has been any good. Washing has been poor with powder left and the cloths twisted together after wash.

Terrible – The worst machine I have ever owned. Never gets threw a full wash without some alarm going off. Ezi set pffft nothing easy about it. Do a normal full wash and the efo alarm goes off and dont even try to wash bedding or do a small load because it will alarm atleast 6 times because it goes out of level. Bull – Takes 2 hours to do a load of washing the hot water inlet dose not exists have has to was with cold water only and is so unbalanced it's always stopping hence the 2 hour wash cycle. Not happy, have had enough. Buy a new one ( not a Simpson Electrolux ).
Don't waste your money – This is the worst appliance I have ever had. Always off balance and error codes. Leaves powder on clothes and takes as long as a front loader to wash. I am so disappointed in this after having a Kleenmaid for 25 years. Don't purchase a Simpson as you will totally regret it.

Do not buy – Purchased this machine thinking Simpspn was a good brand but this has been nothing but trouble from day one. As others have stated machine never, ever completes a cycle without beeping and carrying on and needing some intervention. It has never spun dry a load without banging and shaking and requiring you to restart multiple times. Three 38 minute… Read more
quick wash loads took over 4 hours to complete with all the restarts and with two loads I gave up on trying to get them spun dry and hung them out dripping wet. I can't wait to buy a new machine and it definitely will not be a Simpson.
what a piece of crap – We bought this machine new and got an extended warranty thank god , what a piece of crap this machine has been :( it has been fixed so many times and now it has just died again so it's time to bury it at the tip as that's all its good for land fill :(, this machine has been such a disappointment from day 1, now I see it's been discontinued so… Read more
where's a replacement for all the people who bought 1??? I WILL NEVER BUY A SIMPSON WASHER AGAIN

Only solution is to get a different model machine – We've owned our machine since 2012 and like everyone else, we rarely get through a cycle without the machine going out of balance. I tried to solve the problem by retro-fitting trampoline springs and turnbuckles but that has only succeeded in making the machine jump around more and breaking the pathetically weak plastic fittings. We bought ours… Read more

Oh my goodness not just my machine – I have spent the last 3 years thinking it was just my machine doing this. My machine can get stuck on wash rince cycles for hours if Im not listening to it and needs constant rebalancing. I bought my machine new from Andersons at Tweed Heads south and 6 months later they went bust and so did my warrenty. It cost so much to buy I have just put up… Read more

My Simpson is a 22S950L*02 – Have had this machine for a fair while, has been reliable up until about12 months ago keeps going out of balance not just a little I'm talking jumping about the room out. Usually when you lift the lid move the clothes around it would continue and mostly finish the cycle. Now it just won't do one wash without going off so I pulled out the toolbox… Read more
and took a look and it appears that the suspension rods that hold the bowl inn place have pushed through the plastic and the plastic flaps around and that seems to be what courses the problem. I went for a drive to my local garbage tip and found a Simpson machine with Suspension Rods and took them home and found they were the wrong length. So I measured the old ones and cut and welded the other ones together and it works the machine is washing and spinning out without jumping around. Than I went online and found a website were you can buy Simpson parts and I have purchased a set of 4 and I will fit them when they arrive hopefully this week. Now I'm not a rocket scientist but I would have thought that Simpson would make a call and recall all these machines and put in something a little more robust at there expense and maybe they wouldn't have so many bad reviews.
Horrible!!! Big regret – Worst machine I have ever owned. Allways stopping with warnings mostly EFO. Such a pain in the arse. Have owned it for a couple of years and have hated it since buying it. Did a wash last night and cant get the EFO to go away si what should have been an easy 1hr wash turned into an endless wash. Tried to get it working this morning and same thing.… Read more
Thank god they are no longer making these so no one else gets sucked in. If I could afford it I would chuck it away and buy another one. These machines are horrible steer clear. Wish I had read these reviews before I bought mine.
Worst washing machine – The person who designed this washing machine and the person who approved the design obviously have never had to manage a families washing. They both should be named, shamed and then sacked.

Absolute time consuming piece of rubbish – if there was a need for an unbalanced, temperamental, time consuming, migraine inducing appliance this machine would win best appliance of all time . Spent good money got nothing but hard work. I have 5 boys and 1 girl to wash for, I'm once again washing by hand as I can't afford a new machine.
Have had nothing but issues since purchased – Purchased just over 12 months ago, have had constant issues banging and clanging on spin cycles and constant EF error messages. Takes my whole day just to get through a couple of loads of washing and today of all days it decides to up and die completely so had to buy a new machine NOT A SIMPSON will never buy another one of these ever. we paid good money for what is supposed to be a reputable brand. As a working mother of 4 messy boys, I do not have time to be stuffing around with the washing....nor should I have to in a machine that is less than 3;years old!!!!! If I could give half a star I would of. STAY CLEAR - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Now I have to come up with the funds to buy a decent machine that I can rely on.

Buy Something Else ! – Worst washing machine we have ever bought, without a doubt. Goes off cycle at the drop of a hat, leaves clothes with soap powder all over them and clothes are never entirely clean. Pulse machine is just terrible. it - it just doesn't happen. Components are cheap looking - i.e. plastic lid which cannot stand anything resting on top of it without making a cracking sound. Will never buy a Simpson ever again ! Huge let down! – Similar to other reviews, with a bigger family (5) bought the larger machine thinking Simpson was a reliable brand. Same problems almost from day 1. Nightmare since day 1! – I have five children and do many loads of washing a day, purchased this expensive machine with assurances that it was the best....couldn't have been further from the truth.
