cycles already taking a long time! My machine was purchased in October 2016 and just over 2 yrs later, has stopped pumping water out! Highly annoyed and I cant even get someone out for a week to service it..... so how does one wash for a week with 6 people in the house? Also $145 just to have someone look at it.

But my parents said they wanted something very similar to their old machine and were even concerned the new Simpsons was too different to what they were used to.

1 day late - parents very happy, machine running quietly and they were very impressed by a better quality wash than their older machine.

2 weeks later - still smooth sailing, looks like this will be working hard for another 10 years or more.

Also, the old machine just has a blocked water pump, it will get fixed, it will still be used or passed on, it's days are not over ye

Wish i could have my old simpson back – We have always had simpson washing machines well (this is our third) because they lasted so long. I am so disappointed with this new model. specs of tiny brown things on them which i think is coming from these lint filters. I miss the old sock lint collector. And also i agree with others about the length of wash cycles too. Really unhappy with this machine and unsure where to go now as simpson has always been the trusted brand to buy

Not happy at all ..... piece of – Recently did buy this washing machine as I had Simpson previously which lasted 8yrs no problems. This one OMG it sounds like a alien it’s disturbing. even the fast wash cycle is way too long. I live alone and my clothes are not dirty really, just worn once. So to have to wait 44 minutes to do a couple of tops and undies is ridiculous! I am afraid I cant find many pluses here. I am quite upset at this noisy slow machine. My mum too had an old simpson for years..and it was nothing like this. I honestly cant recommend this machine.

Good but not great – I love the size but I have had to stop using powder as even using special cold water powder I was still having powder on the barrel and on my clothes but now I use liquid and its fine. Its only noisey when it gets of balance but overall its a good machine for me.  Show details

great machine – i have 2 of these machines at my hotel they are in used every day as there accommodation at my hotel plus other washing it rinse the clothes to near drying point i would say they are about the best i have had as ther is a lot of room in the tumble for large quilts  Show details

Should have kept my 20 year old washer! – Take your old washer to the rubbish tip I was told. But it's the new washer that deserves the tip! Shortest wash cycle is just under 1hr. is quiet, but I so miss the sound the old machine made as it went about the business of satisfactory laundry duties.

I understand the model is now obsolete and deservedly so....I should have checked with product review website before purchasing-lesson learnt!

On a more positive note I trusted the Simpson Brand and I don't think this model will last as long as the last one so I will be more diligent with the next purchase.

washers on all my taps. They have double checked that my pipe don't vibrate.. and it all comes down to this washing machine! The valves close too fast and this causes the pipes to knock! I can't do my washing anymore late at night cause it wakes my baby up!!!

Do not purchase this machine. Customer service terrible – Purchased machine 19/3/17 and used it the following day. My clothes are destroyed almost $200 worth of work clothing. they will book in a technician to come and have a look at it. You have to be kidding me this machine is 2 days old and they refuse to refund me. Then I was advised that the technician would attend between 8 am and 5pm but they could not tell me which day. This meaning I would have to take time off work to have someone come and look at a brand new machine. I am totally disappointed with this machine and the service. I advise everyone to stay clear of this model. I do intend to seek further advice and believe that this model needs to be discontinued immediately.

Do not buy at any cost – I purchased this machine yesterday and used it today. My clothes are destroyed completely. They came out of the machine looking like rags. The short cycle takes forever and softner not dispensed. It was difficult to tell if clothes were washed well as they looked like rags. Very hesitant to use this machine again. rinse on 'deep' to release the fabric softener. We found that by accident and trial and error. I dont like the length of the wash cycles. Far too long for me. I even set my kitchen timer to the same time and it went off 4 minutes earlier. Somehow the washing machine added time?? Today doing a load, it seemed to take forever, constantly refilling, so i reset to just spin and that took over 20 minutes. I have also never seen any lint on the lint filters. It also makes odd noises so you cant tell what its doing. I regret buying this item and wont recommend it to anyone.

know exactly how long left on the load with the timer, and if time constraints apply you can always select a shorter cycle.

Simpson has always been good brand. The years supply of washing powder could have been easier to get, I age up as it was too hard.

and had a few w. machines in my time...Fisher - quiet as a mouse, efficient enough, Bosch front loader, quiet efficient but died 4 yrs in. Will be putting H.Norman on notice if not happy. Under the White Goods Consumer Act one has the right to excersize a full refund where the customer (if they had disclosed the produce performed like it did after purchase) would not have purchased it, is entitled to a refund! So far this is NOT living up to my expectations. Thought by now, 2017 we would be seeing superior technology going forward but seems to be going backwards!

Doesn't seem clean well – It doesn't clean clothes half as well as my last washing machine- even easy to get out dirt clothes still come out dirty. I'm always disappointed at the clothes line and I always clean the filters. It also beeps and beeps until lid is lifted which drives me nuts. Who designs these things? – This washing machine was gift and total surprise to me, from a wonderful well meaning friend. out of the box, (in case it had to be returned) - but I needed to get to the operating manual. I needed to know how much power it would draw for starters.

It's good points -

Relatively easy to use.

It's large and takes Donnas and blankets.

It's quiet and doesn't use a lot of power.

Has good choice of manual water levels.

The bad points :-

The Eco setting does not wash or rinse well at all - perhaps a very lightly soiled wash.

It does not put enough water in on the Auto setting to give the clothes much room to move in the water.

There is no way of dialing (or pressing) in a timer. e.g. 5 minute wash or 20 minute wash

The lint collector is an absolute joke! I have always had a large amount of lint collected in any washing machine of ever used. I have 9 dogs and 2 horses and always have hairy and linty clothes and tons of dog bedding to wash. That lint filter collects nothing!! I am having to brush the dog blankets and my clothes while they hang on the line. This is a major point for me - while other families it may not effect.
