Great, going strong after 6 years – This machine has been great big upgrade from our 4.5KG Simpson top loader. We normally have it set on cottons 30-40C with quick wash selected, always does a great wash and doesn't form mould in the door seals Show details

E10 error – My simpson SWF10832 machine keeps throwing up E10 error even though the hose is connected and water is flowing in. After several attempts, the machine might work again. anyone has a solution to this?

Regrete – We brought 3 years ago installed by Good Guys it's always move around. We had a technical man look at it a week after we brought he said nothing wrong? This night its shakes so bad we can't use had to switch off. In the Loan 2 bath towel 2 wash cloths and 2 hand towel and 1 other towel. Always had trouble. Have extended warranty.  Show details

Good washing machine – This is the first front loader we bought and I didn't regret it. It uses lot less water and is quieter. The washing cycle is bit longer than the top loader but I usually set the timer on & the load is washed and ready to dry in the morning. It has bigger capacity but takes up less room than my old top loader. One thing you need to make sure is to level the washing machine otherwise it "walks" all over the laundry.  Show details

A good clean but rough – Clothes and nappies come out really clean but it does seem to wear things out faster. The beeps at the end of a cycle are so noisy! I like the basic controls, no flashy screens. The eco settings are good. Cycles tend to be quite long, but there is a quick wash function.  Show details

Great Washing Machine – Bought this washing machine about 3 months ago. Simple to use and has a great 30 minute wash cycle so we save both on water and power. I have had expensive washers in the past but this one beats them all. Clean wash, no fluff or marks on clothing. No mouldy door seals. Awesome wash. Don't listen to others - the wash cycles are simple and easy to… Read more

use. One problem. After 3 months I had an error message come up which wasn't in the handbook - relating to the door lock. I phoned for a service call but after two days for some reason the error message disappeared so I cancelled the service. Cross fingers, the machine is still going strong. For the money, I think it's a great buy compared to others. What's the worst that can happen - as with any washing machine, fridge or dishwasher - it's under warranty if it breaks down. I bought the extended warranty so I'm good for 5 years. Cost me $800 all up including extra 5 year warranty.

Wandering around the laundry – Have just purchased this machine. Put the first load of washing on after using a pocket level to level the machine and have come back to find the washing machine in the middle of the laundry. Having run the machine through a couple of spin cycles can not get the machine to stop moving

Can they fix it? No they can't – I bought a Simpson SWF10761. First 12 months I thought it was the best machine if purchased, but shortly after my love of this machine turned sour. 2 repairs (that I paid for because support was so lacking) and then by the 3 year mark the machine has totally failed.

Was fantastic.....for 4 months – This machine is lovely and quiet, easy to use. some of the settings are a bit long (over one hour for a simple cold wash) but it also has the wonderful child lock feature. Our machine broke down though after only four months. Service had been fairly ordinary. It will be over 10 days without a machine at this stage. Hopefully when they finally fix it it will be a long long life for our machine.

Smart, reliable, efficient. The best buy in the market! – I got this machine around 18 months ago. Yesterday I recommended this model to my friend and that triggered me to write this review. I must admit that I am in love with this machine ;-) We put usually 1-2 load everyday. It does job perfectly even after 18 months. Very quiet and provides loads of programming options (all optional). 1) The… Read more

rinse-hold option is of great help when I am not around to take out closed immediately after washing is completed. The night-cycle option is great for quiet sleep while clothes are being washed for you :)

2) The pre-wash and rinse-plus are great too. If my kids clothes are too dirty I use pre-wash and use rinse-plus to make sure there is no dirt/soap residue on my kids clothing.

3) Quick wash option is excellent for not so dirty clothes.

4) It also provides options for rinse-only, spin-only etc.

5) Delay start is another brilliant option for busy, on the move parents.

It also washes our large and heavy king size blanket and quilt without any fuss.

Overall, this is just a perfect machine that one needs and that too in budget. I paid only $599/- Highly recommended.

Don't waste your money for a brand name. Simpson is equally good/better than those expensive brands.

Exploding sides of washing machine after less than 8 months – I have loved this machine until this week when I have put on a load of towels (3 large towels and 4 tea towels). The machine on the spin cycle suddenly made a huge banging sound that literally shook the windows and doors on my house. It came out of its recess and upon investigation when we tried to push it back in the drum has damaged the sides… Read more

and dented the external metal panels outwards so badly that the machine cannot be pushed back in place.

Disappointed my new front loader lasted only 13 months – we bought our washing machine only 13months ago, and I loved it, until with my usual weekly load of towels, (6), it unbalanced badly and now has to have new shock absorbers, as it bounces all over the place on the final spin. We switch it off when it starts that, and hang up the load to dry. We bought this size machine so we could do all of our… Read more

towels in one load, and I could wash my woollen blankets, doonas etc. The parts had to come from Adelaide so going to be a 2 week wait to be fixed. I was told this is a common fault with this machine. We hope this doesn't mean the same thing will happen again.

Seems to be good – We purchased this machine last month after having a whirlpool top loader for the last 10 years, the only reason we got the machine was due to the whirlpool not fitting in our new house. The machine has been good and washes well, we find the quick wash option on cotton is fine for us on cold only (55 minutes), spin speed comes out at a 1000 rpm and… Read more

is a lot dryer than the old whirlpool, we are a family of five and it seems to be doing the job with no noise issues.

we payed $499 on special at Bing Lee

Does the job well – Replaces a 7kg Simpson 45s710e Front Loader. Has more wash programs and features, child lock, and a delayed start. Extra 1kg capacity is noticeable. Overall it suits my needs and does what it has to do.

So far its great – Purchased this machine last month. I use it everyday. Machine runs quiet. The spin is pretty good, much better than my old top loader. The clothes/towels come out fresh and much cleaner. I like the wash options. Its easy to use. The delay start function is really handy, will also help with energy bill as I set it to wash during offpeak times.… Read more

I have used the Gentle, Cotton and Synthetic washes and different temperatures. Haven't used the quick wash yet. '

Instruction manual easy to understand.

Purchased for $589

Leading brand, great price and very good wash results – Apart from the European MADE brands that will cost far more the rest are all pretty much the same so don't get hung up about which one. Had a LG 7.5 kg that broke down twice in just under 6 years so out it went. So thought why not try one of the most trusted names in Simpson (really Electrolux). Just about everyone I know has had a brand that has… Read more

only lasted about as long as my old LG if not less, that includes Samsung and Bosch (Asian made). I am not really expecting this to last any longer but would love to be wrong.

We are a family of 5 and wash at least 1-2 loads a day so 8 kg was the way to go. So far it has worked perfectly and have noticed better wash results and quieter operation than my previous more expensive LG. The machine has all the necessary functions and washing times from 20 minutes to a few hours which beats my previous LG. It is also very easy to use which is great. 1000 RPM max spin seems to do the trick as well.

So far we are very happy with our purchase but it has only been a few weeks. Why wouldn't we be happy! We paid only $575 from The Good Guys and the Simpson hasn't missed a beat and most importantly washes clothes perfectly and quietly.

Good basic unit – I have had this machine for a month now. At $599, it was half the price of the 16 year old Whirlpool it replaced. Made in Thailand. I usually only wash in Cold water so I can live with the Cold input only. Most of the new washers are like this now. The machine is basic but has a few tricks and and a good digital count down timer. I mostly use the… Read more

quick wash which takes just under 45 mins. It washes my cloths well and may be slightly louder than my previous machine but not much. I am happy so far. Max Spin Speed is only 1000 but still does a good job getting the water out of the cloths. Inexpensive with good features. Max Spin Speed is only 1000.

So far so good – Got this machine from Harvey Norman for $599 about 3 weeks ago. My wife washes at least 2 loads a day and so far this machine has performed well. It has,as large a drum as our recently failed (6 years old) 7.5 kg LG front loader which was purchased for $1600 back in 2008. I was prepared to spend as much again, but after much research into the… Read more ·  4

different brand's and models online ,in store and of course on "Product review", I have come to the conclusion that they are ALL Built as poorly as each other and if something dose go wrong with any brand or model , a poor customer service experience seems to be the norm.

If we get 4 or 5 years trouble free use out of this machine, I'll consider it money well spent.

In the pursuit of Price points, Multi functions, and Energy/Water star ratings almost no Brand of Washing machine

you buy today is going to to last the 10 to 15 year norm of the more basic and robustly designed Washing machines of old.

Don't get conned by brand, All of these machines are made in the same handful of factories in the developing world ,in fact this model is identical mechanically to the Electrolux being sold along side it for 3 to 400 dollars more.

I'll post again in a year or two, when this model is probably not even available any more.

Be Good Price, Washes cloths well Cold water inlet only requiring Element heating of water (Not my cheaper gas hot water supply)
