Only Just got it But....
Bought this machine because ...Its only 1 of 2 you can buy now (aside from speed queen) that have agitator in the bowl.
I don't like the ones with no agitator as they tangle your clothes too much and pull threads on your towels
After setting it up The first thing I noticed is that once you select a cycle the DAMM Lid locks and will not open unless you turn off the power at the wall.. It has NO Power button the machine itself.
So...if you want to add something to the wash just after starting ...Forget it. Locked Lid. Surely this is a sa...
Built in obsolescence
We bought this 2 years ago, we were initially very happy with it, it ran well, was quiet and the timer function saved us time by loading it the night before and hanging out the first load in the morning.
After 18 months it started leaking, we investigated and found the hose between the soap box and inlet was rubbing and now leaking water.
I was replaced under warranty but now just out of warranty the hose is leaking again, very common fault, pretty obvious by it's placement that this would happen.
The new hose is about $64 but it's an absolute ...
Made to only last past the Warranty Period
Good while it worked but of course as with all Electrolux washers it only lasts to just after the manufacturers warranty and then dies.
This is the 4th Simpson 10kg washer we have had and rarely do they last more than 2 years. This one started to leak a few months ago and then would not wash small loads before coming severely unbalanced in spin. Finally the drain pump stopped working and that was it. Luckily I always pay for extended warranty and we ended up with a store credit in lieu of getting another piece of junk as a replacement. Avoid a...t all costs if you are a large family who need to wash a few loads a day. Purchased in May 2018 at Domayne NSW, West Gosford for $1,100.00. Further Update The Electrolux 6.5kg dryer we bought at exactly same time has also just expired a few months after warranty period - here they are both sadly waiting to be dumped. Luckinly we had store credit from the extended warranty to pay for new dryer but we are stillout of pocket $1400 for new washer we had to buy (LG 14kg top loader). Have now gone with Fisher and Paykal Dryer - fingers crossed they last longer.

Just coming up to 2 years owing .
Started the process of warranty today. I want a store credit . I don’t want another machine . Sour taste in my mouth now!!!
Worked well for first 12m if that.
Then the problems begin!!
Locks me out .
Spins it self out of balance
If I do more then 3 loads a day it confuses itself from hard labour.
E10 error when nothing blocked .
Doesn’t wash properly .
Water sensor must faulty because it doesn’t even come close to covering clothes ....
Mega problems with this machine after 1 year...don't purchase...many error messages on screen from E10 to E80 and lid locking with clothes in it! Service to home slow and unhelpful, waited 5 days for replacement baud. Electronic bauds replaced twice but had to pay for call out fee and now another similar issue. NOT HAPPY and won't purchase ever again.

Both my partner and I are dissatisfied.
I wrote a review of my purchase Simpson 10 kg washer 3 weeks ago after initial first couple of loads. Since then.....
1/ Auto setting water level is useless, I paused and checked the water level during cycle, the level does not cover washing. When I tried to add extra water...you can't. Previous machines allowed opportunity to do this with a dial, pause add an item etc, press start, the machine would add extra water, resume cycle. So, for the first time ever after years of Simpson machines, ended up with dirt residue streaks through my work cl...
It’s a piece of cr*p
I have owned 3 Simpson top loader washing machines, the current one I purchased only a few months ago.
Each one has lasted around 10 years, after which time, something goes wrong and I just get a new one of the same capacity (6 kg).
The last two machines have been great hard wearing work horses that just keep on washing.
This new one is a piece of crap. It’s ok to handle socks and light weight clothing, but if I put anything heavier in like, say, a towel or a doona cover, it keeps stopping throughout the spin cycle and tells me the load is ...unbalanced. This is very annoying and frustrating and several times I’ve just hung washing out that’s not even been spinned off. It’s impossible to balance the load to the machine’s satisfaction. This is my last Simpson. Don’t buy one, they have gone to the dogs. All my ratings on this machine are a 1 and if I could give it a negative score I would as it grates on my sanity.
Simpson Top Loader Washing Machine 12kg
We bought the 12kg Simpson washing machine from Good Guys Penrith NSW. Excellent washing machine. Great for the bigger loads of washing. Service great from the shop and an excellent delivery. 100% recommend.
Purchased in June 2020 for A$1,100.00.
Faulty heap of ....
It does wash clothes although it is extremely noisy and in the last 2 years I have had it I have had the tub supply water hose replaced 3 times and according to Harvey Norman anything that needs to be replaced 3 times is classed as a major failure and should be replaced with a new one but no being 2 months out of warranty Electrolux/Simpson replaced the part for free but won’t replace the faulty machine only a matter of time before it happens again
Unhappy customer SWT 1043
I hate this washing machine worst machine I have ever had, starts the minute you turn it on with no water in the machine, clothes come out dirty and smelly still. Doesn't do what a washing machine should do.
Purchased for A$1,200.00.
Great machine washes slow and gentle on clothes
Great value for money easy to use technology great looking machine slow and gentle on the cloths easy to clean quiet operations i cant fault it stick with the chosen cycles im very happy with my simpson
Washing machine was so good although within a year it started flooding out the bottom ahhhh not sure how much it will cost to fix hopefully not an arm or out to the tip with that one
Dreadful washing machine
This is such a bad washing machine and disappointing to write this as always had this brand and been very happy. It would seem that the quality is just not there anymore. Have had several service calls to the house and even taken to the warehouse for repair. Not only returned scratched in many places but still have very bad noise and don't even get me started on the lint collector (does not work). Sadly have to say look at other brands for washing machines as you will be disappointed if you purchase this one. Not happy!!
Purchased in April 2018.
Cheap hoses - not made to last
Ever since having this machine, it never did a particularly great job at washing clothes. One month after the 2 year warranty ended, machine started leaking enormous amounts of water from underneath at the start of the cycle while filling water into the machine. A broken hose leaking inside the machine was found to be the cause. Cheap nasty quality. Avoid as the hose isn't made to last - could they make it any thinner?

End of wash buzzer not audible, need to buy a kitchen timer.
After reviewing a number of washing machines we opted for the Simpson SWT1043 10kg. Price per features seemed good. Whilst overall this is a good machine there are a couple of really annoying issues. The main issue is the end of wash buzzer....... You almost need to have your ear against the machine to hear the buzzer when the wash is finished. The manual says the end of cycle buzzer is factory set and cannot be altered....well the factory need to adjust this in the initial stage, so that the buzzer is audible. The only way to know the wash ha...s finished is to set a timer on your mobile phone or set a kitchen timer. The number of times I have relied on continual checking only to remember 2hours later that I still haven't hung out the wash, is very annoying. We purchased the 10kg machine as we have large wash loads, but this does not hold as many clothes as our previous 9.5kg Simpson did. We wanted to support any company that still manufactures in Australia, however Simpson need to address the buzzer issue. We did receive an email from the company following a warranty issue, asking if we wanted to speak with a company representative, I stated yes but did not get a follow up email. Come on Simpson.....make your company great again.

Simple to use but a great top load washer!
I bought this top Load washing machine SWT1043 2 years ago in Bing Lee. Until now it never let me down. It washes all types of clothes from my working, sensitive, delicate to simple clothes. Its a 10kg one so even my Queen size heavy bedding it is giving me good results. I am satisfied with the water rating and it has a product feature called Active Boost wash system that uses less amount of water and is more energy efficient during th washing process. I am satisfied with the cycle time feature, as well. My advise to my fellow consumer is that read the manual well and follow the advises on how to maintain a product. I recommend this top load washer.

Large, Efficient, Easy to use
I got this washing machine for my parents as there's had blown up.
It was a massive improvement from the last one (size wise and efficiency)
It has an amazing water rating and consumes very little power.
The size of the machine being 10KG allows us to fill the machine with 10KG of washing, this has cut our washes per week down by almost half !
The only issue I have with it is, the sound output, it isnt as quiet as the last one, however you get used to the noise, and the agitator is a bit large, I would've liked it if it didn't have one.
Top loads for a top wash !
Wonderful machine with great wash results no matter how light or heavy the load. Have never had to rewash one item ever. It handles soft wash to heavy bedding. Washes & rinses perfectly. Many choices of cycles with easy to use settings.

My washing machine Is not displaying’END’ when cycle is finished, is stuck on same cycle 1hr 10.
Display screen shows ‘E80
Hi Marsha, this is the only help I can offer. I don't work for Electrolux, I have recently purchased this machine after owning many great Simpson washers through the years. After using this machine for a few months now, one thing becomes clearly apparent. Whomever designed this latest model machine, has never washed their own clothes. I notified Simpson their review site was not functioning months ago....seems they can't even fix that.
My suggestion is you contact Sylvia Jersek 1300 365 305 or email@example.com
Why does your Tasmanian Service Agent "The Appliance Surgeon" tell me to avoid AUTO settings and use manual settings to get the water levels right? Surely I have the right to use the 20 minute or 45 minute cycle instead of waiting 1-1.5 hours for the longer settings? The water level sensor is faulty and 5 months later we are still waiting for it to be fixed - something the service agent is very rude about and has been reported to Fair Trade/ Consumer Affairs and Harvey Norman. What is the use of having warranty and product care if a repair company refuse to fix it?
I posted a review on a 10kg Simpson I had purchased. I'm not an employee associated with Simpson or Electrolux otherwise. This would have been a great machine, the previous pedigree on this machine goes back years and is second to none......then.... they introduce unnecessary and unwarranted nuisance technology, the only purpose of which is to drive owners crazy.
