Absolute Rubbish. Only 3 years of use and its off to the tip. Shame on you Simpson.
We purchased this washing machine in good faith, may 2020 as our two previous simpson washing machines lasted 14 years each. We have a surge protector fitted to the outlet and wash a few loads each week.
We started getting a sandy grit type material through our wash after about two years of use. We'd wash the load again and it was better, but would need to be shaken out to get rid of it. That seemed to settle down after a while.
Just recently an E50 code came up and upon turning it off and restarting it the code came back, again and again. "M

Built not to last
We bought a 8 kg Simpson toploader washing machine. Washed Ok for the first year, then started to get imbalance problems and with the control panel. It finally stopped working shortly afterwards. A repair man was sent out to repair under warranty. The machine became increasingly imbalanced again. Just after 3 years, the machine sounds like a plane taking off on spin, with loud grinding noises and leaks water from the bottom. Machine is now unusable. Worst $800 we paid for a washing machine.

simpsoN WASHING MACHINE IS TERRIBLE
I bought it 6years ago in newzealand and worked fine but after several using this, its stored in the garage. Recently I had a tenant and I let her use it. But suddenly the power wont turn on after it had been used for 10days. I called the technician to fix it because this machine is near brand new that is too good that I give it up. Being checked by technician, he said he had to replace the whole control panel that costs me $250. That made me really upset. How come near brand new machine to be out of order like this? Never buy simpson appliances also they dont run customer service center. When I emailed them, my enquires went to 3rd party repair center. What's such a ripping off?

Never buy a Simpson washing machine
I bought a 10kg top loader SWT1043 beginning of December last year. I started having problems with it in February. It would start filling up with water then it would stop before it had filled and it would start washing with no water in it. The technician came out and replaced the sensor valve. That night I put a load of washing on It did the same thing. Contacted them again. Wasn’t impressed their customer service is disgraceful. Took 2 weeks before I managed to organise for them to come out again. This CD time they replaced the sam
... Read moree valve and the main control board. 2 days later I put a medium load on. Luckily I stayed with the machine. It was taking way too long for it to fill a medium load. So I paused the cycle and opened it to check. The water level was that high it was only 2 millimeters from overflowing. I contacted them for a third time. I was informed that they were going to come out a third time to fix it. Told them that isn’t possible as I had bought another washing machine and the Simpson was in my lounge room. But they insisted on coming out. Eventually they agreed to give me a refund instead of a store credit. From when it first broke down until today it has taken almost 3 months to get a resolution.Purchased in for $995.

Perfect Family Washing Machine
The quick 20 minute cycle is a fantastic feature especially if you want to freshen up clothing. The auto water level saves time and money adjusting to only what is required. Daily wash 45 minute cycle is my go to selection.

E50 motor error
E50 motor error, 13 months old, mild use, purchased from The Good Guys. Waiting 3 weeks for the tech who waits for parts and motivation. Very very disappointed, for the price. Will not buy again. Simpson / Electrolux offer me a number to discuss, which is missing a digit; then asks me to EMail. 2nd rate build, 3rd rate service, 4th rate motivation. No care, no responsibility. We will be boycotting Simpson / Electrolux for the remainder of our electrical lives. We lost a Grand in good faith; save yours-

Horrible! Motor gone within 2 years!
I've always stood by Simpson as a brand, not anymore! Horrible machine since the moment we purchased it. Loud, takes forever to fill up the drum and then starts leaking water, so repair done to the machine within the 1st year of purchase. Starts leaking water again, not even into the 2nd year of purchase! 3 months past 2 year warranty E50 message pops up! Motor has gone and smells like burning mechanicals. So disappointed in this machine, $719 for this washer for it to not even last 2 years of use. Ridiculous. Never buying Electrolux products again.

I should have done my research
I just bought my machine, first load and already not user friendly. I can't open the lid to add any items. It won't let me set the water level. It makes a "hissing" noise while washing. It takes so much longer to finish the wash. It won't let me set the water temperature. I always had a Simpson and the older models were so much better.
So disappointed with Simpson and Electrolux. I don't want the machine to tell me what to do. That is my job.

My most hated appliance in my home
I bought this machine on the advice of the salesperson and to be fair I have not had a single mechanical issue with it HOWEVER it is the least user friendly machine I have ever used. 1) For me, the child lock system in a huge issue. I can not disengage it and in a household of DINKS its a pointless feature. It's very slow to respond when you want to add another item to the load. 2) The water takes so long to actually get into the machine that I end up using a bucket and the laundry sink tap to hurry it along. If you pre spray a stai

There is no way to tell what part of the cycle the machine is up to- so if you want to add a hand washed item near the end to just go through the spin portion, then you would have no idea when that moment is. 4) The fabric conditioner dispenser has never worked from day 1. All the softened is still in the dispenser at the end of any cycle - and because you don't know which part of the cycle the machine is on, you can not judge a time to add in manually. 5) I clean the little lint collection bag after each wash but its very difficult to remove the built up grime in the white plastic agitator without resorting to a long handles bottle washer. The SWT043 has a dozen little idiosyncrasies that are such a daily frustration that sometimes I wish it would just break so I could justify buying another brand.Find out how Simpson SWT1043 compares to other Top Loading Washing Machines

Lemon of a washing machine
We bought this washing machine in May 2018 because we have had Simpson before and they were reliable. This one is just a nightmare. It sounds like someone is playing the drums in there when its on, we made a warranty claim in April 2020 and the service man said it was faulty from manufacture. He replaced 90% of the inner workings of the machine. Now its making the same noise only this time when we called about the warranty, it doesn't cover the replaced parts.

Where do I start - I don’t actually think it ever washed clothes that well to begin with butttt. Faults !!! Omg. Just before it turned 2 the good problems started . E10 no water and also thinks the lid is locked . It’s getting water it’s got all it needs it just is a lemon of a machine . Service agent came out and couldn’t find anything wrong - surprise surprise . I’m now down to 1 setting on warm water as it’s the only way it will work. And if you use more then 3 times in a day it goes on strike for hard labor . Service agent is coming out again - which I don’t see the point because clearly the machine is a lemon I want my money back so I can go elsewhere !!! Do your self a favor and don’t buy!!!
