Rubbish

This would have to be the worst washing machine l have ever had. When you put the water cycle on Auto sometimes it does not even cover the clothes and other times the water goes way over the top. The gentle or hand wash cycle is no more gentle than the normal wash cycle. We have had this machine maybe 3.5 years and itis now making a slapping noise on the spin and is leaving flake like brown pieces on the white items even though the filter is always cleaned. Do not waste your money on this Machine. Show details

I Didn't like this Washing machine

I bought this for my 95yr old aunty. The controls looked simple and it has a lint filter and agitator. It Just turned 1 year old now. It is mostly used for regular Washing. It wasn't suitable and we both disliked it. Fisher and Paykal were great. They replaced it for one with an agitator. Very happy with the new 8.5 kg and the Service. Show details

absolute rubbish

I purchased the Simpson as it was the only machine on the shop floor that I could have on that day (February 2022). I expected to get better service out of it but no, 3 weeks ago the thing would not work, could not press any of the buttons. It took ages to get onto the right people to deal with and have not heard anything since, only an answer to my emails to the service people who told me that they were waiting on parts and would be in touch. They have not been out to see what the problem is so how can they order parts, or is it a common error with the machine, in which case after only 12 months is not a good sign. Not happy.

LId error

Lid error not able to use machine? Machine did not work well even when running.
After 1 and a half years started getting a Ld error if machine was turned off overnight seemed to go away error. But not now 4 weeks Ld error as soon as you go to any cycle.
Was not aware it had a 2 year warranty it is now 3 years and 5 months old and Electrulux does not want to know. Worse machine I have ever owned. Show details

Pipework wrecker

The filling cycle on this machine is terrible having caused quite savage water hammers from first use. We installed water hammer arrestors but the machine still manages to cause hammering so we now have got to the stage of bucketing water into the machine at the start of each load. We will be purchasing another machine as soon as we can afford to but it certainly will NOT be a Simpson.

Washing Machine too many issues

Noisy, water level issue. .moves even though the clothes are loaded evenly and the floor is level. Latest issue: lid has cracked. Such a poor quality product.

Awaiting call from Electrolux technician to come out and assess the lid!

Promises much and delivers less

Purchased new about 2 weeks ago. The wife wanted a top loader. The machine presents as if there are multiple program choices so you can choose water level, water temperature, duration of wash, spin rpm and a separate button for “Time Adjust”. However if you choose a particular cycle the machine dictates most of the rest eg; Quick 20 doesn’t allow you to choose a water level to save water, it just does it’s own thing. Same for most other cycles which cannot be adjusted. The most ridiculous to us is the “Time Adjust” button. It only gives a 10 minute range in two steps of 5 minutes each. So if you want to select the Bedding cycle you cannot adjust the very long program nor the water level. Useless!!

Buyer Beware

Very disappointed with this machine purchased 6 months ago, it's extremely noisy , the water levels are ridiculous, even on a delicate cycle the wash comes out all tangled up, so upsetting . I'm not a fan of this machine at all. Show details

Very dissatisfied

Machine leaves excessive amounts of lint on clothing. Cleaning the lint catcher awkward and takes time with lots of water to rinse it out. Difficult to unclog and perform task with arthritic hands. False water saving. Show details

Machine cycle has started to take longer than normal, sometimes up to 2 hours. Just looking for what may be causing this. Thanks

Just a guess Greg but maybe the timer is getting stuck, 2 hrs is way to long.

I have a Simpson SWT8043, about 2years old. I don`t really have dirty clothes and have a lot of whites but after every wash the machine is full of tiny bits. Yes I clean the filter after every wash. has a seal perished? if so which one?
