Never buy another one – Very unhappy with this machine does not wash cloths, has dry spots on all big items have tried every thing nothing works. the Lid breaking after a year of ownership and 2 loads a week adds to the unhappiness of ownership.

email simpson on the 28th asking for advice, I even get a reply to say I would hear from them in 2 business days well it is now the 8th of march and still waiting for a reply.So I thought i would give them a call on the 1300 number. Fisrt of all I had to wait for 23 minutes on hold when the lady came on the phone her reply was she had no idea about the machine. I thought this was a customer service line. Did not know who I could talk to about the machine. Then it was 8 minutes on hold so she could find someone in my area to call. Needless to say I hung up from waiting so long. Conclusion would never buy a simpson product again due to the fact that they do not care about customers at all.

Simpson water level – What a joke.how can you wash cloths when they are not in the water.Simpson fix my machine.I have rang but no satisfaction. I bought it in good faith and for the features it had.I add water every time i watch otherwise the cloths are not clean and have marks on them.

Hmmm now im worried! – Just brought the 9.5kg machine yday now i am worried! Its noisy,takes a long time to go through cycle & i cant seem to find a delayed start setting that i usually preset before going to work.during the wash cycle it sounded very loud and quite tinny - doesnt sound like a quality machine at all.think we may have made a mistake getting this one

I hand wash clothes better than this machine ! – My Kleenmaid machine stopped working and was going to cost too much to repair so it was time for a new machine. My kids sports clothes come out after a "heavy duty" wash how I put them In the machine that's even after treating them with pre stain remover. The "Eco" rinse mode is indeed Eco. Uses very little to no water. I still have detergent on my clothes at the end of cycle if I use this.

This machine is also very noisy. Sounds like it's going to take off when in spin cycle and that's only at 850 rpm. I would not recommend this machine to anyone!

Run as fast as your legs will carry you – An absolute piece of garbage! Crook P.C.B, BAD SUSPENSION, BAD LID, FAULTY TIME, FAULTY WATER LEVEL. The worst part is i don't even own a boat. If i did i have a ready made anchor. Badly designed suspension, weak springs with poor quality plastic capping for rated loads. Low water levels leaving soap marks, causing electrical overload on components, Lid very heavy with poorly designed pivot pins. I could go on and on!!!

Too slow and display inaccurate – Just purchased the 8.5kg top loader because my mum has one and it had all the features I wanted. Hers is about 4years old and all those features no longer exist. To do a normal wash the timer tells me 56 minutes but it always takes about 75 minutes. A fast wash is 2 minutes quicker. To drain and spin some clothes takes 25 minutes. Ridiculous. … Read more

Their old machines drain and spin in 9 minutes and you can do a 30 minute wash. I emailed Simpson 3 times and no response, then rang and all the lady on the phone would say is that she wasn't a technician and couldn't answer my questions. I eventually had a technician sent out and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I went back to where I bought my machine and checked the times on their machine and they were a bit different with the fast wash being 12 minutes quicker than a regular wash. Great machine – Great machine - washes well and has been mostly reliable over the last 3 years. Used 1-2 times per day. Large size is great was washing doona's and large items. only cover the cost of parts - not labour. The issue seems to be that the lid is quite heavy, and with the soft close function the weight of the lid is transferred back to a very small area of the hinge. I fixed the broken hinge and braced it, and removed the soft close springs and the lid has been fine since.

Automatic water level is great for saving water, and the lint filter means that the lint doesn't end up on our clothes like our old F&P used to. Washes better than our old F&P as well.

I like the fact that the end of cycle beep keeps reminding you so the load isn't forgotten.

It would be nice if the delay end was longer than 8 hours though. This isn't long enough for an overnight delay as the machine starts it's cycle to finish by the 8 hours - not start after 8 hours.

The rinse and spin cycle does take a surprising 45mins though.

Would buy again !

Cant believe that so many people have similar issues, water levels, white scum marks on clothes – Now just 3 months out of warranty the error code keeps telling us the hose is blocked ...obviously another fault in the computer pad. we have the back of the machine so we can keep it monitored ... No blockage yet. Never again will I buy a Simpson thought I was buying a trusted product and brand.

EZI Set Top Load Washer 9.5 totally useless - will never buy the brand again – About 2yrs ago we planned to update our old Simpson Ezi set 750 (its about 6years old now) because the newer model looked so good. NOT HAPPY – I totally agree with Lynn10 no matter what size load we do there is never enough water in the machine to wash the clothes proplery.I just dont understand how Simpson can think the clothes can wash when they are sitting out of the water For the price we paid i feel so ripped off. Rubbish what more can i say – Do Not buy this machine. It simply does not wash your clothes properly. I was replacing a reliable 20 year old Simpson. I hate it so much. Water Level – My machine is 3 months old and we couldn't understand why our clothes weren't washing properly, but have just realised the water is not filling over the clothes. I know it says automatic water level, but is there any way to fix this as its brand bloody new. The water should be filling above the clothes? them to arrive in the country. After complaining to Simpson, they replaced our SWT954 to the SWT951, but this machine has the same lid. Now 11 months later, same issue, hinge broken on lid. Once again there spare parts suppler has nill stock. Again after an argument with Simpson, they have replaced the machine again with another SWT951, this machine has the same lid, so I'm expecting this one to snap, some time with in the next twelve months. This appears to be a common fault with this machine, Simpson need to strengthen the hinges and perform a product recall. but i don't hold my breath. This machine performs as well as the other top loaders in the simpson range, Leaves lint over clothes, no matter what cycle you choose, especially black items. Had to switch to Liquid over power to get it to dissolve properly. Rinse / spin cycle on its own takes way too long. For the high price you pay its certainly no value for money. Don't do it! – I hate this machine. I bought it because we had a Simpson forever. It beeps all the time gives error messages with nearly every wash. Clothes come out with actual dirt on them. So bad. iron and I've never ironed much at all.I tried reducing the spin cycle to 600..just as bad.

Then you have to contend with all the powder stains on the clothes..yes we know to only use a little and front loader(for a top loading machine too,but it's a catch 22 when the clothes come out worse than when they went in.

I can actually say that the previous machine we had that was 15 years old,was a million times better,even on it's last leg!

As for water saving,I don't consider having to wash the same load twice water saving.

This is a product that should not be sold and I will be taking this further. The clothes dry fast after they have had the rubbish spun out of them on 800 spin cycle

Just what we wanted – This is larger capacity than originally intended but due to the ability to manually adjust water levels it has more flexibility. Simple controls are a bonus and instructions are easy to understand. Our first wash was a dream and the clothes came out fully cleaned which is after all the aim!
