Sirius SL906EM-L 520 (52 cm)

Functionality and good looks at it's best! – I chose this rangehood for my new kitchen because it looks so neat and tidy. The light is really bright and the exhaust fan very quite. I am using it over an inducton cooktop and it works brilliantly!

Very poor performance – SL906EML520 installed in my brand new kitchen with a SEM1 motor. About 4m ducting from rangehood to motor, then 1m to the exhaust vent. Metal ducting supplied by kitchen builder, looks identical to Sirius ducting on their website. Used in conjunction with a Neff induction cooktop Pros: fairly quiet, not much difference in volume between speed 1 and 4. Light is very good.

Cons: simply doesn't move a lot of air. Barely holds up a sheet of paper at full speed. Never captures all of the smoke/steam at light cooking loads, and at heavy loads seems like it doesn't catch any. Performance is only marginally better than my old recirculating unit.

Very disappointed with this rangehood - we dreamed of being able to fry up a storm in our new kitchen, but it looks like we now have to look into an outdoor bbq as frying up even 2 small steaks fills the whole house with smoke.

Great Range Hood – Great product, Very Quiet, Very powerful. Modern design, great LED lighting. Love the fact we can put the vents in the dishwasher to clean them. It really helped us decide which unit to get by seeing them all on display at Harvey Norman. Can't wait to get it installed. Only down side might be that it doesn't look like we would be able to replace the light bulbs our self.

Might have to get a tech to pull it apart... Although LED's do have a longer life span usually.
