Horrible experience – I bought this @ Harvey Norman Malaga (Paid extra for Aftercare for 5 yrs) and after 6 months, the motor stopped working . I called the technician, waited until 6pm for him to say it was an installation problem and gave me an Invoice of $329 plus and told me I needed to replace the rangehood. Show details
Don't waste your money buying this product – Purchased 6 Jan 2018, installed 27 April 2018, Ours lasted nearly 4 years. Arisit failed to support this product. At $300 per year, this product is FAIL!FAIL!FAIL. When this product was purchased, we also purchased the correct ducting system, which apparently improved the warranty. Did us no good. Show details
Quality Product – I purchased this to replace an old slide out rangehood that really wasn't working very well. Pulling this out of the box for the first time you can see and feel the build quality which is exceptional. Performance matches the build quality and far exceeds what I had previously. Very is to remove and clean the filters and when using it it is relatively quiet. Show details
I expected the best, I got average – I bought this rangehood from Winning Appliances around a year ago. I was prepared to pay more for a good product, I chose it after reading a review from Choice. It's an elegant range hood, the filter is easy to clean in the dishwasher, but the air flow only clears the steam from the back burners, no much is cleared from the front, as a result the cupboard above the rangehood is covered in fat droplets Show details
Major Problem with Sirius Ducting Kit - rainwater ingress & non-existent after sales support – UPDATE 09/20: The Sirius Team have sent their own nominated installer to look at the issue and identified some areas that were rectified. room for improvement with the ducting kit/installation instructions.
Purchased a Sirius L520 Rangehood and genuine Sirius Roof Ducting Kit 14 months ago. Every time it rains our cooktop is saturated with water coming through the motor unit of the Rangehood. Our installer has come out 3 times and all he can ascertain is that water is coming through the top of the roof ducting kit and down into the rangehood. He has done everything he can to seal it so it has nothing to do with the installation. The Sirius support team have been very slow to respond and are now hiding behind COVID-19 restrictions by not taking calls or responding to emails at all! The only thing they have done when we initially contacted them is supply us with longer ducting and a different cap which was the wrong diameter for the tube they supplied. Regardless, we continue to have a water feature in our new kitchen every time it rains! Sirius has not responded to our most recent attempt at contacting them. Based on the after sales support and lack of response, I would not recommend this product at all!
To be installed soon Kitchen replacement – Salesman at Harvey Norman showed us performance of other range hoods. This one was one of the quietest but is designed to perform with induction hot plates. Not many range hoods are suited to induction hotplates due to induction rain. I can also wash the vents in the dishwasher to keep them clean. Have seen great reviews on this product and it will be installed soon in our new kitchen. Show details
Powerful - Well Built - Great LED – Have just purchased this range hood. The LED light bar is awesome. Daylight intensity that provides an even coverage over the cooking surface.
The unit looks to be well built and give confidence it will stand the test of time.
One area where there could be improvement is the installation instructions. These are terrible at best. Please do everybody a favour and re-work the installation instructions into something useful.
Great rangehood - effective, quiet and easy to clean – I love it - it's so effective as an exhaust, even with all cooktop burners being used at once. It removes all fatty frying steam really effectively, the cabinets above my cooktop are remaining clean and non greasy. compared to the crap rangehoods I've had in the past. The highest setting is obviously louder but really powerful and great for wok frying etc. I like the light which I use all the time. The buttons are very easy to access and use. I love the button that lets the fan remain on for 10mins and then turn off automatically. I like the look of the baffles, and the fact that they are really easy to wipe clean, and remove and wash, and I wash them by hand in the sink (no dishwasher for me!).
I've had it for two years so far. Will definitely get this type again if I move.
Great rangehood and does what it designed to do very well – Being undermount it gives clean lines to our new kitchen. Unit vented outside which keeps most of cooking smells out of the house. Works very well and controls very easy to use. Noisy on highest setting which I use when cooking a stir fry but the cooking sounds are noisy too for the 10minutes this takes. Good led light. Quality and class – The Sirius SL906-L520 has added class to my newly renovated kitchen. A lot of thought went into my choice of rangehood . The LED light, easy clean baffle filters which are excellent for induction cooktops, quality stainless steel and the long warranty. Definately worth the money. Would recommend this everyone. Very efficient but noisy – Installed unit over induction cooktop in newly renovated kitchen. Recommended by salesperson to reduce cooking odours in small townhouse, and be quiet. It is efficient whilst cooking, but is so noisy we cannot leave on to fully eliminate odours whilst we eat (despite purchasing the recommended ducting and vent kit). Show details
Induction Compatible – I Had trouble finding something that was meant to work with an induction cooktop, believe me, not all types do. I have my hopes set that this will with the reviews give. I feel that the noise level is a bit high though, but figured if it worked it was going to be worth the compromise. Guess what... it actually works and i would definitely recommend; very happy. Efficient, quiet and discreet – Great build quality. Powerful and quiet for an internal motor. Discreet under-mount fixing. Super easy baffle cleaning. LED task lighting is great. Recommended by the Sales Person - Nothing else compares – I bought this because I wanted a quiet and efficient range hood. I really wanted to get our new kitchen right with products that I will not have to change in a few years. I did shop around and came back to this product because of the whole package, lights, efficiency, under mount, easy to clean, and most of all quiet. Good Quality – Did extensive research on various brand and was impressed by Sirius under-mount range-hood recommended by the store salesperson to. Very happy with this powerful unit- SIRIUS SL906L520, which was significantly more efficient and was perfect fit for the function we needed, with very practical design. LED light is a plus.
Excellent Rangehood – Walked into Winnings Appliances and asked for a good quality range hood to go with the cooktop. Sales lady showed me a sirius range hood, i was blown away with suction when she turned it on, thought the price would be high. When she showed me the quote, i couldn't believe the price. Extremely cheap compared to brand names. Excellent product
Ideal function and design – For our kitchen reno we wanted an undermount rangehood to keep the clean look of the design. We thought we needed to compromise performance for this. Winnings recommended the SIRIUS SL906L520, which although was significantly higher cost that had originally planned, realised it was perfect fit for the function we needed, and was a beautiful design.
