Hello, I need replacement lid clips for a 1.3L Tritan Ultra Square = 9414202514039
I've had problems with the clips breaking on the newer 4 clip models. Must say I do hate the 4 clips, however, Sistema gratefully replaced both my container lids which had broken. Highly recommend their service.
Are your products manufactured in China? Or Do you manufacture these lunch boxes from plastic made in China?
I have a 142 oz cereal container and the cap on top broke. One of the clips that seal the top broke. Where or how can I buy a replacement closure?
Is it a Sistema container? If it is they don’t supply replacement clips, even though they know this is a manufactured fail point! They say return product to store or seller for replacement, or buy a new one. Classic case of the manufacturer up selling their products. I’m slowly replacing my containers for another brand.

I have used my new $30 worth of these newly designed? containers, we are in our 70’s and cannot open them, we have used the earlier version for many many years and needed to replace the ones which were looking tired, where can I return the new, however, used ones, for a refund. Please don’t say Coles as they only sell them not import them.
I'm with you, very much dislike the new lid design as they are harder to close and open. What was wrong with the earlier version which I am always on the look-out for? The products are excellent but the new lids are a no-go for me.
I gave them to our granddaughter and continuing to use the tired older style.
I have made up a plating bath with clip top containers. I have 50% hydrochloric acid in one. Am I at risk of the container breaking down?

How do you open them? I'm a72 year old (male) and I am not completely weak - but I'm f..ed if I can get the lids off these containers - I've tried leveraging it with a screw driver etc., tried heating the lid with hot water, but still can't get to the chicken I stored in one of them. I'll try melting it in the microwave as someone said they melt after a minute - then it will be f..ed - but at least I'll get my chicken out.....
Your reply made me laugh...this is such a backward move by the company. It’s even harder when it’s humid and they have been in the fridge, and totally impossible if you sealed the lid when the contents were warm. Such a disastrous “improvement”.
Yes I put the chicken in when it was still hot - and then into the fridge. Silly me - I'll have to put up with salmonella as that occurs if cooked chicken sits round for a couple of hours without being refrigerated. Or, heaven forbid, I'll have to store it in my old systema containers - not my fancy new ones...(Dare I ask who was the genius who invented these new containers?? Does he (or she) hate us. Does she (or he) entertain fantasies of us trying to open these - I'm glad I provided a bit of entertainment...
What is the maximum temperature to which Klip It containers can be heated in the non - micro wave oven?
They can be heated until they melt and burst into flames.
mine started melting in the microwave after 60 seconds..go figure.
Are Sistema storage containers airtight?
The ones I purchased Feb 2019 are not watertight so no
They are advertised as being watertight but they are not.
Original with undamaged seals were.

How can I make the seals stay in their lids? Once they come lose, they stay lose. Very annoying.

Are sistema food containers dishwasher safe?
Top Shelf on newer products. Look for the " top shelf " icon on bottom. (It may degrade with scratches quicker though. But I put them in the machine.)
Can you turn it upside down if contents requires it to be turned to equally get marinate to spread. Is it leakproof?
Bit risky as I found mine to not be very leakproof. I had milk in one and it pretty much all got out when the container was in my bag.
I have no experience with using it this way myself, but I would test trial it first using water to see if it leaks.
I found that upside down it keeps water tight. (Further experimentation reveals that is totally dependant upon conditions stated further on !) But shaken it produces drops. Standing it sideways (so that lid is vertical and not horizontal) and contents drain out..
I had salad dressing leak out (of the salad) in my cool bag after storing sideways deliberately to fit in with an icepack. [It also varies between the containers' shapes and sizes, the content's weight, liquid or oil levels and how it is stored or carried with respect to gravity.]
Re marinating. It depends on the pressure of the the contents versus the pressure of the seal to repel that. (I know - "DUH") But a heavy quantity marinade, with liquids or oils that have a runny consistency will probably find a way to the outside given time - ESPECIALLY if the resting surface is not flat.
A. I would only trust a product that make a specific claim to being water-tight and suited to marinating upside down!
Are they on special in coles, woolworths etc.?
Sometimes they are on special at Coles and IGA. I don't often shop at Woolworths so am not familiar with their specials. Probably are on special there also. Think also Spotlight might sell them.

Many of mine broke too. I contacted the company and they sent me 2. However I recently had more break, and contacted them again, and they did not respond. So who knows if they still are looking after customers?
