Contacting Sky Scanner for Assistance in Refund due to COVID 19
I do not recommend Sky Scanner for booking your flights. By all means use this search engine to find flights but book with the airlines directly. Contacting anyone from Sky Scanner for assistance with a refund for tickets bought through this company is absolutely useless. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH SKY SCANNER
SkyScanner Now Dodgy!!!!
I have now booked two flights using sky scanner in the last two months and both have ended up go to two dodgy companies BravoFly and eSky.com. DON'T use them!
Skyscanner is happy to promote any company even gotogate
booked a flight using skyscanner, it took me to gotogate to book a flight with qatar airways. skyscanner made gotogate look great showing 4-5 stars.
Flight was cancelled by qatar, gotogate requested permission to refund, i gave this the same day, more than 2 months on qatar are saying gotogate haven't requested a refund, yet gotogate are telling me it's with qatar!! more annoyingly every website i look at is rating gotogate at 1 star and so many extremely bad reviews yet skyscanner is still showing 4.5 stars for gotogate. like other reviews on here gotogate customer service is extremely poor, hard to get through, long waits, cut off, hard to understand and goes nowehere.
i can't see how skyscanner is promoting this company so highly!!
They got scam websites
They have kiwi.com on there site which is a scam website, takes money for flights and never refund. Skyscanner don't help or do anything about it. It's been almost 3 months I am waiting for my refund from kiwi.com.

Skyscanner directed me to use GOTOGATE!!
This was the worst decision I have ever made! Do not use skyscanner as they are only in it for the monies and probably a part of a huge scam!
Was over $2000 AUD in flights that were canceled due to COVID no refund no flight credit no communication even after trying to contact them numerous times all I get is people in India refusing to help me.
Save your time and money and go through a trusted company and avoid both these companies like the plague!!!!
Usually without problem; they are helpful even when a 3rd party portal tries to scam you
I am finding my tickets through skyscanner regularly. Usually, everything go well.
I also have an experience of being redirected to 3rd party website, which tried to rip me off big time. In that case, skyscanner helped me get my money back.

Do not use skyscammer!
I had to cancel a flight back to Canada from NZ for me and my girlfriend and they assured me I would get a refund back onto the card I used within 12 to 14 weeks, it has now been 6 and a half months and they have taken their phone number offline and do not have a listed phone number o their website. They keep awnsering my emails with the same generic message about how covid 19 is making refunds take longer but when I contacted the airline directly they told me that it does not take that long to process a refund and that I need to contact my tr...avel agent. Do not use skyscanner! I'm pretty sure they stole my money or just can't be bothered to apply for my refund, they have terrible customer service and I would rate them 0 stars if I could. I just want my money back before they go bankrupt. They owe me 2200$.
Never Using Them Again!
Let me start by saying that i have been using Skyscanner for years, but for the first time i needed assistance from their customer service and it is shocking how bad they are.
I booked flights from Sydney to Perth. Due to COVID the borders closed and my departure flight was cancelled. After contacting the Airline i was told that i could open the tickets for up to a year, but it was the Agent (Skyscanner) that was authorized to do that.
For the 10 days, their phone support was offline and they failed to respond to any of my emails.
Such a dodgy company
I unfortunately have been trying to contact skyscanner to reschedule a flight for days now and I mean hours apon hours of me looking up customer service numbers even resorting to calling over seas to talk to someone I mean anyone for some help. The company vaguely replies via an email which you cannot reply to to tell me I am valid to reschedule. That’s great except not a single contact that they’ve given me works, the number dials then ends or just flat out doesn’t even register I get that this number is invalid voice thing.
I live in Austra...lia and have booked directly via sky scanner. So no travel agent is involved I’ve followed every instruction imaginable on their help desk forum even going and checking a bank statement to see if I could find more clues on who to contact. The obvious point of contact was the airline direct but even they said my flight was booked under the condition only skyscanner could edit anything. I’m not asking for freebies either I’m fully aware of charges that are inevitable when changing flights. Their comeback in their emails are that they’re busy because of COVID, yes I totally agree and understand except their phone numbers and emails don’t work at all. So I that leaves me baffled Ultimately based on moral and professional principle with skyscanner being legitimately registered as a business in Australia I’ve resorted to reporting my case to the airlines ombudsman. As if people aren’t already stressed enough with COVID and missing out on Christmas your company deliberately disables customer service help desks.

Absolute disgrace of a company and customer service, will never use again for booking flights after the experience I have had. Booked a flight from Australia to UK for May 2020 (pre covid) which the flight was understandably cancelled. Paid $1300. Was informed by a Sky scanner representitive that the airline could re book another flight when borders/flights are up and running, or issue with a travel voucher for up to 2 years use. Was happy to take the voucher, but no said voucher was ever issued. 7 months later , and 7 months pregnant I am now ...trying to receive a refund to book another flight home to UK, or rebook another flight with emirates. The company which has taken over sky scanner is an absolute shambles, rude representatives, no idea what is going on, miscommunication, misleading and scamming! Not able to receive either a refund or book another flight. Day light robbery! Despite the price, DO NOT USE SKY SCANNER!!! IT IS A SCAM!!
Lost $1,000 beware!
I booked a flight through Skyscanner in early February 2020 flying Air Canada Lax-Montreal return in July 20’. Covid 19 messed up the plans as we all know and I went back to Skyscanner for a refund or credit which Air Canada were offering. After many hours of phone calls and emails speaking to various customer service reps, I was partially refunded (presumably they deducted the tax) for my flight LAX - Montreal but NOT the return leg! They said I could change the flight date only and could not have a refund for Montreal -LAX!! What use is a return flight from a place I’m no longer flying to??
Paid $1,688 and was refunded $675, lost $1,013. Beware of this “online travel agent”.
Never using Skyscanner again. I booked 3 tickets from Perth to Bali for June and because of covid it got canceled. I paid $998.02 for my tickets and received $680.58 in return so I lose out $317.44! For what! Don’t tell me your crap story of fees for whatever. That’s absolute rubbish not happy!!! Scammers
Can't be trusted
I'd been using Skyscanner for about 2years before covid.
I trusted my dealings with Skyscanner.
I booked flights through companies
Under the name, Fly far.and .My trip.
In small print via their correspondence they also go by the name Go to Gate.
These so called, rest assured, Skyscanner 3rd party businesses, use different names via Skyscanner website and App
I've had no end of trouble with these companies,trying to obtain credits and refunds since March..and it's still going on.
I pressed Skyscanner for answers about the issue.
Worst website ever for travel bookings!
Did not refund flight due to covid flight booked for airasia flight. Been waiting for five months since. Rang air asia and need to go through them for refund. Spend 2 hours each time on hold on phone. Will never use them. Hope they go bankrupt. Operator was rude and said will refund and never did. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

I used Skyscanner to book flights for March 2020 through Travelgenio. My flights were cancelled due to covid 19 which is totally understandable. But 5 months later I am still trying to get a refund or an open ticket to use at a later date.
Skyscanner and their agents are happy to take your money and then ignore you.
Save yourself time and money and please Do Not Use Skyscanner!!!! Im sure Skyscanner will leave a comment below asking me to contact them and that they will look into it but i can tell you right now, once i email them they will tell me Im not eligible for a refund or they will completely ignore it.
Skyscanner is legit but...
I have been using intensive sky scanner website for my last year trips. Bought dozens of flight tickets in Europe and south east asia using their search enginee. I never had problems when i have bought the flight tickets from airlines. All issues appear when using shady travel agency such Go to Gate and god knows how many are there. The problem i have is regarding quality of travel agencies whick are listed there,especially with GoToGate travel agency, which declined the refund. It have been already 6 months since im trying to get my refund bac...k. In my opinion Sky Scanner is legit, but being associated with those scam travel agencies such as Go to Gate and refusing to delist them, make them a scam as they are. I rate them with 1 star and i will never use Sky Scanner again until they clean their yard.
Refund for cancelled air tickets
Flights in April 2020 was cancelled due to the covid - 19 - We are awaiting our refund from Skyscanner for almost three months - I want to know when I will receive my money -

Don't book with Skyscanner!
My Alaska Airlines booked with Skyscanner was cancelled due to Coronavirus.I first contacted Skyscanner on 21st March & have since entered into a long correspondence where I have been asked to call Alaska Airlines in the USA, I have been given written confirmation that a refund is agreed & is being processed, but after nearly 4 months, I still have not received my refund. I have been fobbed off & apologised to again & again in patronising, generic emails. I understand the circumstances are difficult right now, but I will NEVER do this again & I do not recommend anyone to use Skyscanner for this reason.Please avoid at all costs & book with the airline direct!
Airline cancelled our flights, Skyscanner sending us in circles telling us to sort it out with airline, airline telling us Skycsanner need to resolve issue. Skyscanner won't take responsibility, have been no help at all, they are not interested in helping, would never use this company again they just take your money , zero customer care factor

Few minutes ago i just wrongly purchase 2 one way tickets from Sydney to Perth on Sept 5, 2021 and my eSky booking number is 7796980961. Actually we want to buy two round trip tickets and departure date from Sydney is Sept 5, 2021 by Jetstar etd 19:55 and eta 22:55 while the return flight back from Perth is on Sept 12 by Qantas etd is 16:30 and eta is 22:30.
