I don't understand the bad reviews – We recently purchased this through a work friend. It looks brand new....the remotes give away the age of the mattress lol. I love it....it's not for people who NEED or love memory foam etc. It is a firmer bed no matter the setting. I keep mine in the middle 45-50 and I love it. It isn't just an air mattress.....it has padding and a frame but you… Read more
can tell it has air in it if that makes sense. Havent had any leaks or issues. Light weight to move. It all comes down to personal preference.....I don't like super soft memory foam so this bed works for me and my hubby (who loves sleeping on the floor) havent had pain or discomfort. I can see why an older person with back issues wouldn't like it bc like I said it is a firmer bed no matter what, but soft enough to go to sleep and stay asleep. I'm 31 and have scoliosis and I sleep on it just fine!
Love it! No issues – I have had all types of mattresses from Swedesh Temper-pedic (adjustable, hated it) to pillow top to plain old mattress. In 2007 I had purchased a brand new mattress set and, after 2 weeks, I couldn't stand it. Had an air bed that I put on top of the box spring and I slept like a baby. Long story short, Sleep Number was on sale. I bought queen… Read more
mattress only for me and full set for guest room.
They set it all up and took away the perfectly new regular mattress. Using regular bed frame and tired box spring.
Only thing I have done over time is buy a couple foam toppers. Pump and bladders have held up well.
Sleep number bed approx 9years old – Its still a good bed suits us, At the first year or into year2 they changed the pump. About year 8 they changed to top section under warranty ,we had to pay for a mattress clean prior to the repair work.now the plastic nozzle has broken edge where the hose clips onto the bladder ,they wanted $90+ to change the bladder or $550+ to change the… Read more
pump .didnt ask if inc labour or site visit.
Neither the pump or bladder were faulty only this small plasic nozzle ,So as the warranty is virtually gone i cut the end off the hose and put a utilux style hose clamp on the bladder nozzele.
Problem fixed' !as they would have charged me for a complete bladder .
This is my choice, but it may void any existing warranty?
Apart from that no other issues,as if it lasts another couple of years all okay .
This is a king size so if the other side has a similar issue i will repeat the fix .
Day 1. We'll see I guess – I just spent 100$ for a used one not sure what I was getting myself into. Literally did no homework and read no reviews... All I knew was it was a sleepnumber and it was 100$ so I thought what the hell.... I pictured in my mind there being a memory foam topper or something but your litterly sleeping on a air mattress. I'm disappointed such a… Read more
reputable product is just 2 air mattress with a mattress topper. Ow well im hoping to be plesently surprised but I've slept on air mattresses before and haven't been a fan.
Sleep Number fan – We have had our bed since 2008 and wouldn't swap it for the world, I can adjust it to my needs on a nightly basis if desired or leave it at a set pressure for months at ta time. We highly recommend these mattresses and like everything else it suits some and not others... I LOVE MY BED! :o)
Beware of high cost parts even under warranty – We have a 7 yr old Select Comfort 3000 King that in the last 2-3 years has developed body impressions in the top mattress padding cover. I have talked to Select Comfort customer support and they are saying that the prorated cost of replacing the mattress padding cover is $625.00. that is 1/3 of the price we paid for the whole bed. Their pricing is… Read more
very high which reduces the benefit of their supposed great 20 year warranty. - The bed is OK but customer service and warranty is a bad experience.
Best bed ever invented!!! – Owners of Sleep Number beds for over a decade. From Queen to pillow top king to completely adjustable pillow top king on motorized platform with sleep IQ. When we are on vacation, we can't wait to get back to our sleep number bed!!! You need to know that your body heat and room temperature will adjust the firmness, softness of the mattress. In… Read more
Winter/Summer? When you're sleeping or unconscious it's hard to judge. But the video of the sleeping couple helped us to commit to buying our first Sleep Number bed. On a regular mattress the couple in the video had a restless sleep lots of movement. But when sleeping on a sleep number bed, a more restful sleep / less movement was accomplished. On our second decade and still counting sheep!
Getting rid of this rubbish – Today we have sent this rubbish to the tip. We struggled with this mattress for 4 years, as it cost a lot money, but enough is enough. This mattress is an overpriced air bed that is sold with an enormous amount of [censored word removed]. AH Beard should be ashamed of themselves for selling such rubbish and having little care about their… Read more
customers. We will be buying a new mattress, never, never again AH Beard!
You name it. Very uncomfortable, too costly, AH Beard, you should be ashamed.
Sleep Number, the best sleeping mattress ever – I once sold beds for a living, I then discovered the Sleep Number I purchased a 7000 model over 6 years ago and have never had an uncomfortable nights sleep since.. It is important to set it on a number, eg 35, and leave it there for some weeks, your body needs to get accustomed to it, changing numbers continually will not allow you to find your… Read more
comfort zone.
the best decision my husband and I have ever made, I suffered aching hips for decades, but no longer.. always feels the same, very little partner disturbance.
Glorified air bed – We purchased this sleep number about 3yrs ago, slept on it for 2weeks and its been sitting in our shed back in its box ever since. What a HUGE waste of hard earned money. Thought this bed would be great for my partners bad back, well it made his back worse and wasn't too kind to mine either. What a pain to have to pump it up every night before you… Read more
get in as it wouldn't hold air, difficult to get out of, hard lump in the middle of the bed. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Nothing Everything
Sleep detractor, rip-off – This is a marketing gimmick that is definitely NOT good for your back. Its a blow-up double-sided mattress (with a hard lump separating the two sides) that causes long-term pressure point pain and sore backs. It is a rip-off of the highest magnitude, a total scam job in terms of the claims, and waste of money. Together with the "product… Read more
support" given by AH Beard (i.e. zero support...just like the mattress), I'll never purchase another AH Beard mattress again. Fair Trading or A Current Affair need to hear about this one.
Expensive produce, doesn't live up to its claims, warranty free for 2 years only (not 20 years).
Waste of money terrible mattress – We got a king size sleep number after trying a number of different mattresses. My wife and I have completely different needs when it comes to the firmness of the mattress. After a month of owning the mattress I realized it was giving me a sore back and an uncomfortable nights sleep. My side now deflates over night and I can no longer sleep on it.… Read more
Trying to contact the service person for Victoria is a nightmare 4 phone calls and put through to 3 different departments only to finally get through to the illusive, [name removed], phone message bank. The question now is will I ever get a phone call back or is the mattress a $2500.00 waste of money. Even if I do get it fixed it will have to go out on the spare bed because it's a piece of junk. The con job at the Harvey Norman shop. Expensive, bad for backs, yes it has different settings for both sides, they are bad and really.
Terrible – do not buy this bed it is over priced and it is just a blow up camping mattress them has a lot of problems the bed keeps going flat after 4 hours people that make the bed unhelpful domayne who sold the bed did not want to talk to us was told it had a 20year warranty but it only has a 2year warranty

Don't waste your money – My husband and I can't believe we were sucked in by the bells and whistles. I can't sleep in this bed for more than a couple of hours before I get pain running down my legs. The bed is concave and provides no back support at all. This is a massive rip off. It is so bad we've been assuming it was just a fauly mattress but based on the response… Read more
we received from product support (they offered to 'coach' us through how to use the bed (!!!) but refused to replace it) - we can only assume this bed is poorly constructed and is just a marketing gimmick. What a waste of money. Now we have to buy another bed and we've only had this for six months. We will never buy another AH Beard bed.
no support, gives back pain, expensive
Excellent – just purchased the 3000, matress only, from harvey norman. got a good price of $2000 when compared to other similar matresess so we are pleased. only slept a couple of nights on it so far but the missus says she hasn't slept this well in years. individual adjustment for each side of bed, controller for each side, backlit controls for ease of use at night, low power consumption. none really as yet Show reply
