Best bed I ever owned – We bought the 7000 series bed in 2006 and it’s still going strong in 2021 and still has warranty left to offer. Very supportive snd I’ve never slept better then I have while owning this bed. Show details
Lot of money down the drain – Fine for the first few years brought the sleep number 7000 king paying $5578.00 for it when you have bad back you will pay that, for what we have spent could have bought a new bed each year sorry just got off talking AH Beard Who where ment to turn up at my house today (NO SHOWS ) just a bit cranky IF YOU ARE GOING TO PAY BIG MONEY ON A BED DONT WASTE IT ON THIS COMPANYS BEDS will post more detailed review when not so upset.
a big mistake and money down the drain – Although the bed was meant to last for many years. Within 2 years the mattress on top of the balloon had collapsed leaving a permanent hollow. My back is now worse than ever and we constantly think about getting rid of it. Because it was so expensive we feel obliged to grin and bear it a bit longer before buying another bed. Sleep number will never be on my list of preferred beds. hardness upper mattress collapsed
Terrible – Dont buy a sleep number bed unless you crave the feeling of being on an endless camping trip. A real lesson " let the buyer beware" We consider ourselves to be reasonably informed consumers. I am mortified that we have paid $2500.00 for an airbed with a bit if foam on it. I am even more surprised that quality manufacturers and retails are… Read more
prepared to sell this item. It belongs on daytime TV alongside exercisemachines and wonder diets. There is just no way it can deliver what it promises. the pump is eratic , you either sink into it or it's like concrete. We have a foam wall between us and we get pins and needles from it. Do not buy this product full stop. My suspicion is that the only positive reviews you will find online are from vested interests.
Stay away - save your money – We purchased this as an end of line special for $6500. Well I should have just withdrawn $6500 and slept on that! Sagging, air pressure changes during the night. You might as well buy an air mattress and put a foam protector over it. Complete waste of money and it has only added to my back pain which was already unbearable. Expensive, poor quality, false advertising
Excellent – Sleep number 7000 King Terrific, love that each side is totally independent so you can tailor it to your own needs, she sleeps up, I sleep flat, she constantly adjusts the firmness to suit her needs when ever necerssary, I have set it and occasionally tinker it and sleep wounderfully, the massage function oh wow! awesome way to drift off to sleep, 'good morning' erections are back!
Excellent – Fantastic bed, super comfortable with low allergen materials. Resort style comfort at home. Hard to get out of bed though but fantastic for a great nights sleep. The bed was comfortable from the word go due to the pillow top and blend of latex/silk/wool etc without the need to really adjust the sleep number, although adjusting definitely did make… Read more
it even more comfortable, just when you thought it wasn't possible. The fact that this bed has a 20 year guarantee and the split king has the benefit of 'no partner disturbance' whilst being able to adjust your sleeping side to suit your comfort level. My husband and I tried all three models and couldn't look back after trying the 7000. We did compare with a lot of other top of the line king koil/latex mattresses but they just couldn't compare, and as the price wasn't that different but with so many more positives to the sleep number, we decided on this bed, and felt very sleepy after trying it out at the store... so it certainly did it's job.
The added benefit with the sleep number is that you are able to adjust the softness/firmness so depending on how you're feeling or how your body changes over time, you can change your mattress to suit. That upgrades like have drawers underneath or controls to be able to adjust the bed to a seated position were extremely pricey (i.e $3000 for extra controls)
Terrible – within just on two years of owning this bed, we have decided to move on, it's given us back pain and is uncomfortable. there is a ridge in the middle of the bed and the foam pillow top has collapsed so it lookes like there is two hammocks on either side. there is no support for your back with air chambers and the bed continuously looses air. the… Read more
worst bed ever.. don't buy one, you'll be so sorry. thetraditional pocket spring beds are the best with a luxury pillow top... stay away from sleepnubmers... nothing really everything.. what a waste of money
Excellent – After suffering from lower back pain and recurring disc injuries for many years, my physio finally convinced me that I needed to change the mattress I was sleeping on. After a great deal of research, I finally convinced my husband to part with the money and buy a Sleep Number 7000. My husband had read many online reviews and was not 100%… Read more
converted but agreed to the purchase to keep me happy, or shut me up! The first night we slept on the mattress, I was dreading that he would hate it and I would have to spend the next 20 years listening to how much money we wasted on this 'overpriced airbed'. He was however, instantly convinced and now, 12 months later, we hate going away as we find sleeping on even the best inner spring mattress very uncomfortable.
My physio and masseuse have also commented on how much better my back and neck have been since sleeping on the Sleep Number 7000. I have even been able to reduce the frequency of treatments and find everyday living so much easier without the constant pain.
Many reviews the we read judged the Sleep Number primarily on price and questioned the value for money compared with other mattresses. My response to these critics, many of whom I doubt have ever slept on the mattress, is that you spend more money on you car than this mattress costs and most people would spend a lot more time on their mattress than in their car. In order to understand the true value of the Sleep Number mattresses, their initial cost must be weighed up against the many positive benefits of a sound night's uninterrupted sleep and a pain-free life. I now love getting in to bed every night, can sleep through the night without waking in agony and have greatly reduced the pain in my lower back. Having to leave it for a night and sleep on something else
