Terrible – 1. No matter what your number it will be hard, the number really translates to your preference for sleeping in a hammock or not 2. You are effectively sleeping in a hammock or a canoe, as you reduce the number the bed sinks in - you are unable t 3. Not good for any type of back pain, I wake up with a painful back every morning at 3am where I am… Read more
forced to sleep on my side, where I wake up with a painful side at 6am 4. I'd rather sleep on the floor - my baby son woke up last night and I actually jumped out of bed so I could sleep in his room on the floor rather than spend another minute on this bed
Do not buy - just get a normal bed!
Wouldn't live without it – Brought from Harvey Norman when it was half price special. Never regretted this, by far the best bed we have ever had! Can set individual comfort levels. My husband likes it soft and I like it firm. There is never a problem with roll together. I don't feel hubby getting in. It has two separate bladders of air. house you need the two plugs it comes with. They look like ear plugs, this stops the bladders from deflating and getting tangled during transport. I'm a cold frog and hubby is a hot person, he does not complain of heat on this mattress unlike the old one. I'm so happy we got this over the tempur. Light to lift and easy to make where the tempur was extremely heavy in comparison. Would recommend this bed to anyone with a partner who prefers their bed at a different comfort level to your own. Never had a sore back since purchasing this bed. Fantastic for pregnancy as you can adjust it to suit at different stages of pregnancy.
Sore back – I agree with the other comments. We have had this bed 5 years , and have hated everyday of it. It is a king size and we paid a lot of money for it. What a waste. I wake up most mornings with a sore back. Thought it was the pillows. Spent plenty on those as well. Too uncomfortable
Mistake – 1- No edge support, 2- wife has her setting at 40, I have mine at 80, the result, roll over. I find myself rolling over on to her side. 3- I realized that when you lay down on an "air mattress", the air compresses and becomes hard, no give, alot of pain. I regret buying this product. I strongly recommend anyone "NOT to buy a sleep by number bed."
Put One In The Spare Room For The Inlaws, They Wont Stay long ! – Well Its twelve months since we went shopping for a new bed, and what a year Its been. Living In a regional city we eventually ended up at our local Harvey Norman store In search for a comfortable bed. I like to think of myself as being a person who isn't easily manipulated by the "friendly" sales staff yet here we are "proud" owners of a Sleep… Read more
Number bed....ha ha, the jokes on me. Ours is a Circular Classic Series which we were dually told had the same internals as all beds across the range, the only difference is the more expensive ones had pillow tops and or drawers In the base. We were strongly encouraged to buy as it was going off sale that week, from $4000 down to $2000, so in hindsight I guess we rushed in. The bed we tested ( "labelled" a Circular Classic ) yes obviously had many a person before us, is nothing like what we received, not even close. It was actually comfortable, and we did not affect each other with our movements, unlike ours. We were so excited thinking that we could just "tweak" the bed at our pleasure and we would forever wake up feeling fresh and well rested, just like the glossy brochures state. If only that was true for us. Thankfully our air pump and wireless hand piece are still in working order as we seem to have to chase the settings regularly... reading other revues I guess we are lucky. I am totally curious why just a year on why all the names of Sleep Number Beds have changed again ? ours was the "new series, don't buy that one, its the older one, buy this one, you wont be disappointed". Wrong Ms Harvey Norman lady, we should have had a clue when you said "if you find it uncomfortable come back in and I'll sell you this foam mattress topper" ( $400 ). So we are going to try and create some support and comfort on this darn thing by buying some sort of topper, not from Harvey Norman neither, and if that doesn't work its off to the spare room with it. So for all the Glitz and Glamour of the Sleep Number section of your friendly Harvey Norman store my advice would be to steer clear and save yourself the disappointment. It gives me great memories of my childhood, sleeping on a dodgy air bed out camping total misrepresentation of how good it is, it aint
