Slidetrack blinds - poor design, non existent service – We purchased 2 Slidetrack outdoor motorised blinds about 18 months ago. The blinds are manufactured by Ozroll in Adelaide SA and were installed by their Melbourne based distributor. The blinds are effectively the top of the range track guided type with solar powered motors and premium pelmet. The first disappointment is that even when fully retracted approx 25mm of the blind mesh is still visible, i.e. it cannot fully retract or else the blind mesh comes out of the top of the track. Issues with the blinds started from day one. The blinds tend to jamb when lowering, and require manual intervention to push the blind down. After a couple of uses the blinds do not retract evenly with approx 50mm difference from side to side. Over time the blinds retract less and less, now one has 100mm of mesh still visible when fully retracted. The remote control supplied is very fiddly, with small buttons and it is very difficult to select the function required. One blind has now pulled out of the track and so is unusable. Despite multiple emails, SMS and phone calls to the distributor requesting the blinds be fixed under warrantee, they have failed to show up despite promising to attend on two occasions. The manufacturer (Ozroll) was no help assigning responsibility to the distributor.
