Best mattress I've ever owned – I love this mattress so much. We've had it for 5 years and still going strong. My partner and I still occasionally talk about what a good buy it was! Firm, but has enough give to feel a bit luxurious. We have coslept with both kids as babies on this bed and felt very safe for that due to box springs. No regrets on this purchase. Show details
No good if you have lower back issues – Purchased this after our online mattress-in-a-box started to lose its support (lasted about 18months). Was hoping that buying in store might mean slight better quality and longevity and did not want to be added to landfill every couple yrs buying a cheaper mattress. Although the Cornwall feels nice and supportive to lay on, both my wife and I… Read more
are both waking with lower back / shoulder issues. If I dont put a pillow under my knees I am in for a rough morning when i wake up.
Had the mattress now for approx 2 months and have done the rotate at sheet change as asked.
Likely wont buy from Snooze store ever again as they have a "no returns" and no 100 nights trial policy like other stores, so now we stuck with a more expensive mattress that we both dont want to use.
We have a zempire monstamat brand camping mattress on the floor next to our bed which we take turns using when we need some respite from waking up in Pain. Its a shame Zempire dont make a queen version of this, wake up feeling fantastic each morning after using it.
Steer clear of Snooze, and especially this mattress if you are prone to any back issues.
My favourite bed – After our positive experience with our first king aized mattress, we’ve gone on to buy a queen mattress each for our two sons, and for each of our 3 bedrooms in a holiday house. Best mattress ever! Show details
The last bed you'll ever need, 9 years later and still going strong – I'm around 80kg's and came from a medium mattress, laid down on this firm one and was sold instantly. For people 80kg and above a firm mattress is vital so your body doesn't sag at weird angles during the night as the bed settles. This does it perfectly. 9 years later and only a slight amount of sag as expected for a mattress. I feel the negative… Read more
comments are from people that are fairly light that would prefer a more pliable mattress. Bought from Snooze for $1100 on sale (don't pay RRP)
Would definitely get it again.
Very firm, comfortable mattress, but not hardwearing. Warranty not worth the paper it's written on – I am prone to getting bad backs if I sleep on mattresses that aren't right, and this fit the bill for me. Quite firm, but with enough give not to be rock hard and be like sleeping on the floor either. Unfortunately its construction leaves a lot to be desired. After a few years the material is falling apart in several places and unravelling at the… Read more
edges, and the bed itself has become very lumpy and uncomfortable to the point that I can't put up with it anymore and it has to be replaced. I've lodged a warranty claim. We'll see if they honour it or not as I'm kind of torn here about the rating. If they do honour the warranty, I'll up, the rating, if not I'd decrease it as although it was a nice mattress when new, it works out to be very expensive if you have to replace them while they're still under warranty as they're not cheap mattresses. Also as a few people have noted, these mattresses are really heavy for their size!!!
Edit: Heard back and even though it's obvious from the pictures what is wrong with it, they now require a professional steam clean to come and look at it which is a few hundred dollars before they will promise anything, so basically likely lose more money on a mattress that needs throwing away because it's stuffed. This is not "a get it steam cleaned and we'll fix it "this is "we don't want to so we're going to make it as hard and expensive as possible to try and put you off, and then do the minimum we can get away with and find excuses as to why we won't fix the major issues so it's not worth your while even attempting to claim the warranty". The impression I got was at best they MIGHT consider fixing where it is coming apart at the bottom, but will do nothing about the stuffed springs and lumpy mattress areas which is my main issue so basically need to throw it away even if they did repair that aspect. If buying, be aware that it appears that the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. They've just lost a customer who would have otherwise happily continued to buy their mattresses. Looking elsewhere now, hope they're happy.
Extremely firm. Husband likes it, but it’s made my back ache worse – The shop assistant at Snooze suggested that we go for medium firmness but as my husband had a back operation for a slipped disc a few years ago, we decided we couldn’t risk potential sagging. The firm Cornwall felt perfect in the shop so we went for that instead. When it arrived I was impressed by the quality. It’s well made, looks expensive and… Read more
feels luxurious to touch. No nasty smells at all. BUT we were both shocked by how firm it actually is. It’s like a bag of wet sand. No bounce at all. The Cornwall is definitely on the hard side of firm. Don’t buy this if you are hoping it will soften up quickly. I am a landscape gardener and do a lot of digging. I am prone to morning back ache but this mattress has made it worse. I wake up every morning at 5am with a burning stiff pain that I’ve never experienced with any other bed and it’s hellish. We tried to get an exchange for medium but they wouldn’t accept. So I bought a “micro cloud” online for $300. It has made a huge difference. I still don’t get a proper night’s sleep but I would recommend this solution to anyone who bought the Cornwall and it’s too firm. On the plus side. my husband, with the lower back operation, isn’t bothered by the Cornwall and has a normal night’s sleep. He likes it! He’s a side sleeper and I’m a back sleeper. It’s been 6 months and it’s softened only a fraction.
Love the bed!!! – I was a little concerned when I first got it as I like a softer bed as I sleep on my stomach. I am a bad sleeper and always woke up with pain everywhere UNTIL I GOT THIS MATTRESS. It is heavy as people have said. It has stayed in shape and I sleep better and wake up with no or very little pain. The only problem I am having is queen sheets and… Read more
covers, they all have been too small even though its a queen bed. Im having to buy King. However as far as comfort and sleep goes, im loving it. You really need to give it time for your body to re adjust and sometimes you actually may have to change your pillows aswell
If you want a bad back this is the bed to buy – I bought this mattress from snooze last year, I told the man I have back problems as I am a bricklayer, he suggested this bed. It’s been one year, my partner now has back pain EVERYDAY and my back is worse. He sold me a brick, it’s HEAVY to move and hard on the spine. If you want a f$cked back then buy this bed. Waste of money, put it on the verge for collection. Show details
Sore back everyday – I have to get rid of this mattress after using for 4 months. Couldn't sleep well and I have sore back everyday after wake up. Change to a new mattress and sore back disappear. Show details
5 years on, still happy with it – I'm revising my review because I had problems with this mattress feeling too firm and giving me a sore back, but now it's quite comfortable and I can see it lasting another 5 years before needing to be replaced. Show details
Bought My Mattress - Slumberland Cornwall – Good mattress with firm support still has a nice feeling on top due to memory foam. I checked a lot of mattress in the market for firm supporting mattress, but found this mattress better as the combination of firmness for support and feeling soft and warm due to nice foam topping. The edges are quite strong. Bought this home 3 days back, so far so… Read more
good. Hope I like it for a long time!!! Best match for Asians who look for a firm mattress but do not want to feel like a wooden plank when you sleep.
Excellent firm mattress, very happpy with it – As previous person said, when you first get this mattress it'll feel very firm for the first few nights to a couple weeks, then it settles down. We were after a firm mattress and when we lay on the display one, we were very happy with it as while it felt firm, the whole body felt supported. The first few nights at home though I was starting to… Read more
think it was too firm and did not feel like the one on display but after that it seems to settled and feels more like what we experienced in the store. We've had it for 3 month now and are extremely happy with it. Previous mattress was Heritage from Myer and it started forming body shape after 1 week and so we returned it and previous to that was makin mattress for 'Big person' (we're not big people but that was the firmest mattress they had) and it was a brick and did not give any support what so ever. Cornwall feels firm but the body is supported, the mattress seems to come up to your curves rather than your body having to sink into the mattress is the only way I can describe it. Just remember about that first few nights may feel too firm. Feel supported and comfortable, no body indentations formed yet like previous mattress firt few nights felt very firm before it settles.
Slumberland Cornwall – Unfortunately, we have 'not' slept the first 2 nights on this mattress due to its firm feel despite having a padded protector and wool underlay fitted on it. Today we are both walking around with general pains in shoulders and backs. I hope we will get used to it in time. It looks nicely finished. Too firm.

What a ridiculous thing to say, based on just 2 nights' sleep. It is an awesome bed and probably… Read more (+1 reply)
