Slumberland Kent

We purchased a Slumberland Kent Mattress Firm in April 2024. We spend lots of time testing different mattresses and decided that this was a good choice. It was fine at first. After 6-8 months we started getting back pain from the bed. We noticed that there were dips where our hips go and realised that this was what was causing the pain. We approached Snooze Penrith where we purchased the mattress. They organised for the mattress to be checked under warranty.

The mattress was taken away, checked and returned in a day (good service). However they found nothing wrong with it.

On return the dips had disappeared, but they returned within a week.

We then returned to Snooze Penrith and advised them of our problem. We decided that we would buy a different mattress. The sales representative said he would see what he could do for us and would get back to us that afternoon. We have never heard back from them.

We will be purchasing a new mattress from another company and sending this one to landfill.

Great, quality mattress – Bought the Slumberland Kent from Snooze in mid December 2014. I was initially cautious given the polarity of reviews on different mattresses (ie. the same mattress can get multiple 1 star and 5 star reviews). After 6 weeks there has been no changes to the mattress and both my wife and I find it very comfortable, despite me being 40kg heavier than her. My daily back pain has improved and I wake up a little more refreshed than I did previously. Friends who have tried it find it equally comfortable. Given it has a pillow top it is a little warmer than our previous mattress (which didn't have a pillow), but I struggle to sleep in the heat and this mattress hasn't been a problem. It can get warmish, but I wouldn't describe it as hot. I would recommend this, especially if you can get a good deal as the asking price for the king size is around $3k, but we managed to negotiate to about $2400 as we bought a base as well.
