Smarty’s Carpet Cleaning

I’ve known Matthew Smart (“Smarty”) for a while, but I’d never used Smarty’s Carpet Cleaning until recently – and I’m glad I did! Smarty turned up on time, got straight to work, and was thorough from start to finish. He’s a genuine bloke, with a wife and kids, and clearly takes pride in his work. His customer service is fantastic, his prices are competitive, and he uses proper trade‑quality gear – not the cheap stuff.

What really stood out was that he’s willing to go the extra mile to make sure the job is done right. I’d happily recommend Smarty’s Carpet Cleaning to anyone, and I’ll definitely be using his services again.

Do Not Book This Company – I booked Smarty’s Carpet Cleaning for my end of lease required carpet clean, I booked well in advance, I contacted the evening before to confirm the time and place which was at 8am at a rental property I no longer lived at, I arrived there at 7am with my two small children. At 8am, NO Smarty’s cleaning, at 9am,at10am, no call, no text , no nothing! I tried calling, texting, fb messenger but no reply. After Smarty Cleaning confirming my appointment when I contacted them the evening before and they confirmed (what a joke) . When myself and my husband tried contacting, we were ignored! Do not ever rely if you need your carpets cleaned. I was left in such a bad position! My 3 year old was so bored and difficult, which is fair enough to be sitting in a house with nothing but a few toys waiting is unfair. I had to put a post on fb and hope someone would see. I even had people recommend this person, think his wife who said he didn’t have us booked in but I could sent her the proof we were. JUST DONT!!!!! I hate writing bad reviews but honestly the time and money I wasted was unbelievable to get someone at such short notice was so hard!

Do not use this cowboy cleaner! – Booked through D&R Carpet Cleaning (do not use these either!) for 2 mattress cleans. [name removed] left one of my mattresses with several tears. When I queried this [name removed] confirmed via text that he had caused damage and forgot to mention. He later denied this to D&R Cleaning who are now taking zero accountability even though evidence was provided. Requested refund from [name removed] due to unsatisfactory work and he has simply ignored my message. Please do not use this business!
