Like many other people SMEG replaced my blender jug at least 5 times due to leaking. The last one they sent appears to be a new design. No rubber piece at the bottom to wear out, and can now go in dishwasher Very happy so ask for yours to be replaced with new one and im sure you will be happy Show details · 2
Faulty product – I have all Smeg appliances in my kitchen, all running perfectly but the blender is faulty, Smeg have replaced it now 4 times and I’ve still not had it two years, last one lasted 3 months, I think they are tired of me now as they are unable to replace with a cream one ( to match my other Smeg appliances) and I’ve received a black one today, I most definitely won’t be asking for another replacement. Smeg should be aware this product is faulty… Show details
Leaks constantly - problem resolved – UPDATE: SMEG service was great. They sent out a new seal and it resolved the issue. Turns out it was just a seal. Given it was out of warranty I would of been happy to pay for it however SMEG didn't charge for it. Thanks. Bought about 3 years ago. It’s been in storage for the past two years. Got it out today and it leaks from the bottom. It’s not usable. Like other reviews have stated it’s clearly a design fault. Show details
Poor quality and overpriced – I purchased this product in late 2020 - it’s less than 3 years old and has stopped working. It also leaks. I went to use it this afternoon, tried 3 different power points but it has just stopped working. Very very poor, especially considering the price tag. I won’t be purchasing smeg products again. Awful product – difficult to clean and leaks – As others have said, after a few uses the blender leaks from the bottom. Terrible design, quality and product. Try another blender. Probably one of the worst purchases we've made when there are plenty of other blenders that work well for a lot cheaper. Show details
Smeg Blender leaks – I can see that the blender has a special hole in the base and depending how you put the jug on, it leaks through this hole out to where the cord is. What is this hole for? I cannot see a hole in the jug for it to leak through to the base. Show details
Leaks!! – Like others on here my blender jug is now leaking like a waterfall. Just over a year old and not used often so very disappointed especially at the price vs usage Show details

Smeg Blender jug leaking – I purchased this Smeg blender in January 2021 paying $299 at the Good Guys. This jug has started leaking so much through the bottom of the jug that it is no longer useable. I would have thought this product would last longer given the expensive price tag. Any idea how to get this fixed. I emailed SMEG yet to get a reply…. Show details

So hard to get the lid off and middle of lid will not budge to come out – Really dissapointed in this product. It was so expensive and thought i was buying quality. I often make iced coffee or chocolate in this and end up with spilt all over my front as i have to hug the jug to prise the lid off. The lid sticks so hard and takes real muscle to get it off. Really annoying and messy. I now wish i hadnt given my old moulinex blender away. Looks nice as a prop in the kitchen and that is all, not user friendly. Show details
I couldnt agree more – I bought the blender and after about 3 months had a small leak. 1-2 years in and its a virtual waterfall. The problem is that the blade unit has worn in its shaft and the drink or whatever you are mixing just leaks straight into the the motor unit. Im really upset because I would have thought that paying a premium over a cheap blender would get me… Read more
something that would last.
After contacting SMEG Sweden (Where I bought It from), they despite designing a faulty blender refused to accept my bank statement as proof of purchase. I will not buy anything made by this company EVER.
Unacceptably poor design and execution – 2 years in and this machine leaks fluid at any attempt to use it. I have disassembled the chassis and re-assesmbled, checked the gasket, nothing appears out of place yet it leaks smoothie through the engine and out the bottom. This is possibly hazardous with mains power supply into the unit where fluid is leaking. Appalling and unacceptable.… Read more
Further, the design is so flawed that it requires disassembly of the blade from the unit to clean. This requires a large amount of force to undo and refit. Father in law's ancient hand me down Kambrook was far superior. This product is not fit for commercial release.

Blends Great But Stopped Working – Terrific blender and Smeg has been fantastic in resolving my problem. It's tricky to assemble after washing and leaks if not reassembled 100% which requires strong wrists! Leaking into motor might be why mine broke (?) Show details
Sadly, very disappointing – As others have suggested, this was a very disappointing product. It leaks constantly no matter how I try to readjust the bottom! It’s also very difficult to clean, especially around the lid. I have three other Smeg appliances (which I love dearly) but this product has really made me lose faith in the brand. Show details

Good & Bad – After 3 months it’s leaked, flooded the sideboard went all through the machine and countless attempts to fix no joy. Very disappointed as we thought buying Smeg was buying quality. Anyway, I contacted Smeg and within 24 hours of contact, with ZERO FUSS they have a new one shipped out to us. They asked me for my details and a receipt and next… Read more
minute I get an email saying it’s shipped. Now that sort of service can not be argued with. Very impressed. Thankyou Smeg Australia.
Pretty, but useless – It’s beautiful, but your ingredients will immediately pour through the machine. I’ve tried tightening the bottom with the lid, but it won’t move. Back to my ugly kitchenaid. So disappointed. Show details

Leaks!!!! - but excellent prompt response from SMEG – Update - SMEG promptly replied to my complaint and replacing the product as it is under warranty and my blender was faulty. Absolutely delighted with the marvellous and quick customer service offered by SMEG. I bought my blender over a year ago from David Jones. I thought it was aesthetically very pleasing. I rang Smeg as the first attempt to… Read more
unscrew the bottom using the lid insert was almost impossible. I was informed by a very helpful and polite woman that it would be easier as time went on. Eventually it was. Poor design. It leaks appallingly. I have tried every location for the blades insert being screwed in at base and it leaks at every section.

Disappointing blender :( – - I was so excited to get this blender and love the look of it however find it very disappointing. - It is extremely hard to clean. Even after scrubbing it and sometimes leaving it for a few hours to soak, when I go to use it the following morning it smells awful and I have to re-wash it wall over again before using it. The grooves in the blender… Read more
make it really hard to clean, getting chia seeds or peanut butter out of grooves is timely. - It's VERY loud - people have to walk out of the room when I'm blending. I've had comments from various people saying how they can't believe how loud it is - it makes me think it is broken!? It's as if it is an industrial blender, not one for the home. - I follow very standard Smoothie recipes and always have to at least triple the liquid content, otherwise it will not blend. - Wouldn't recommend this blender.
Good looking but NOT for USE – I bought everything smeg for my kitchen, everything is perfect only the blender is not very good, only used couple times and the spin is not working when i am about to make a smoothie. Very disappointed ~ Show details

Faulty product – Unfortunately the blender we received appeared to be faulty. It wouldn't stay on even with just water it in! I found it difficult to navigate the controls in general, not sure if that's just because it was faulty though. The retailer was accommodating and accepted a return for full refund. We didn't hear anything further about whether it was faulty or not. Show details
Ridiculously hard to dis- and re-assemble which is necessary to clean it! – This blends fine. But the blades need to be removed from the jug to clean it, which is difficult and requires too much wrist strength to do easily. Same strength is required to reassemble it - and if you don't fully twist it back on it leaks through the motor and out the base. I've done this 3 times now and am dispatching this poorly designed appliance to the bin! Show details
Love it and looks great! – Love my Smeg blender! Looks great and is easy to use. The motor is Quite and the blender is efficient to use. I use this daily for my protein shakes Would recommend this product. Show details
OK blender, better look than function – It is a really good looking blender, it will cover your basic needs if you want to make some ice cold juice. It is not easy to blend anything else apart from fruit. Not really easy to clean up though.

terrible promotion offer – Fantastic blender. Use it every day without issue. We purchased this over another model because of the promotion "Bottle to Go" attachment. Still have not received bottle after 7 months. Conned!! Show details
Cool retro looks, but leaks – Bought this blender because of its great looks and thought with the price it would be of quality. Unfortunately after only a few uses I noticed food accumulating in the base and inside the seals in the bottom of the jug. Food leaks through the bottom of the jug through a system of non-water tight seals at the base that are attached by 3 phillips… Read more
head screws. To keep clean this needs to be completely disassembled which is a real hassle. A big disappointment this failed so early after purchase, but the problem seems to be the design of the blender itself. Also the icons on the speed switch barely lasted a month before rubbing off. Looks great, but cheap quality and bad design that isn't built to last or be used often.
Awesome blender – Purchased in May and love it. Easy to use. Even my 20 something son uses it. I like the fact it has some weight behind it and doesn’t feel flimsy. The motor is really strong and has no drama getting thru fruit. The casing is easy to clean and I’m still learning more recipes Show details
Amazing blender 2nd review on the replacement of faulty blender – Can't say enough about how happy I am with Smeg's customer service. I now have a wonderful Smeg blender and it works a treat. My measure of a good blender is if it can make a pineapple smoothie without lumps and I can tell you that this blender does it with ease. This Smeg blender was a replacement for my first Smeg blender that just didn't seem… Read more
to blend. If you are thinking of purchasing a Smeg blender buy with confidence, not only does the product look great but it works so well and the customer service is brilliant.
Looks great and works great too – We bought these as a set with the kettle and toaster for our kitchen. This blender is great we have used it for mixing shakes, making jam and also pate to name a few things. It’s suprisinly effective and easy to clean. The added bonus is it’s super stylish so looks great on the bench top! Show details
Blender leaks – Purchased this blender on 29 July 17 and it now leaks. We used it only a few times. Looking closer there is a crack at the base of the blender. This is only 2.5 months old. Does not appear to be good quality. I have contacted Peters of Kensington to assist to rectify damaged - faulty poor product. Would not recommend this blender except for the retro look. Show details
