Great blender. We have had our omniblend V for over 10years. We are on our 3rd 2ltr jug. Last one received Nov 2024. We love this blender. The wet/dry blades did blend well however the new jug the central screw has come loose, I have been trying to get a resolution with omniblend Australia and have found it difficult to contact them after sending photos. Show details

Most pathetic service, ever – Own two machines, both gave up at the same time and after several calls, messages, still no reply. Even after contacting JTC in China (manufacturer) direct, all they could do waste time, again and then telling me that their distributor in Australia will contact me "Soon". Haha, soon, ...next year? No, Omniblend cost be now a lot of lost business. Omniblend? Never again! Show details

I love my OmniBlend V – I've had my Omniblend for 13+ years. Changed the blade at 10 years. It's quite loud on high speed but I use ear muffs to protect my hearing. I use this for pesto, nut milk, berry smoothies, soups etc. It's good to have an appliance that has lasted and if it died tomorrow I would express post another one because of the 7 year motor warranty Show details

Great Product but read the warranty – I bought a Omniblend V for home use only and it has been excellent. I use it everyday for a morning smoothie of which the hardest material I blend is frozen fruit. I am writing this as I am disappointed with the support from Omniblend Australia. At 3 years and 3 months the blender stopped working. It started making a high pitched sound when… Read more

blending and smoke came out of the base of the jug, filling inside the jug and smelled like burning plastic.

Believing I had a 7 year warranty I contacted Omniblend and was asked for photographs of the machine, tamper handle, jug and lid (including the lid plug). I was asked if I had blended the lid plug or tamper handle or had submerged the jug in water or washed it in a dishwasher. All of which I said "no", home use only and have looked after it.

After suppling this information I was informed that the 7 year warranty is for the engine only and the rest is 2 years.

It cost $128 for a new blade assembly as the bearings had gone in the jug. I installed this myself but if your not handy you will have to post the jug (at extra expense) to Omniblend Australia to repair for you.

Not nearly as good as a Vitamix at all, despite claims from the company – Let's get straight to the point: the Omniblend V is crappy compared to a Vitamix. It's an ok machine compared to $80 blenders and it lasted me 6 years, so that's pretty good. It makes flour, smoothies, nut milks, etc. It felt like a 4 to 5 star machine to me up until recently. However, now I know better. The company convinced me to buy an… Read more

Omniblend instead of a Vitamix 6 years ago by claiming that its performance is comparable to a Vitamix. It was cheaper too, so it seemed like an easy choice. They persuaded me with their horsepower numbers and comparing videos etc, but in the end; it's the quality of the design and materials that make the better blend.

I dropped the Omniblend jug, and it broke. The lid and the jug hadn't looked good for years, despite washing them every time. The jug was stained and dull and the lid kind of had this gross texture to it. A new jug was going to be $189, so I decided to buy a new Vitamix instead, as I didn't want to spend that much money on one jug and then have the motor give out in a year or so (not that there was any sign that it would, but I didn't know how long it would last past the 6 years I had already used it for).

The Vitamix Explorian 310 has a similar price to the Omniblend V depending on the deal. I got it for $471. And it blew my mind! The blends are soooo smooth I can hardly believe it. This is the definition of blending, it's so powerful and there are no separated chunks or slight grittiness at all. It makes everything taste amazing. It blows the Omniblend V out of the water and I wish I had gone for a Vitamix from the start! An Omniblend is a waste of money compared to a Vitamix. Plus the Vitamix company has existed for a long time, and is known for their durable machines, so it's likely to outlast the Omniblend by a mile as well. The Vitamix is a tad noisier, but they're both super noisy.

It's obvious to me now that an Omniblend is a total rip-off of a Vitamix. It looks similar in a lot of ways, but the materials and design are of way worse quality.

I would've given the Omniblend V 3 stars, as it did last 6 years and the motor is still fine, had they not been dishonest to saddle us with a knock-off of a Vitamix. Be honest about your product please. And stop buying people's reviews. The Explorian has like 4 reviews compared to 400 here, so I can see why people would go with this. I hope this honest review balances that out a bit and helps others to make a better choice than I initially did.

Good Blender – I got the Ominblend V which arrived early October this year. The blending is good. I have been doing both a blended juice in the morning (celery) which I strain with a nut milk bag and a smoothie later in the morning. Both have worked well and even tried to make banana ice cream with frozen banana. I'm about to get a new cold press juicer (from… Read more

a another company as I wanted a stainless steel unit) to do the juicing side but overall the blender works well. Bit of burnt rubber smell but I'm told that is normal.

Downsides:

Tamper is very cheap and broke very soon. I have to confess I had the top open so don't use the tamper without the top completely on. The cost of a replacement flimsy tamper with Omniblend is $25 so of course I didn't do that. I ordered a universal tamper on Ebay which was shipped to me for just over $5 and the tamper is much much better quality so please keep that in mind when your tamper (and it will) breaks.

The jug looks worn very soon and you cannot wash that, it just looks old and ratty but still works of course.

You cannot wash the jug in the dishwasher because the blades don't come off which is a huge downside because this would make the jug cleaner. Also when making something like ice cream with frozen fruit, it's very hard to get the stuff from under the blades. When making smoothies or juice it's not a problem but it would be way easier if you could remove the blades.

Also the lid doesn't stay on when the machine is working unless you hold it. I mean it will stay on for a short time but it will eventually after a few seconds unhitch itself with the vibration. This is also a downside as you cannot for example do something just next to the machine, you need to hold onto the lid.

Overall I got a refurbished unit for $100 less than the full price and I'm happy with it to date.

My New Love! – I have gone through: a NutriBullet in 8 months & a Nutri Ninja in 6 months because these machines took on average 3-4 minutes (staged as per their instructions) to get my morning smoothie to an acceptable consistency- it would seem they just couldn’t take the strain. The Omniblend takes less than 30 seconds and is so much quieter (a bonus for my… Read more

husband as I often blend @ 5am - he hated the others with a passion). I am also impressed with the ease it blasts through dry foods as well - powdered sugar in 3 seconds - looking forward to seeing what else it is capable of.

I read about the Omniblend earlier in the year, just after I bought my Nutri Ninja, and was interested in purchasing one but couldn’t justify having a second blender in my kitchen, so I am kind of pleased the Ninja blew up. I have been telling everyone about my new kitchen love! I am sure we will have many happy years together. I will give my Ninja away when it comes back from the ‘menders’ ( still under its one year warranty)

6 years in, changed a blade, and all's new again! – I have a Omniblend V 1.5L that's 6 years old. Machine and running was running great until now where I realised the blade is a bit blunt and lose, causing it to run at a rougher sound. Purchase a replacement blade set and everything works like new again! Very happy with the purchase and replacement part.

Powerful and so diverse in its use. 10 out of 10 – What a wonderfully powerful simple machine. It blends straight through anything you throw at it. I’m slowly experimenting with different processes like flour making, dips drinks etc. My husband is loving the iced coffee frappes. Plus there are so many recipes ideas available you’d be hard up not to find a use for it. 10 out of 10 Show details

Best blender I've ok owned, gone through 5 others before this one – I've tried multiple other brands Nutribullet, brevilles, sunbeams, hand blenders etc. Splashed out for the JTC Omniblend V about 3 years ago and wow. It's bullet proof. I regularly smash it with ice, hard ice cream, frozen berries etc, and it's just churns through it all. Best blender I've owned to date. Highly recommended. Thanks JTC for making such a reliable hard working appliance that still works the same as when I bought it years ago Show details

High-quality blender for a fair price – Since I am a raw vegan recipe creator, I need my blender to perform at its best - make the smoothest nut milks, creamiest smoothies and most flavourful sauces. water to get it going.

Right now, the blender still smells a bit on higher power which I have experienced before with other new kitchen gadgets in the past but I assume that this wears off about a few more weeks of usage.

It can get a little loud but to be honest, this is the case with basically any high-speed blender and I don't mind it as long as it gets my sauces, dressings, smoothies as creamy.

Great blender with lots of power!

Couldn't be happier – I have had my OmniBlend V for several months and I absolutely LOVE it. I have had many blenders, but this one out shines them all. I love that it's Australian own, and that the price is easy on the family purse. We use it on average three to four times a day to make smoothies. Great power. Annoying to get the last bits out of – The machine is powerful and blends things that none of my old blenders could. There are two issues that I am not satisfied with. One is that it is a total pain to get the remains out with thick liquids. You spend ages with odd shaped spatulas trying to go around the blades and get them out. The other is that you need a certain quantity for it… Read more ·  1

to work. Generally, this is more than 1 person will want to consume. So if you are used to blending up a small meal then eating, you will have to put double the quantities for the blades to churn it. Then put the leftovers aside.

I have contacted the company about this but they never got back to me. Which is odd, because when we were potential customers, the company had great communication.

Overall I am impressed with the power and capabilities of the unit. I guess you can't have it all.
