How do I reset my dishwasher?

The Dishwasher light is flashing on the END and I have tried all of the above reset options including holding the Start/Pause button whilst closing the door. Is there any other solution that I can try??

Hi Marilyn, This is the explanation from the manual: ANNULLING A PROGRAM To annul the program · press the START/PAUSE button (3 ) for a few seconds; the light of the phase in progress remains on and the light of the program in progress flashes (confirmation beep); · Keep the START/PAUSE button (3) pressed until the PROGRAM PHASES lights (5) go out (confirmation beep). “ P0 ” will appear on the DISPLAY and pump-out of the water in the tank will begin, ending the program at the point where it was interrupted. When the operation is complete, the PHASES/PROGRAM LIGHTS (5) flash. The water in the tank will be pumped out and the program will end at the point where it was interrupted. When the operation is complete, the PROGRAM PHASES lights (5) flash.

The on/off button of my Smeg dishwasher is on the top of the door so I am unable to hold the button down when the door has been closed
trying to reset the dishwasher as it is stuck on showing "End". Other comments have been to hold the on/off button while closing the door, but my on/off button is on the top edge of the door rather than the front of the door. Any solutions please.

How can I get my smeg dishwasher to open it's door? This is a poor reflection on smeg appliances that we've used for many years. I don't want to deal with ridiculous email information that you require ok. I Just want to know how it can be easily fixed. Not a big ask.
Hi pjnkarma, In order for the door to open at the end of the drying program, you need to select the ''Enersave" option. This is normally switched on automatically when a program has a drying phase. If you use the quick time option, this function is not available. Please refer to page 17 of your instruction manual for more information.

Just bought a DWA6315W and cannot get tree for open? Moves about a centimetre and them we can see a piece of metal preventing it orning further... wondered if it's a travel safety locking mechanism. anyone know how to release it?? Frustrated!!

We bought a DWA315W on 21/7/2016 and the unit has worked well until today when I went to use it I noticed the the word "End" was still showing on the display. So I pushed the door closed and pressed the Selection Programs (2) to cal ear the word "End" but the button dis not appear to work as the word "End" would not disappear. Can you please suggest a fix as the machine is only 9 months old.

Hi Richard, I'm sorry I can't answer your question as my model is quite old. I would suggest you contact SMEG for an answer as it should still be under warranty. My neighbour had problems with a brand new SMEG and eventually had it returned and they purchased a different brand altogether.
I've got extended warranty from The Good Guys, plus the machine is only 7 months old so I think I will be insisting on a new dishwasher, probably a Bosh, as everyone seems happy with their Bosh. Thanks for the reply
Hello Richard Thank you for your enquiry. To reset the control panel on your Dishwasher you first need to have the power on then open the dishwasher door. As you are reclosing the door you would need to also press at the same time the start/pause button.
I had the same problem today and the dishwasher reset as suggested above worked.3 years old and this was its first glitch.
We just bought a smeg dishwasher 2 weeks ago model dwa315w. Will operate while empty but not with any dishes in it. What could be the problem?
Hi Neil it could be something stopping one of the baskets going in all the way which will stop the door lock switch from turning on, check the stacking of the dishwasher.

We purchased a Smeg DWA 315W just over 3 months ago and it has been fine up until today. We have stack the dishwasher however the door won't close ? We have checked the trays and all 3 seem to be in the right spot, any Help?
Hi Brian it is usually the middle basket that is adjustable has not had both sides set to the same height, remove all the baskets and see what happens, if it is still not closing please call service on 02 8667 4833.

We bought a new SMEG dishwasher for our new house. We have used our dishwasher twice and now it is stuck on the END message.

Please can you explain why I get an electrical shock when I touch the lcd panel and possibly the sink and or the inside of the door when power is on? It's only 1 year old.

The dishwasher flashes "End" with other lights on the panel also flashing. Turning off the machine will not clear this. Unplugging the power will not eliminate the problem. Once plugged back in it continues to flash "End". The machine seems to be "stuck". Pressing the program button or any other button will not release the program from this flashing light and the dishwasher will not Start at all. Can someone please help me?
First close the door, then press the program button once (Top right). If you are trying it with the door open it won't work.

Does this model have a water softening system and if so where do you purchase the regenerating salt? Do you have to use the system if it is on this model ?
Salt not required only required if d/washer connected to bore water. Salt used in d/w is pool salt.
